You know how some people that don't have a fireplace will put a video of a fireplace on their TV around the holidays? Well I'm going to do the same next Christmas with this video. 12 days of a idling charger. Lol
i can not confirm this, but my dad told me he had a green 69 charger just like it, he said he would get woke up around 4:30 or 5 am to the sound of the car cranking up, said the car had a specific skip to it so he knew it was his car. also two plug wires jumped off when my mom pulled onto the highway driving it. idk if its true just hear say
@@Balto1357 Did it ever pull some Goldeneagle style shenanigans on him, like opening the doors while going down the highway? The plug wires sound like something Goldeneagle would do, that's for sure.
@@lsswappedcessna not sure, but when i was 8 mom had a 78 camaro, on the way home from the barber shop, she took a immediate left turn and she ended up grabbing my shirt as the door flew wide open and scared us both, that car might aswell be haunted cause for some reason, when she turned the switch on, the windshield wipers would turn on and go up and down one time on its own while the wiper switch was off and turn back off perminatly until you used the switch, i always felt classics have much more personality then the new cars would ever have
I’m a born and raised hot rod guy and the charger sounds SICK , but every now and then a good ol’ diesel sends chill down your back . Is the Cummins going to be a future build ? . Give the ol’ dog a pet for me will ya . Sorry I forgot his name . Cheers .
I came for that Charger but that sound of the Cummins is appreciated too. I wish the newer diesels had a distinct sound like that. My dream is to build a 69 Charger one day! Videos like these motivate me to do it.
The first minute or two of the Charger idling cold takes me back to my childhood!! You see back in the fall of 1968 my next door neighbor bought a new car, a car the likes I as a small child had never seen before!! THAT CAR was featured in an issue of Mopar Magazine and is owned by William Card.....and the car was (and is) a 1969 Dodge Daytona Charger!!! At five years old I still recall those cool spring and summer morning start ups!! The way that Mopar engine ran EARLY in the morning with a crackle, crackle, crackle like it was missing a cylinder here and there randomly until it "warmed up" and "smoothed out", then it was a steady thump, thump, thump of the big block power rumbling to life! I really miss cars like that!! The sound is musical and hypnotic as you listen to the throbbing horsepower and choppy cam note! Of course as a kid I would hear the car start and then run to my bedroom window to watch that pointed nose and huge deck winged car slowly pass by in front of my house!! I was only 5 years old after all, and to me that is HOW a car was supposed to sound like!! Sure my uncle's GTO Judge was a nice car and the one kid my mother babysat had a father who drove (and raced) a Cuda and a Road Runner, but nothing impressed me more than that Daytona did rumbling by every morning!!
Can we all give Dylan a "Hell Yeah. Loud and proud. Love that sound Dylan. A suggestion for the exhaust. No muffler 3 inch straight pipe from the headers.
I miss my 2 door 67 Plymouth valiant, 275 car with a swapped in 340. I had the car from 2000 to 2006. 2650 lbs with 320 horsepower. The only way you could see it wasn’t stock was the rear wheels and tires, which were stock but were widened by 1.5 inches. Still steel wheels with black powdercoat and the Plymouth mini moon hubcaps, but with 9” tires. The only other way to tell was the lope of the 340 through dual 2.5” exhaust which everyone asked about! I had many questions from people asking what big block was in it!
Open headers are the best option if you really want to make some noise and that's no joke, my father's exhaust pipe setup fell off from hitting a giant rock in the road and once he tried to start it on just open headers...you could feel the popping noise on the ground next to the engine it was thumbing , but anyways open headers are worth checking out if your looking for extreme exhaust notes
The Charger sounds soooooo mean! Nice. What kind of exhaust are you considering? When I was in High School I had a 1967 Barracuda 383 Formula S. We had to modify some Hooker Headers to get it to fit. Put on some collector mufflers and a 2 into 1 collector so that it exited the pipe at a 45 so the tip was right in front of the back wheel passenger. Kind of like a NASCAR look. Took a large single stainless exhaust tip and "squished" it in a press to make an oval out of it. Really cool side exit. Loving the Ratty Muscle Charger. The patina on this Charger is perfect! Can't wait to see it on the road. Keep it up bro! Cheers! Mike
Definitely a diesel on the pick up. You can hear the turbo whining and the exhaust smoking. The charger was beautiful. The exhaust tip was like oh my gosh!! Here we go 😬. 😂😂👍
I just want to know where i can get a set of lockout hubs like on the front of that ole cummins, only the second one ive seen with that style id like to put a set on my 78 power wagon i swapped to 92 cummins dana 60f and 70 rear
@@kertwhite6214 it was already rescued from the junkyard. This channel has vehicles from the junkyard, anybody who says it should not at the junkyard are sick and twisted.
After hearing what you said about problems with your Dart I'm reminded of what Thomas Edison said when asked about the 116 failures of the first lightbulb," those were not failures I simply found 115 ways to not make a lightbulb."
Is there anything to the old myth or whatever of cold air reversion warping valves then the warp causes them to burn? The old theory was that cold air freely enters when the engine is shut down. If it is possible I would think running short straight pipes(or none) on cold Iowa winter days might be a bad thing. I'm no mechanic but have drank alot of beer with old time shadetree mechanics back in the day, some of them were even good at wrenching! Lol.
Dylan. One question, How do you find all of those old cars? Like I’ve been to my local parts yard and have seen a few classics laying around but just thought it was a question worth asking.
