Coming back here at memory lane. I used to play this song during our picnic never knew that it will hit harder after 8 years. "Mark the chapter, but turn the page Always keep, to kids in the street"
I’m here in June 2024. Brings back memories of me and my skater friends hanging out in my garage wishing we could escape suburbia. I’m now a 38 year old surfer who thanks the lord for my suburbia life. We were to stoned to realise how good we actually had it dude
Tysons adds to the compendium of childhood. His voice sounds like those of the people I've grown up with telling me it's okay. It's a soft melancholy feel that he adds but it's like the chorus to growing up. The lyrics and voice evoke a splendid lonely feeling that no one else can add to a piece of literature or music. It's like the soft dulicid tones of a good father I've never had
i think the thing i love about them is the fact that literally no one sounds like them at all. tysons voice is so uniqure and that's what makes them so unique. i've been listening to them since i was about 5 or 6 and i'm not almost 15 and i've loved their music even from a young age when i had no idea what they were saying. they need a COMEBACK!
Me and my best friend just came back from their concert and I completely forgot about this song … while they played this song at the concert my friend was scream singing and the realization hit me ~~~ the nostalgic hit us real hard 🥹 our first concert together was this exact band over a decade ago so it was amazing reliving everything and new memories ❤
"Kids In The Street" In the night, in the beat city light We steal ourselves away and hold on tight You were there, yeah, we were all there Too young, too smart, too much for this one town We'd get so high, we got lost coming down When we were kids in the street, kids in the street When we were kids in the street, just kids in the street Remember when we We used to laugh, we used to cry Live and die by the forty-five Take me back, I'll go there Who could stop us, and who would care? Always keep, to the kids in the street We were dreams, we were American graffiti scenes But no war, no peace, no hope, no means, just us And the songs, with the words we'd sing wrong And we'd drive until that jealous sun fell down Just to wash ourselves in the moonlight summer sounds When we were kids in the street, kids in the street When we were kids in the street, just kids in the street Remember when we We used to laugh, we used to cry Live and die by the forty-five Take me back, I'll go there Who could stop us, and who would care? Always keep, to the kids in the street (huh, huh, huh) and we never felt, so alive (so alive) (Huh, huh, huh) and we'd dance, all, night, under the sky (under the sky) (Whoa, whoa, whoa) and we'd live (we'd live), we'd breathe (we'd breathe), we'd die (we'd die) (Whoa, whoa, whoa) when the world, stood, still, for you and I Just (you and I) Candles burn, 'cause the world will always turn I'll burn both ends until my fire's out Lost in the darkness, I can still scream out (aaah) We used to laugh, we used to cry Say goodbye to I-35 Take me back, down a dirty road Where it went, we didn't care to know A glory night is a story saved Mark the chapter, but turn the page Always keep, to kids in the street When we were kids in the street Just kids in the street (Whoa) (Whoa-ooh)
saw them perform last night and they played this song for their encore--they used these SAME light up instruments! It was so fantastic. One of the best concerts I've ever seen. THIRD ROW!
I've made a lot of mistakes as a teen.....but my dream is to get rich and help other people...and bring this genre back to life I will do that someday....this band made me who I am...me and my friends always rock to their music....I love this band's songs so much and other pop rock songs...I will make this comeback someday...thanks for making our night drives, exploring abanodned buildings etc memories much more memorable.
Love you bro I’m right there with you!! I am sober for the first time in my life since I was a kid and I’m so grateful to be alive! And spread the word!! Save the youth!!
The All-American Rejects are one of those bands that doesn't get worse as time passes, but instead they just continue to get better and more interesting. Personally, I enjoy their older music the most, but I am not disappointed in the slightest by their new releases.
Gabriel Sucre, I'm so happy you're alive today. May God bless you and watch over you in all your struggles. If you don't know God, and for anyone else that doesn't know God, I pray that Jesus work on your heart and lead you closer to Him. In the name of the Heavenly Father, Amen.
2020, and this is still my favorite video by AAR! I love how the video exudes nostalgia! And the neon instruments and air blowing around just amplifies that! 🙌🏼
maggie EVERY ALBUM WAS (IS) AWESOME! Always will be my all American FAVORITE BAND. 35 Now.. Loved them since 24. And they are making the freakin BEST music NOW. what Tyson REALLY wants to make..think its F'n great!!!!
Just saw "Walk Over Me" and "Gives You Hell" on MTV Hits as the Latest and the Greatest videos. It was the first time I saw the new video on TV. It was a thrill to see it on a bigger screen.I hope this leads to seeing it everywhere. This video was made just for the fans, so thank you very much to AAR!
I saw a full concert in Amsterdam and I loved it. It only made me love AAR more than before. I wish Palladia would show one of their old shows they did for MTV World Stage or the one on Soundstage which I only saw once. I can't get enough of these guys!
This song and all AAR songs are my favorites. It is the one I'm listening to at the time. Right now it's this one. When I go to "Walk Over Me" it's that one, etc.
This is one of the great songs from the new record. Not enough people have the record. I'm glad they are still around and one day those people will wake up and buy the best CD out there.
As a musician, I will always revere The All-American Rejects as a fantastic, unique band. They're making honest music; Wheeler's got a unique play style, as well, which adds to the fact that Tyson's voice is irreplaceable.
Tyson has grown musically. He plays both bass and guitar and piano. Alot better now that he has the time between albums to learn anything he wants and we all adore him for being the best in whatever he chooses to play.
Yeah! Mike is a year older. He still looks the same or even better after all his hard work. He is the one that knows what's going on. Tyson had to ask him what show he was doing. It was the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Happy Birthday from a loyal fan.
Whatever, people can have different tastes in bands. I really love AAR and thank them for what they do to make me happy whenever I see them in videos or live in concert. They are awesome!
it's amazing how all the new album videos are just amazing -beekeeper's daughter -walk over me -i for you (AOL sesisons) -this one, AAR its an amazing band!
I agree and I know that this album did not get the push like other artist get. I also believe that the age of their fans right now are older. I stayed a fan since the start.
Crazy Ey3d Luke This was not a single even though it's the name of the album. At least only "Beekeepers Daughter" and this one has over a million views. I really love this CD and what Tyson sings on Parenthood. Just anything by AAR.
Heard "it ends tonight" in a public mall back in 2009, started to listen to their songs, and it has been 8 years and AAR still the best band to my ears. Too bad never got the chance to watch them live in their concert :(
"Say goodbye to I-35"... growing up in the same town as these dudes.. you can't help but to feel this song was made for you.. but in reality it's a song about their own teenage years.. growing up in the same area, you can't help but notice alot of the similar elements
This is one of those bands that transcends its genres by a big margin from song to song. Most of their songs that are not about a b-t-y ex are acoustic rocks instead of the normal fare.
I miss them so much. I remember when they use to be the "Deal", well to me they still are. Once a Fan always a Fan......I do miss being The Kids In The Street.
I find that this album is a lot like Weezers Pinkerton to me. It took me a while to listen to it and when I did it took a few listens for me to like it, but the more and more that i listen to it the more I like it. Great album and it’s nice it still see you guys out here making music.
2012.... 2012??? Holy hell where did my childhood go? I remember waiting to the newest AAR songs with my friends back in the day.. I thought it was only a few years ago..
so this a song about them remembering about the good old days, while I'm watching them sing about the old days to remind me about the old good days haha
I saw Tyson also yesterday on my TV. It was a surprise to see him doing something without the other guys. He did some modeling years ago. It made me happy.
Recently Tyson put a single out. A song "Air" he recorded a year ago. He performed it on Parenthood. There is a video of a duet he did with Mae Whitman called, "I Should Have Taken You Home". Everybody who made a comment loved the song.
TheSurferPenguin Now the song is a part of an EP of songs from the show that Tyson wrote. Go to nbc.com and hopefully is still there. I went to see last week's episode and there it was. So I put it in my favorites and hope to see it over again.
When the video first came out, I looked like the kids. 10 years later, I look more like the band members. Crap, where does the time go? The way the band felt while filming this video must be the same way I feel right now.
i remember listening to swing swing while my besties and i sat on the roof playing until our fourth bandmember thought it would be cool to bring the drums up there. worst teenage idea ever lol
The best part is i have always LOVED every n I mean EVERY song by rejects. But this newest stuff they have out, while supposed to be different, I also LOVE! I guess I am just in love with his voice, their playing, and their meaningful lyrics. Always had meaning in their music. F'n awesome!
Coming back here at memory lane.
I used to play this song during our picnic never knew that it will hit harder after 8 years.

This track is absolutely timeless and indescribably beautiful.
oh..... The All-American Rejects...... how time has passed ..... i'm feel so old now
"Kids In The Street"
In the night, in the beat city light
We steal ourselves away and hold on tight
You were there, yeah, we were all there
Too young, too smart, too much for this one town
We'd get so high, we got lost coming down
When we were kids in the street, kids in the street
When we were kids in the street, just kids in the street
Remember when we
We used to laugh, we used to cry
Live and die by the forty-five
Take me back, I'll go there
Who could stop us, and who would care?
Always keep, to the kids in the street
We were dreams, we were American graffiti scenes
But no war, no peace, no hope, no means, just us
And the songs, with the words we'd sing wrong
And we'd drive until that jealous sun fell down
Just to wash ourselves in the moonlight summer sounds
When we were kids in the street, kids in the street
When we were kids in the street, just kids in the street
Remember when we
We used to laugh, we used to cry
Live and die by the forty-five
Take me back, I'll go there
Who could stop us, and who would care?
Always keep, to the kids in the street
(huh, huh, huh) and we never felt, so alive (so alive)
(Huh, huh, huh) and we'd dance, all, night, under the sky (under the sky)
(Whoa, whoa, whoa) and we'd live (we'd live), we'd breathe (we'd breathe), we'd die (we'd die)
(Whoa, whoa, whoa) when the world, stood, still, for you and I
Just (you and I)
Candles burn, 'cause the world will always turn
I'll burn both ends until my fire's out
Lost in the darkness, I can still scream out (aaah)
We used to laugh, we used to cry
Say goodbye to I-35
Take me back, down a dirty road
Where it went, we didn't care to know
A glory night is a story saved
Mark the chapter, but turn the page
Always keep, to kids in the street
When we were kids in the street
Just kids in the street
(Whoa)
(Whoa-ooh)
Damn, no like for you.
thanks for the lyrics
thanks bro
Please don't tell me I'm the only one ready to spam the views to get the AAR back on the charts

AAR COMEBACK CONSERT 2022. MY ALL TIME FAVORITE BAND..
The All-American Rejects are one of those bands that doesn't get worse as time passes, but instead they just continue to get better and more interesting. Personally, I enjoy their older music the most, but I am not disappointed in the slightest by their new releases.

Kevin Tinsley hahahah That's awesome!! Can never go wrong with TAAR:)
Rita Kim Nope!
Rita Kim Good to see that there's still some people that like good music instead of all of this dubstep crap.
That is for sure!
Now this is real music!!! I love All-American Rejects sooo much!! Seriously, they actually know what music is all about!!!
Love them soooooo much Tyson Ritter 😍
2020, and this is still my favorite video by AAR! I love how the video exudes nostalgia! And the neon instruments and air blowing around just amplifies that! 🙌🏼

This is my favorite band for ten years. Welcome to all their great videos of wonderful songs and live concert footage. Enjoy!
Underrated album was underrated.
I saw a full concert in Amsterdam and I loved it. It only made me love AAR more than before. I wish Palladia would show one of their old shows they did for MTV World Stage or the one on Soundstage which I only saw once. I can't get enough of these guys!
I've been with All-american rejects since I stopped listening to my kid songs and this is different for them but yet it is still them, I love it!!!

No argument here
This is one of the great songs from the new record. Not enough people have the record. I'm glad they are still around and one day those people will wake up and buy the best CD out there.
All good music becomes forgotten Only true fans still listen to good music. now it's just dubstep Techno and pop
Nope.it isn't read the genre for the album
you said it yourself it's rock but barely but I'm going to now go with that this song is alternative
Very true😢 miss AAR so much
As a musician, I will always revere The All-American Rejects as a fantastic, unique band. They're making honest music; Wheeler's got a unique play style, as well, which adds to the fact that Tyson's voice is irreplaceable.
AAR Makes the best music videos.
Tyson has grown musically. He plays both bass and guitar and piano. Alot better now that he has the time between albums to learn anything he wants and we all adore him for being the best in whatever he chooses to play.
Tyson is Jared Leto with Andy Biersack's jawline with a hint of Adam Levine sprinkled with being perfect in every way
i think its enough to say he is just god looking, no need to mix 1000 different people
i cant really see jared :) but being a big 30stm and aar fan id love them to do something together !!
Tianna Leto YES OH MY GOD
He is soo beautiful, when I was a teen I was obsessed with him
This song goes from punk rock to pop rock, all in this one All-American Rejects. How different. : 0
I LOVE this song so much! Why does it have so less views??? People out there are missing something great! I feel sorry for them.
Every time I listen this song brought me back to my childhood.

What a lovely voice Tyson has, I Could listen to him allll day
I love this song.
Yeah! Mike is a year older. He still looks the same or even better after all his hard work. He is the one that knows what's going on. Tyson had to ask him what show he was doing. It was the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Happy Birthday from a loyal fan.
nostalgia...recuerdo su rostro tan hermosa ella en las épocas del colegio
Whatever, people can have different tastes in bands. I really love AAR and thank them for what they do to make me happy whenever I see them in videos or live in concert. They are awesome!

perfection.
The soul in the song is what makes this band so unique. The meaning stressed in the song is just impossible to not notice. THIS IS REAL MUSIC!
that intro is my phone ringtone! LOL
I saw them last week in Zurich! Since then, I only listen to their songs! Amazing band! Especially the last album is amazing!
I love this song so much ♡ more importantly I love this band they have helped me through a lot ♡♡☆
Oh. Youre one of those people.
Sanic Seppur Fuesst So what if she is? Who's to judge?
Me... Sanic judges
This is a fantastic song.
i havent listened to these guys since 2010 when i was 9-10
I also think AAR are the best at whatever they do. Loved them from the start when I saw the video for "Swing Swing" on TRL.
Love this
Interesting, I just stumbled on this while listening to some older AAR songs. I had no idea they were still making great music!
i can hear angels and airwaves performing this song! it would be great to see
Imagine tom delonge singing this song
Yesterday was Nick's birthday, so Happy Belated Birthday to someone really special. I think all the guys are the greatest band alive.
This is one of those bands that transcends its genres by a big margin from song to song. Most of their songs that are not about a b-t-y ex are acoustic rocks instead of the normal fare.
I miss them so much.
I remember when they use to be the "Deal",
well to me they still are.
Its 2017 here but i think this song need to be booming and come to billboard no 1
I try to look at this video and all the other AAR video that are here at least once a day. Love all of them.
so this a song about them remembering about the good old days, while I'm watching them sing about the old days to remind me about the old good days haha
I saw Tyson also yesterday on my TV. It was a surprise to see him doing something without the other guys. He did some modeling years ago. It made me happy.
Man...... Only 12 k likes? It deserves way more.
Emma Cowling 3 years later 19k... Didn't change much... Deserve a lot more.
couldnt agree more
they use the light guitars live too! was really awesome to see
Recently Tyson put a single out. A song "Air" he recorded a year ago. He performed it on Parenthood. There is a video of a duet he did with Mae Whitman called, "I Should Have Taken You Home". Everybody who made a comment loved the song.
could you link the video. I can't find it but really would love to see it. help?
TheSurferPenguin If you google or bing look for either "I Should Of Taken You Home" or Mae Whitman on youtube.
Dee Cee not available outside of US, even for UK citizens which is rediculouse
TheSurferPenguin Now the song is a part of an EP of songs from the show that Tyson wrote. Go to nbc.com and hopefully is still there. I went to see last week's episode and there it was. So I put it in my favorites and hope to see it over again.
Sue Lee nbc is not available in the UK. but thank you still
What a great song! We want more songs AAR!
When the video first came out, I looked like the kids. 10 years later, I look more like the band members. Crap, where does the time go?
The way the band felt while filming this video must be the same way I feel right now.
I saw them in concert like a week before quarantine started for Covid 19. I'm so glad I got to!!! Amazing band!!!
Who's here 2019!
When this song plays on my shuffle playlist, i still thought i accidentally opened my Sims game.
This was amazing last night in Newcastle, really want them to come back!
make more songs :I
If there’s one band that needs to make a comeback, it’s AAR.
*random wind blowing everywhere.*
I love how you have to know the song to remember this song stores theme parks should play this fr
i remember listening to swing swing while my besties and i sat on the roof playing until our fourth bandmember thought it would be cool to bring the drums up there. worst teenage idea ever lol
The best part is i have always LOVED every n I mean EVERY song by rejects. But this newest stuff they have out, while supposed to be different, I also LOVE! I guess I am just in love with his voice, their playing, and their meaningful lyrics. Always had meaning in their music. F'n awesome!
