Paulina is a supreme talent. The story of the rise of these three sisters is inspiring.
Pau is my musical hero! Not only is she a world class drummer, but she composes, writes and sings in most every song the band plays. I first discovered her in 2018 when I saw her cover of another artist’s song. In the video she was 10 years old. I was so impressed that I looked her up, and discovered she had a band with her sisters. Haven’t stopped listening to them since that day. TWA for life!

she has a unique touch, there's a lot of drummers in the world, every pro drummer can play fast, can play wild, but very few can do or just don't do what she does, that's acting, being sexy and badass while playing and singing at the same time

The definitive example of Paulina's crowd interaction: "Get your hands up, New Hampshire! I broke my drum kit for you!" after putting a hole in her bass skin a few songs into the set and playing the rest of the show with her left foot on the left pedal.

The last missing part to complete the holy triumvirate. 😀 Best live band I have seen in decades. Love her, because she is a very musical drummer, can sing lead while drumming, has an amazing stage presence and she hits the drums like they owe her some serious money.

Always amazes me how well spoken and smart she is. I said in a couple IG streams she needed to do a updated rig rundown, so cool seeing everything she uses and how passionate she speaks about her kit. Mexican proverb.. Best singing for sure.... Just in Japan alone there is a lot of great drummers.
Akane Hirose (Band-maid), Haruna (Lovebites), Tamu Murata (Nemophila) and especially her friend Senri Kawaguchi who might be the very best.
Then there is Yoyoka, who at 11 became the youngest to be ranked among the 500 best by DrummerWorld.

Once Pau added that cowbell she elevater herself to being one of the top drummers in rock. This young lady is one of the best singer / drummers in rock. She's dynamic, exciting and a explosive hard hitter drummer. Definitely a rock drummer to watch as she climbs up the ranks of great drummers.

This was shot at the Bottom Lounge in Chicago. My daughter and I attended this show later that night. My wife and I had driven down to Indianapolis to see them on Thursday. The next day, Friday, we drove back to Chicago and decided to stop by Wrigley Field for the Cubs game. During the game, Pau posted on Instagram that they were at the game, thus the T-shirt she is wearing. They were on the other side of the stadium, I kinda wish I had gone looking for them. This show was on Saturday. So glad I got to see them in a couple of small venues.
Smaller venues for me, too. 300, 2000 and 600. But, we may never pass this way again. They may be at the local arena or shed next time.

I was at Bottom Lounge. It was my 25th show. I saw them in Cincinnati, Detroit, and Indianapolis; 4 shows in 5 days.
I was at both Bottom Lounge shows, yr to yr, and had no idea this was shot there! I know Pay hits hard, and though she doesn't care for the name, she'll always be the (drum) shredder to me ;)
That would have been weird as shit, literal stalker behaviour.
One of the most standout drummers of all time really. No showboating nonsense, just power and style. An amazing singer, and the primary writer and composer of the band's songs. There's very few drummers who check all the boxes she does.
The fact that she doesn't have full endorsement offers coming from every drum company is shocking to me.

Pau is a rock and roll legend in the making. The writer and composer of most of The Warning songs. Awesome drummer and awesome singer. She has an infectious enthusiasm and its obvious she has so much passion for the drums. She is so confident. I can honestly say i look up to her.
Pau and her sisters may be small in stature, but they are MONSTERS on stage! The only thing bigger than their sound is their hearts. They are the nicest young ladies you could ever meet and their hard work and immense talent will have then at the top of rock music very soon!
Pau plays drums, piano, has an incredible voice, creates music and lyrics, is very likable, and doesn't get nearly as upset as Ale when Dany wins at Mario Kart.
Pau is a helluv a drummer. She hopefully will be featured in Modern Drummer, and maybe do some clinics when the band has time off. I love the fact that she's named her kit marshmallow. That is so Pau!!! If you know her personality she loves cooking and baking. ⚡⚡⚡🤘🤘🤘

Pau is being modest. She won’t tell you that she is one of the best drummers out there today. She also won’t tell you that she sings lead on several tracks while drumming and harmonies on the rest. Or that she is the main song writer for the band.
It’s said that most female drummers play like they’re petting a puppy. Pau plays like she’s beating the guy who stole her puppy!
Lest I forget, she’s also a classically trained pianist who occasionally plays keys on stage. When she does, magic happens!

In her youth she was an explosive shredder often drawing comparison with Keith Moon. Now, as a mature 21 year old, Paulina Villarreal is a subtle, intelligent musician who is peerless in writing drum patterns & choosing drum tones that highlight a song. The song is paramount. Not showy instrumentation.
Its hard to believe that someone who can be a beast behind her kit, breaking drum sticks & damaging her kick drum, can also break down in front of 8000 fans while pouring out her soul on piano singing those poignantly dark ballads she has composed.
Singer, drummer, composer, songwriter, an explosive frontwoman when released from her kit Pau is a multi-talented multi-tasking musical genius. She could have won literary awards by publishing her metaphorical poetry that deliver contextual insightful messages about today's society. Her lyrics are Dylan-esque in profundity & second only to Roger Waters in darkness.

She's a great fucking drummer. Such a heavy groove. Always in the pocket. Always pushing the beat when necessary. Perfect rock drummer. Speed. Creativity. Balls. Massive stage presence. She has it all. Oh yeah... elite vocalist and composer. Viva La Warning!
As well as being a master drummer, she is (by far) one of the most entertaining percussionists to watch when she performs!
I fell in love with her when she was Playiing Miley Cyrus best of both worlds you could hardly see her over the drum kit.
She is such a great person And a wonderful human being, I love her even more.
And that's not even mentioning the fact that she is the greatest drummer ever born, When she's really tearing the drums up if you've ever noticed on the right side she also hits the The symbols backwards sometimes, She is so flexible.
Haven't heard anything about her hip popping out of joint I guess they fixed that I'm so happy I love you Paulina, Just like you were my own grandchild, I know that sounds mushy but I'm getting old I'm just 71 going on 72 so forgive me❤❤❤

Paulina is not joking when she says that she hits very hard, I have already seen break her drum set like twice.

All 3 of the sisters are so modest and chill in interviews and then they pick up their instruments and it's instant beast mode from all of them. Phenomenally talented family and just great songs.

I’m really surprised at how well spoken Pau is being that English is not her first language. Although, it may be that they were taught both at the same time growing up.
They attended a parochial school in Monterrey which taught many subjects in English, and they also learned some French.

As a musician myself Pau is not only a really drummer but she is a really good singer too. She is such a great and humble musician.
I just realized her name sounds like it came straight out of the Van Helsing movie:) Remember Anna Valerious, Kate Beckinsale? In any case, I absolutely love this young lady. Her stage attitude is infectious, even from behind a trap set.
Solid walk through Paulina's gear, not just the drumkit but the entire set. She's so energetic which you can tell by the way she talks. If you haven't seen her on stage yet, you definitely should. She might be 5 ft tall but Pau is a beast on drums.

Her enthusiasm is infectious - I know nothing about drums but she had me hooked. Wow I didn't know that the cage was literally sawed off to make it fit better for her, they really maximize everything for optimal comfort, and that cotton pad trick, great stuff.
The trifecta of rig rundowns is complete. What a joy to listen to the powerful time keeper and main writer/lyricist of the Warning. Pau, like her sisters, is a master of her instrument at a young age. She also hits those drums like a heavyweight champ. Her discriptions of the rig are more than just surface answers. The computer was my biggest question and it got answered. Thank you for this! The 3 rock n roll hurricanes wow the fans worldwide! Long live rock n roll!!
I know this is a short and sweet gear rundown but I was hoping for a bit more on the laptop and the MIDI interface.
There still seems to be a lot of confusion from the fanbase on what Pau actually controls during a show.
Her masterclass cleared some of it up and went into a bit more detail
I think it would be cool if she did another video from TW Cave going over those aspects in greater detail but in layman’s terms but they seldom have the time anymore because they are constantly working and that’s a good thing for us.
Don’t get me wrong, this was cool and I’m so happy TWA has a current update on how all 3 create their magic during live shows.
The microphone was also missing. That's just as important to her as the drum set.
Majors kudos to Digital Tour Bus for shining a spotlight on all 3 of these amazingly talented ladies from The Warning. Truly shows just how professional and dedicated they are to their craft and music.

Recently I saw a post online asking, "who's the most lively/energetic musician you know of?", and I immediately thought of Paulina. She's one of the most impressive artists out there, and her energy when she performs is unmatched! "Hard hitter" is one hell of an understatement!

I just got my electronic drums yesterday, my first set of drums and I'm 67 years old! Having a great time learning and thank you for the rig run down! You guys sound great! I'm old but I know good music when I hear it! I started playing Guitar when I was 9 (1966).

I think The Warning is one of the best rock bands currently, and one of the things that makes them great is their energy and stage presence, but for me the star of the show is always Paulina, as she states here "she is a hard hitter" and I think that brings so much energy, every time I see them play I notice how much she enjoys playing her music and how talented she is (they all are), I wish nothing but the best for this very talented artists, and make the fortune help them keep rock alive.

You KNOW you're a hard hitter when you actually need to switch to HEAVIER drumsticks. I used Vic Firth 5Bs back in my younger days playing Rush, Zep, etc but eventually went to 5As for speed and comfort. I'm guessing Pau's not breaking as many drumsticks as she used to! 🤘⚡🥁
Seen The Warning several times and they are really good. I love the way Pau plays the Toms. Very unique.

They are all so intelligent and articulate, and seem down to earth. It's not the kind of music I normally listen too, but i like it and I hope they find success, but avoid getting squashed by major label commercialization in the future.
