      Slender-man deserves more, actually,
Question, if you can make all of the best Slenderverse makers come together, can you all team up and make a new Slender-Man series? Like Marble Hornets ??
      Just a curious question, that’s all. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Y'know, as I'm finishing this I've come to realize that the Slenderverse community almost has basically the same story as your average niche underground music scene that gets mildly popular. You have one band (Marble Hornets) that invents a new style of music and becomes popular enough to inspire a wave of bands from a particular area to imitate them and form a scene around their local proximity and shared style - I'm immediately reminded of how an Irish band, My Bloody Valentine, invented shoegaze and inspired a bunch of teenagers from the Thames Valley area of England to play shoegaze themselves and form a very incestuous scene. And the Sham House would be like the Slenderverse's American Football House (midwest emo). Even when the style becomes uncool and the scene dies, you still find people who came up in that scene continue to collaborate on later projects (think of Fripp and Eno, or what happened with basically all prog rock bands in the 80's). Hell, you even have that one band who years later has their leader get exposed for being a predator - it truly has it all.

They had their own issues... They just waited until after Marble Hornets to do the "band fights, breaks up, tries again, breaks up again" thing. :p The follow-up project, not Slenderman related (can't remember its name), was incredibly rocky and never finished. Didn't have a full vision, creators all disagreed on what to do, and some (relatively minor all things considered) financial impropriety with funds (using business funds to cover some personal debts iirc) kind of tanked things. Honestly dunno what the current status of all that is, I know Tim wanted nothing to do with the others for a while. I assume since he's in this, and there's a Creating Marble Hornets behind-the-scenes documentary thing the Marble Hornets account is posting about that things eventually got worked out, but yeah. They weren't 100% immune to drama, just knew to focus on their own thing and own vision for their initial project.

On one hand, I completely agree with NM. The Slenderverse brought so many creative people together and they crossed over into each others' series. It's something so unique to them. If it never happens again, then it just makes it that much more special as time goes on.
On the other hand, There's still a lot of fantastic creators out there doing cool stuff with Unfiction and it would be cool to have some crossover, even if it's very limited. Something as small as seeing someone from another project in a coffee shop for a split second in a video that shows it's canonically in the same universe, even if it's not directly involved. And from there, sharing themes or "rules." I just think there's a lot of potential and love the idea of "smaller" creators helping each other out.

It's kind of interesting to me that all the 'cult' versions I've seen have been the kind of traditional hooded robed semi-medieval type tropes, when they could have all been wearing dress suits and ties with the masks instead. Like; visually I think it would be interesting to see them mimicking it's form of dress to pay tribute. There could even be a thing where all the suits have to be tailored and flattering or the wearer becomes a sacrifice.

    • @PsycheTrance65

Maybe not suits but like, business casual wear. Button ups and polo shirts. The important thing would be that they adhered to the dress code to show cult-like behavior.

Dare I say the slender verse changed my life and how i perceive what’s scary and what’s not. I hope it resurges one day in one way or another. Me and my friends are actually trying to make a modern day web series about slenderman. The first episode is out. And I hope we can one day revive it with others ❤️

That's awesome. I got inspired to make my own series too and, ironically enough, the first episode's out too. It's called In the static of my daymares. What's yours called?

There's a lot of weird stuff and urban legends around here, and it's the reason things like "Weird NJ" exists. Not to mention our weird connections with horror in general.
We have the obvious ones like the Jersey Devil and Blairstown as the setting for "Friday the 13th". Then there's things like "Shades of Death Road", which is the ACTUAL name of a road with a dozen legends around it, and is conveniently located just south of Blairstown, lol.
