Cheers mate ! Just ordered some brushes now going to have a go at this tomorrow. If you have any of the 10.8 V Makita hoovers. The one we have been using has gone kaput. Don't want to throw it away if it can be fixed !
To anyone wondering, I had the same issue and bent the little lugs inwards with a screwdriver so the bush cmwpuld come out. It worked and the new bush stayed in place.
Hi. Did the same thing today with my dga 452, checked the armature (no short circuits), but after reassembling it doesn't run smooth or constant as new, after a few seconds the speed varies and it come back again but has enough power to cut someting. I noticed a little bit of play on the big bearing. What do you think? What should I do? Thanks in advance.
Everytime the brushes go on any of my tools the longevity of the replacement brushes are significantly less. I think that once the brushes go it damages bearings and surrounding components making it not run smoothly. Sorry I couldn’t be of more help.
@@shadowarmer Ive been attempting this this morning and had a similar problem with both of my grinders. I had sprayed wd40 and left overnight, then using a small screwdriver I tried tightening a shade first, that worked on 2 caps (although one also needed a couple of light taps with a small hammer) the other 2 the slots became deformed by the screwdriver slipping, one I tapped the screwdriver through it before it would turn, the other broke up. I’ve ordered an Ototec cb430 brush and cap set from amazon to replace the broken caps, as I have a decent pair I can use on one grinder. Hope this helps.
I enjoyed watching the Table Vise alot
Thanks just what I needed. My makita works great now & a very easy video to follow.
