Maori director does excellent job acting as Boy's father. Also loved his film Hunt for the Wilderpeople. A good movie for me is I want to watch it many times to catch up on stuff I missed on first few viewings.
When I was at primary school in the mid 1980's every school had a "Boy" . our "Boy" was a lad called Robbie . One day he bought in some of his dad's marijuana to school . Another day he bought some of his dad's whiskey and beer as well . I must admit we all drank some of the beer. He bought a big bottle in so we all got to taste some Beer .We were all only 9 ,haha !!
