  • It's common to believe that movement, loading and bending causes 'wear & tear' of the spine - especially if it's painful. But that belief hugely undermines our body's capacity to adapt. Extremely informative. I have a question here, If bending and twisting and lifting with a rounded back activities are safe for spine I would like to understand what must have caused the pain in the first place? Also, how long should I wait before I start moving in a natural way vs guarded way after an injury. Thank you

Are you not aware of hypermobility syndromes, it’s not seen on diagnostics. They are more common than you can imagine.
You don’t seem to recognize that every day loading etc can very well be damaging. I have hEDS , myself and others with heritable connective tissue disorders with hypermobility, are predisposed to early onset osteoarthritis. There’s plenty of evidence to support people’s complaints of pain.
Try not dismissing people, encourage neuroplasticity etc.
Labral tears don’t show up much on mri, when looked at surgically, they are much larger.

You will remain damaged as long as you continue to perceive yourself as damaged.
