Yeah, I think I have it set to Dpad Down to switch characters.

Question can you knock the fruit thing that costs 50 Pikmin off the ledge with oatchi?

I don't think so. The fruit is too high for a wall bump to affect it, and he can't go through the hole in the wall to get up there
