They're all great artists, and I think it's great to see them working together on this type of music. It isn't how long you've been in it, but how much of an impact you've made and splash in that ocean. They've all done a great job, respective to the exact time frames they've been doing what they do. Can you really pick between all your top fav artists? It's difficult! :-)
Paul Van Dyk is and has been bigger longer than Owl City has been around. I don't really feel like Adam's voice fits Paul's style but its a good, and welcomed change up!

The emotion you had was real, and the emotion he had was real. Remember this for future relationships, because then you can think back to happy memories you have of the person after your relationship ends, instead of focusing on all of the bad memories:)

Well, saying that Adam Young "would be offended to be called" an icon, infers that you TOTALLY know he'd be offended by a fan who was being positive towards him by calling him an icon. Which by definition means 'A person or thing regarded as a representative symbol of something'. So he can be an icon, and icon in music, and icon of a certain genre of music, etc... it all depends on opinion. Also, I don't understand why religion has anything to do with whether or not Adam Young is an icon.
I think ATB would be playing it too safe (although it will still sound good because they are of the same basic genre). The cross punk is kinda like Owl City's song "Dementia" with Mark Hoppus but if it was with PVD, it would be much more trance-like. Knowing PVD, I feel like he just pumped out this song rather quickly appeasing the Owl City fans without putting in any of his usual well-produced style into it.
Lol we have to admit.... the man wrote a song about a thing called Grizz that does nothing but eat... he's PRETTY odd. BUT that isn't an insult...at least the way I see it. I'm almost sure, most of the people here are referring to definition number 5 or number 3 when it comes to the word icon.
