Highly interesting and entertaining talk about a truly brilliant, remarkable man. Thanks so much for uploading!

28:12 Yes, the character is a mad hatter. He's referred to simply as "the Hatter", but the Cheshire cat told Alice before she came upon the mad tea party that both the Hatter and the March Hare were mad. So even though the book doesn't use the term "mad Hatter" it does talk about a Hatter who happens to be mad.

Would you happen to know the meaning behind the "10/6" on the mad hatter's hat?

***** It's the price of the hat, in the pre-decimal British currency that was in use when the book was written - ten shillings and sixpence.

Great video! Though, what he said about Sylvie and Bruno being boring was disappointing. It was Lewis's Magnum Opus--really, amazing stuff. I suppose some people wouldn't like it but it really was fantastic.

I assume from the terrible overhead and keystoning effect that this lecture was delivered 20 years ago.
