Ah the third movement has such a distinctive theme for it's fugal buildup. I do think this is one of Bach's masterpieces even amongst the other harpsichord concertos (bwv 1052 and the triple concerto being other outliers).
Can you please re-upload BWV 244? I really like how it's scored for 2 Choirs each accompanied by their own little Orchestra which makes it super complex. The Barenreiter versions of these pieces also have Piano Reduction scores you can upload too cause Piano Reduction scores are easier to read.
Hello Gerubach, I've got some questions for you, where did Bwv 244 go? and would you like to upload a viedeo Bwv 82? Best wishes, Martijn Pieterman (I'm from the Netherlands) (it's a good video)
The St. Matthew's Passion was denied playable status a few days ago by Sony Music Entertainment. When this happens I usually take down an animation in compliance with RUclips’s copyright policy. Then in about a year I repost it. Since Easter is coming up, I am going to make an attempt to upload the St. Matthew's Passion at the beginning of April and see if RUclips's bots have forgotten about it by then. If not, you won't see the Passion until 2016. This is nothing new. So please be patient. It will be posted.
gerubach Thank you very much. I think you do very well with posting those videos. I look forward to the St. Matthew's Passion. I wish you lots of luck with your project!
@@gerubach I'm looking forward to seeing St Matthew's Passion too. Let me know when it's back. It's my favorite group of pieces cause it's scored for 2 Choirs each accompanied by their own little Orchestra. Really Complex & awsome.
@@gerubach This is an arrangment of a Reconstructed concerto for 3 Violins which the Sheet Music is available and I thought, why not do a Scrolling score on the Piano Reduction Scores of all Bach Cantantas, & Concertos (Barenreiter) cause Piano Reduction Scores are so much easier to read due to their compact form.
Harpsichords can have multiple registers which, when coupled, can be all/both plucked by playing on the lower manual, or only the higher(s) being plucked when the upper manual is played. The more registers are plucked the louder the sound is.
I have to stand 10 meters away from my screen, to see this properly. Only two measures at a time? And with the score disposed horizontally instead of vertically? The point being? (But thanks anyway. Something is better than nothing. And this sure is something.)
"Hey, um, so this is going to be a strange request. But we are going to need two additional harpsichords"
"What"
What's great about Bach is that he's so accessible and yet incomprehensible... the kind of genius only visited upon the earth once every 1000 years.
I think there are a lot of works by Bach less known than they deserve. This is one of them, for me this Concerto an absolute masterpiece.

The video has ended and now my screen moves to the right. :O
+Juan Pedro Souza same here!
Love the theme of the first movement
Amazing!
Amazing indeed! Especially the descent into the deepest depths of the 1st Cembelo (middle part) at 13:33! Very amazing!
@@gerubach It's really an arrangement of the Concerto in D Minor for 3 Violins (or 5 String Cellos) and Orchestra.
Marvelous and awesome concerto...
comme tous les autres concertos de Bach !
I think the version for violin, flute, and oboe enables the listener to hear more contrast between the individual voices.
How about for 3 Violins (but the 3 Solo Violin parts are played down an Octave on 5 String Cellos).
They should have a Piano Reduction Score of that because all of those lost & incomplete works are being reconstructed.
hehe 9:00 just that little extra ;)
c est bien vrai !
Thanks for uploading!
There should be a version for 3 Violins with a Piano Reduction Score
Amazing 00:30 to 00:50
Precioso!

Amazing concerto.... However with all due respect you forgot the "h" on Harpsichord in the title. :p
+Konstantin Krystallis Thanks for the heads up! The error has been repaired.
The pleasure is all mine... I would be delighted if you could upload one of my compositions. Please feel free to check my pieces on my channel.

1:15?
the siciliana is way too fast
Too little horizontal space!
I'm confused, why are there notations of "piano" and "forte" for a harpsichord?

Just a quick piece of advice, would it be possible to reduce the time spent on the intro screen, its 0:22 by the time the piece starts.
