When you said 'they were hungry', yes you are right. This song 'Danger' is the title track of their 1st full studio album (after 3 mini albums) DARK&WILD, released in August, 2014. Their label cum management company was still not strong financially at the time, so this album was considered a 'do or die' for them. They were desperate and gave it all out. I'm amazed that you could sense their determination through this dance practice alone. Among industry players in SK, BTS dance style has always been described as 'razor-sharp' 😊.
They were def hungry during this period! They said they used to pause/freeze their practice videos frame by frame to make sure they were all in sync and angles were all the same. And that's why they are kings now 💜
I know this is old but maaaan this has gotta be one of the best reaction videos I've seen. A lot of people do fake hype reactions, but this is so genuine I can feel it, and the hype is appropriate because this video is mind-blowing! Still one of the best dance videos I've ever seen. And yes, they were quite literally hungry at the time... at this time they were skipping meals, struggling to pay rent, and nearly disbanded several times, but they took that hunger and used it as motivation to become so good that people would be forced to take notice!
this is still my favorite bts dance practice as you said you can feel the hunger and energy they were giving and it’s true because during those years they had a lot of people doubting them so they were eager to prove everyone wrong and look at them now they’re the most successful group
I'm grinning like an idiot rn. Every time someone praises BTS so enthusiastically it's straight euphoric to me. Please, please check out the choreo 3 members of BTS did to the Butter ft. Megan Thee Stallion remix 🙏
Lol this was back when their choreography was still firm and isolated but over the years as they gotten older its became more firm and loosen because they've been focusing on more freestyling and individuality within the group.
I have watched this so many times, and it stays just as good as the 1st time I watched. Yeah, their hunger shows, as does the hunger of the choreographer; pretty sure this is Son Song Deuk choreography.
They worked *hard* on their Dark and Wild album. You're right about that hunger. I'm not sure which choreography you've already reacted to, but if you haven't yet, I'd like to recommend a couple underrated ones: I Need U and I'm Fine. :)
They would practice like that for about 13 hours everyday to the point of collapse but now I think its like reduced down to maybe between 6 to 12 hours a day.
That's our President RM right there with the boots! I'm soo glad you pointed that out, since he is considered one of the "ones who can't dance or one of the weak dancers". He is my bias and I love him so much, everything he and they do is amazing!!!😍🥰💜🌌💫
i’m so glad y’all finally checked this out!! danger dance practice is one of my absolute FAVORITES they’ve done, i was mind blown when i first saw this when i was getting into them. everything was extremely clean and sharp, they always work so hard. all 7 of them killed it as always!
All their dance pratice videos are lit and you'll get to appreciate their dance nore coz you will get to see the whole choreography of their dance. Please check on their other dance practices videos like Bulletproof pt2, Attack on Bangtan, Bapsae, Fire, Go Go, Not Today, Mic Drop and a lot more. They are worth watching for. Thanks
Soooooooo if I can leave a request, I would love to see you all react to BTS “DOPE” and “DNA” dance practice. This is one of my fav video choreographies from them.
They work so hard ever since and yes, you can really feel the hunger and energy on this dance practice video. Thank you for your reaction, I love it.Hope you can check more of BTS contents. i don't know if you have watch it already, latest video of 3J on Butter remix is also explosive. So short but "sweet" . For sure you will like it.
"THAT WAS HUNGER." yep coz this was their early years where they had to work extra hard to overcome all the hardships attached to them being from a small company and that they weren't given a lot of opportunities coz of it. Ya'll should check out the videos summarizing the struggles of BTS and you realize that they really deserve all the love and that AMA ARTIST OF THE YEAR AWARD AND SOON A GRAMMY.
I so enjoy your reaction videos to BTS’ dance practices. In 2016 I saw a video for BTS dance practice. I didn’t know who they were I just clicked on the video because I enjoy watching people that can dance (I can’t dance, but admire those who do). I watched every dance practice of theirs that was on RUclips and I was so impressed with these amazingly talented young men that I started loving their music! I am such a fan of BTS and I’m not your typical fan, I’m 69 years old and own all their albums. These guys are the very best!
YES!!! I've been waiting for this and requesting for so long, I knew you'd enjoy this. Since you liked this you NEED to check out "Boy IN Luv" Dance practice, not Boy WITH Luv that you did the other day. This one is an older song as well, and the choreo is intense and detailed like Danger. Please check out BTS Boy IN Luv Dance Practice.
Once again, BTS proving themselves...even 7 years ago. Lol!!! It is just so hilarious and crazy how these kids or teens this young can dance, sing&rap, produce, compose, and write like this.
I love you all so much haha. Every time you were like "ahhhhh!" I'd be cackling hahahhaa. Danger is def top tier, and they were def super hungry for it and you can FEEL it. There's something about this one that just grabs me over and over. I can never stop watching it.
This is a choreography by Son Sung Deuk. Mr. Son has been with BTS since the beginning. He started as an in-house choreographer for BigHit Entertainment (now HYBE) and he is now the Performance Director for HYBE. He has choreographed many of BTS's dances, and when they would hire choreographers from other countries, he would be the one to receive a recording of the choreo and teach it to the members.
Yall would love “We are Bulletproof pt2” Dance practice. Thats also vintage BTS and you can see the hunger in it as well. That clip is soooo slept on, cause the song wasnt as big as their other hits.
You guys should check out the 3J (Jhope, Jimin and Jungkook) Butter Choreography and the behind the scenes so you can see what goes into making a dance practice video! Btw I'm loving your reactions :)
BTS dance choreographies are out of this world. Thier footwork and movements are insane I tell yah! You guys should check out all of their dance practices and performances. YOU WON'T REGRET WATCHING IT I PROMISE!
Hehe! Givi'n RM props for dancing in timbs but not realizing the he is not the best dancer of the group and is prolly the one who needed to practice soooo much. Also, I bet your jaws are gonna drop when you hear him rap.
You're right, they were hungry. BTS would practice til they passed out to make sure their choreography and performance would be perfect. At the time, everyone in the industry was telling them they would fail and that it didn't matter how hard they worked because they came from a small company. BTS took all the criticism and bs from people and turned it into their motivation to work even harder; clearly it payed off. BTS are definitely more confident in themselves and their status now. They don't feel the need to do constant strong and sharp choreography (although they're amazing at it) and just do whatever feels right for the song (like adding contemporary for Black Swan). But no matter how much they blow up, they remain humble and work tirelessly to give back the love and support we give them. Stan a group that stans you back 💜
Its true. If you watch old BTS videos, dance practices, performances, there is a fire in their eyes, a hunger to prove themselves. Their choreo has always been tight, their execution always on point. After all theyve been thru, they now have developed individuality and were allowed freedom on execution. Not to say that theyve relaxed, no. Theyre always reinventing themselves and honing their skills in any and all aspects of music.
Your reactions are full of commentary that allows me to learn more about BTS dance despite having seen this dance for years over and over. But moreso than just your expertise, I enjoy how much you guys respect each other. I can tell you guys are close friends and it is just so awesome to watch.
What they say about their early work is they were sharp and clean then because they knew that their music was good but to others it was just like everyone else's so they had to do something that was worth taking a look beyond their music and that was their dance. Their dancing was clean and sharp and strong. Many people said that they could go into a dance competition and hold their own. I believe that to be true. Now their dancing is more interpretive and understated. They dance in a style that makes it easy for others to replicate their work. They love for the fans to enjoy their music but to enjoy and participate in their dance as well. So unless they are doing an award show they do dancing that is easy to do at home.
I am pretty confident that almost all of BTS performances, and practice videos are clean! They put so much effort into their live concerts and practice videos. All because they know that ARMY everywhere are watching plus they absolutely love what they do! But I’m here for these reactions
I saw where they would record each practice. Bang PD would randomly stop it at any point and if not in synch - they did it again and again!! That’s passion. Professionalism and Dedication. 💜🇺🇸
This is literally my favourite bts dance practice so i get super happy whenever someone reacts to it, ESPECIALLY dancers. Like yall said you can SEE the hunger in them and the accuracy and sharpness and formation and power and just everything is literal perfection. Ngl i still think danger is hella underrated when people talk about bts title songs and choreos. In my eyes it's still one of their very best to this day
I love this practice. The energy and hunger is so evident, like you said. They needed to prove themselves to keep going financially; one more thing that made them the amazing group they are today. 💜💜
I highly recommend reacting to As The World Caves In choreography video by Jake Kodish. I recommend watching the full video as all the dancers especially the one at the end are amazing !!
Taken from reddit Son Sungdeuk - BigHit’s performance director, Choreographs and teaches choreography to BTS Keone Madrid - Choreographed Dope, Fire, Blood Sweat & Tears, Not Today Quick Style Crew - Choreographed Save Me and Blood Sweat & Tears Carlo Darang - Helped to choreograph Dope Dylan Mayoral - Choreographed Boy Meets Evil Jung Hoseok (Jhope) - He’s the main dancer and dance captain for BTS, so I’m guessing he helps to teach the members when they’re practicing (Bonus) Julia Yang The main guy is Son Sungdeuk aka Mr. Son. He is BigHit's performance director and dance teacher, so he's the one who coordinates the performances and teaches them the actual dance moves. J-Hope is dance captain/leader, which means that he will take charge whenever Mr. Son is out of the picture. So I would imagine that most of the time when the members are practicing (Mr. Son can't possibly be there all 10 hours, right?) J-Hope teaches them. They've also worked with guest choreographers like Keone Madrid and Quick Crew. Carlo Darang also helped to create Dope. A good number of their dances aren't attributed to a single person though, like Spring Day and many non-title tracks. It's often a tough game to figure out who choreographed what.
lol..I knew ya'll would love this. They were just babies back then and to think out of all seven. only two had danced before joining BTS...J-Hope, a long time street dancer and Jimin, a student of classical dance. Heck some had never sang OR danced before! This is what training 12-16 hours a day will get you!! Great, great reaction guys!! I LOVE the dance practices! ARMY grandma
2014 was not the best of days for BTS; they recorded most of the songs for this album in LA in a garage, Big Hit called in favors for equipment. BTS was shooting their reality show "American Hustle Life" AND recording their first full-length album "Dark&Wild", that's the crazy schedule and pressure (financial, emotional, physical, mental) they were under. But they did not skimp when it came to quality; the members, agency, management and staff, as always, put forth their best efforts for content and we are the beneficiaries. I think your reaction attests to that, all these years later. Their mindset going into each project may change with regards to their goals, but they will always (always) put in the effort that cannot be quantified. I believe that is one of the reasons that contributes to their stratospheric success (there are "n" number of reasons but that's just one). Again, great reaction, thank you!
I’ve been waiting for this!!! If you haven’t already you guys have to check out We Are Bulletproof pt. 2 dance practice you will not regret it! And as always love your guys’ reaction! Glad to see my favorite guy come back!
and they also sing very well WHILE doing this choreography on stage and it's usually accompanied with other performances as well. like how are they real?
Their so in sync it's crazy😭 also I'm not sure if it's true but I read somewhere that Mr Son (their choreographer) would film them doing the choreography and then watch it in slo motion to see if they were in sync and if they weren't they would keep doing it until they were. So BTS worked hard and they were definitely hungry. They wanted it and it shows in their old dance practices. Another cool, old dance practice is Boy In Luv. So clean and sharp🔥
Know what you all mean, I just discovered BTS this year, as well. All those years I used to diss em as just another trending dance group, to BTS I'm sorry. Their choreography is crazy.
This is one of the hardest and one of my favorites. Danger is danger!!!! You are so right, they were hungry and it shows. These young men deserve the world. Apologies accepted.
Haha I just commented on the Boy in luv vid saying it is one of my fav's - well this is another fav. Their dancing is just. so. clean. And the footwork and sharp powerful, moves is so satisfying. Love your reactions!
Y’all need to look up BTS’ history. They had such a hard time from the beginning. Their label was almost bankrupt, they nearly disbanded (a couple times), they had death threats, were (are) repeatedly attacked online and in the media. Danger wasn’t until their 4th album. They didn’t get a win on a music show until their 6th album. And no, BTS wasn’t adored and loved in Korea. They still aren’t. Most of the fans they have are international fans. The large music companies in Korea and fellow artists/fandoms had antis who shunned them and either were angry or jealous of them. Many ARMY don’t consider BTS as kpop just for the shit they went (and do) go through. If you want to see a journey of rags to riches and destiny, BTS is it.
STILL got haters....look at those thumbs down already on this great reaction. Come on HATERS....which group you fanning over that's better than BTS? None. period.
Dope, Not Today, No, Save Me, so one and so forward. You watch these and you fall in love. Also Idol, Dynamite and We Are Bulletproof . Man you are in for a ride. 💜👍
Dionysus with the full dance break is the one you need to check out. You'll love it.
ooh it's gonna blow their minds
SURE!!!
Oh sweet baby Jesus in a manger wrapped in swaddling clothes YES!!!!!!
Yeeeessss ! They will love it !!
Dionysus original dance practice is better. Their dancing is so much cleaner than the mma ver cuz the mma ver was a rehearsal not a dance practice

Not sure what cum management company is. They have only been with BigHit.
@@armystacinator6732 It just means label/management company. OP is referring to BigHit. They just used a term you're not familiar with.
@@armystacinator6732
Yeah, it just kinda means something like “also known as,” when used in a context like this.
As dancers, you can see it from their face even without knowing their background.🙏
They were def hungry during this period! They said they used to pause/freeze their practice videos frame by frame to make sure they were all in sync and angles were all the same. And that's why they are kings now 💜

J-Hope: You can see the hunger in our eyes.
V: That's the eye liner.
😂🤣😂🤣😂
Jimin has said this was one of their hardest choreos, I'm sure it has changed since with ON and black swan recently but it's still one of my favorites
And every time you pause a BTS dance practice, I swear, they're all in the same position!
I have watched this so many times, and it stays just as good as the 1st time I watched. Yeah, their hunger shows, as does the hunger of the choreographer; pretty sure this is Son Song Deuk choreography.
Yes. Mr Son is the best.
I love this song as well.
NEXT “BTS- Boy in luv”
yes ...
so glad to see y’all give this the praise it deserves. still one of my top dance practices.
I think you guys would like the Black Swan Choreo by BTS. It’s more contemporary than the others you’ve checked out. I hope this one will be next!🤞
They worked *hard* on their Dark and Wild album. You're right about that hunger.
I'm not sure which choreography you've already reacted to, but if you haven't yet, I'd like to recommend a couple underrated ones: I Need U and I'm Fine. :)

If you can get War of Hormone and Save Me that would be awesome, can't wait to hear your thoughts!
I call this dance practice my "moment of zen" 😅 It's just so crispy, it makes everything right with the world 💜
This choreo is just sooooo satisfying to watch. The synchronicity is just * 💜 perfection.
I love your expertise and appreciation for when they were HUNGRY. Yes they were and your eye for even the little points, thanks for noticing.
Makes me quite teary eyed because even to this day people criticise their dancing and then you have ACTUAL dancers admiring their skill. 👏🏽
This is one of my favorite BTS dance practices and it put the hugest smile on my face seeing your guys loving it too
That's our President RM right there with the boots! I'm soo glad you pointed that out, since he is considered one of the "ones who can't dance or one of the weak dancers". He is my bias and I love him so much, everything he and they do is amazing!!!😍🥰💜🌌💫
they all can dance. BTS' worse dancer would be any other groups best dancer.

THIS is what got me hooked onto BTS! Although it was so many years later, the vid is still just as impressive as if it had just been released.
!!!!
You should definitely see "Jump" live. See the early one in their career that they did.
Personally, I've always found the "Boy in Luv" dance practice to be one of their best (:

Son Sungdeuk - BigHit’s performance director, Choreographs and teaches choreography to BTS

The guy in blue and red shirt is J-Hope he is the danceleader and mix in his moves in the dance, he was also a streetdancer for 10 years before Bts
I’ve been waiting for this!!! If you haven’t already you guys have to check out We Are Bulletproof pt. 2 dance practice you will not regret it! And as always love your guys’ reaction! Glad to see my favorite guy come back!
i think their practice for IDOL is insane
and they also sing very well WHILE doing this choreography on stage and it's usually accompanied with other performances as well. like how are they real?
BTS are amazing they work so hard and you can tell by their singing and dancing how hard the work. Their dancing is on point to perfection 👌.
Omg! TYSM for reacting to BTS “DANGER” ~ one of my all time favs! TY TY! 💕😎
(My fav from you guys so far! )
I fuckin KNEW you guys would love this one. Super happy all 3 of you are here for this one
I always listen to their feet when they hit the ground. You can here 1 hit, not 7!
Can not wait to you watch the run dance practice it is so slept on and underappreciated.
They are the best for sure, no one is better then BTS
Danger dance practice is what made me ARMY.
You guys do a great job of breaking it down. As a former dancer, I appreciate your reactions. Keep going👍
When you hear full-grown men screaming over beautiful choreography, you know the artists are doing their crafts right~
I love that y'all caught the ripple. I feel like not enough people catch how dope that is 😂
yasss finally!!! the reaction Danger deserves 😍 same reaction when i first saw this haha
