thanks for this comparison
RAC was my favourite next to Sordins, because sound profile for RACs felt good for me and because you could getRAC on flea for like dirt cheap but because you made this video they are 50k on flea now . :(
only 8k more than Comtac 2's from ragman, so not that bad tbh
walking and running are both loud right? I know this takes a bit of time to test but how do these all work against Stealth movement? is it all the same but take away 5-10 maybe?
If you put the stealth movement to the slowest and crouch walk while underweight it is completely silent for the other player. It makes noise on your screen, but that is client sided and they cannot hear it.
There's gotta be some distance where you can hear stealth movement even if people are under their weight limit. Why else would they have sound buffs on common and uncommon ground when you level up?@@127twilson
@@redaminsleven2212its bugged this wipe pretty sure. tested with a friend while i had 70kg on me
Selling all my comtac 2s after this video 😂
The RAC is my favourite.
Man of science.
Dude wtf is that test.... I mean the results, this is aweful, but great test you did good job.
There is no problem with tarkov anymore that offline sound is different than online ?
are these results still valid in current tarkov 8/17/24 ?
Binaural?
Damn, I've been playing with GSSH for 3000 hours.. still have 70% survival though, I wonder how I would play if I could hear 25 meters further.
k, but shoulda done w/ a 0 skill account for a baseline (perception), and/or include what your perception skill is w/ the bonus it provides.
found the guy who watched like 10 seconds
@@reaper314 ah yes, because i missed the 4 seconds in the middle of a video, i only watched 10 seconds. got it.... it's a detail that should have been up front at the start of the video. That's called clarity of information and communication.
May i ask u to do a slow walk and crouch walk test with different speeds? One headset is enough but it would be cool to know the difference in close combat fights!
crouch walk sounds are reduced by skill level
Gssh are and will always be the best for the price
great job man appreciate your effort
Pestily mentioned he tested them and they are all equal. Is he wrong? Any statements how he came to that conclusion?
dumb
Excellent 49 meter shot!
great video!
Is this with or without binaural audio? Cause it’s bugged tf out rn
Dude. to be completely honest. I didnt hear a single step in your tests. I sometimes get suprised by scaves that come around the corner just 20 meters away from me. their steps suddelny apper with them just a short time after
Why did pest say that they made no difference for hearing range? The heck
what about ambient noise reduction? thats pretty huge too with a headset
Would be interesting to see the same but with sneaking
When slow walking (crab walking) you are virtually inaudible unless you're about 3-5 meters away which is insane;
thanks sheef
Great video
I wonder if different headsets get more audio bugs? lol
Sad thing ill never get my traders high enough for those
when you get max peception test the sound with no headset and wearing an altyn compared to a fresh level 0 perception with comtacts
...just go by the %increase?
How come nobody ever test the audio is you are walking standing at the slowest speed, that's what I want to know. You can get by in this game with no headphones when everyone is sprinting like it's cod but the moment anyone does any stealth is when you absolutely need headsets.
This game needs some better stealth mechanics in general, and footsteps shouldn't be so damn loud. Also this man saying almost half of the headsets aren't even worth using is just wild. They are ALL useful considering most people don't have access to all of that nor want to spend 80k for 20 extra meters of hearing. Any headset is better than none, and most aren't even needed unless you on wide open maps.
Comtac 4s and a face shield didn’t save that Chad from my one tap so I sold the Comtac 4s I think they where found in raid tbh as I remember selling them to flea 😂
i turned my pc to max and i legit cant hear these max ranges...
1:19 how can you hear walking? pumped up all the volume got 0 footsteps... the hell
And people tell me there's no difference anymore smh
A test needs to be made on different materials.Grass, snow, dirt
How about verticality? on a older reddit post i saw some headsets are bad at it.
i watched this video a month ago, i ran xcels for like 20 raids before i realized that they still suck vertically. I could never hear people in the same building as me until they hit the landing on the stairs (usually too late). I only run comtac 4s > sordins > m32s now and i haven't had much if any surprises in buildings. Also enemies running away from you apparently can be heard from farther.
Even 5 meter difference is massive imo cause the guy with better headphones can just stop and listen immediately.
thank you!!!!!
Seems this wipe the only headset worth wearing are contac 4s
The ggsh, I always throw it out, whenever I spawn as scav, I hate it.
I’ve always ran gssh or contac 2s because their the cheapest and I thought they were basically all the same but nah
Sordins for life
people still sleeping on RAC. Good for me at least!
I usually always wear comtac 2's. M32's just make everything very loud. Including my own footsteps.
I blame sheef for comtac 4s proce going from.100k to 300k now
What about the snow step noise? Can you test that?
Snow is loud. Even underweight and slow crouch walking you can be heard on snow.
@@colby1398 Just tested with a mate, no matter the surface you can't hear people crouching on the lowest setting. You can hear it yourself clientside but its not serverside.
Can you test what kind of distances you get when wearing helmets with ear protection or ear components like the Ulach, Team Wendy and Ops core side armors?
ty
Now I know why that thing f costs 100k
I'm gonna keep running 2s if only because they reduce ambient noise more than any other headset besides the 4s as far as I can tell, and I'm too much of a fucking miser to drop 100-200k on a headset more than once in a few raids lol
Live me some tac sports
Whenever I kill someone that has ComTac 4's, I go schizo for the rest of the raid 😂 They are so OP it's not even funny. Hearing sniper scav on the rooftop when I'm so far away... Being all the way at skeleton hearing people sprint and jump at stronghold is also pretty wild as well
