This 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle Restomod has that sleek and commanding look we all love in a coupe built in the best of the muscle car era. But beneath this skin, this classic is a true restomod with fuel-injected V8 power, power disc brakes, and some of the best modern conveniences around. So, you get the style you love, and an awesome cruiser feel.
This makes a nice first impression. The deep black paint is a more modern application and a great choice for a car that's built to hit the street while being impressive. So, there's a nice depth and a good shine without coming off as a World of Wheels level of impractical. Nice body lines and bright chrome bumpers make sure this gets the iconic classic style right. Plus, upgrades like the blackout grille, cowl induction hood, and LSX/SS badges make for the right Super Sport vibe. We especially like the bright racing stripes done in white, and we are glad it was painted on for a crisp and clean durability. A terrific finish touch is the set of Billet Specialties wheels on a lowered suspension using UMI's amazing suspension. They have the style that goes with an American muscle car like this, but the larger 20-inch size gives it the stance of a proper modern machine. So, it announces this is a true restomod.
The black interior has a clean style that's quite inviting and you do not have to worry about this interior being hot because its got ice cold A/C. The front seats have the classic low-back look, but they are a modern upgrade for superior bolstering and comfort. The door panels, carpeting, and dash all have the look of a proper investment. It's a proper driver's car with classic features like the Chevy three-spoke sports steering wheel and horseshoe shifter in the center console. This is joined by the bright glow of the new white face gauge package. While the dual exhaust will always make a fine soundtrack, this has an awesome audio system. The Retro Sound AM/FM/ stereo has USB and Bluetooth.
The engine bay is ready for primetime. The smooth inner walls, well-hidden wires, clean black valve covers, and overall tidy setup loves to show off the upgraded heart. The 5.7-liter LS1 V8 is a modern fuel-injected wonder that consistently delivers big power and its controlled by Holley's terminator computer system. The clean style also means you'll easily spot the good supporting components, like the aluminum radiator and dual electric cooling fans. The long tube headers add power while also adding to the nice rumble of the dual exhaust. It's mated to the three-speed automatic transmission, which provides you with the right balance of strength and torque. Plus, you have power steering, modern ZR-rated tires, and the superior stopping power of front power disc brakes.
