The waaay he hug alkaid, and their free way on speaking to each other is cute tbh. But, shino's voice is indeed most awesome.. but the clumsy of atoli's can't be overlook too... man...

It's sad that I remember so little of the Sage Palace. The Demon Palace had the awesome moments of Haseo learning about Skeith and how to sort of control it. The Holy Palace had the great fights with Hiiragi, Bordeaux, and most importantly Sirius. The Sage Palace, though... I mean, Asta and IYOTEN are there? Apparently one of the opponents in the Sage Palace was actually based on a CC2 message board mod. (I know this because I've actually *talked* with the guy, hi Ichi!) And I guess the final fight with Sakaki is cool, but... I dunno. Feels a bit anti-climactic for such a climactic game of the series. It's a weird anomaly.
Got off topic. Point is, the Sage Palace was treated almost like some minor prelude, a footnote. Demon Palace had every fight matter to the plot and characters, each was memorable and any given G.U. player will remember each one and maybe even the exact order. Sage Palace had us fighting Antares, Bordeaux and losing one of our newest, easily one of the coolest characters halfway through and we felt that loss.
Sage was "Welcome to the Sakaki game show! Where we say PKs happen in towns and revealed the existence of Avatars!" but I had completely forgotten about team Hetero since playing, forgot about Matsu and Antares being in the tourney entirely, and I SHOULD remember big plot things like that. I only remember Sakaki and Endrance backstabbing his way to Haseo's heart. And at the end, even the game was like "Uhhh, I guess Haseo won?" No special event at Hy Brasil either!
If I wrote the Sage Palace stuff, and if I had to keep Sakaki in charge, I'd have had the preliminary match be not against players but Doppelgangers of the entire party. "FACE THE DARKNESS WITHIN YOURSELVES, HASEO!" SEE THE UGLY SIDE OF YOURSELF, ATOLI, AND KNOW THE PAIN OF BEING HURT AT YOUR HANDS!" Team Hetero was kind of fine, but if we had met them earlier and knew them as cool peeps or good villains, maybe meet them after they became lost ones and returned, that would have been more memorable, and actually include Gabi. Sage Palace should have been the peak, felt like Demon Palace was the best and the drama with Alkaid was the big thing with Holy.

Got off topic, but point I'd Sage Palace felt like a prelude, a footnote done put of obligation. Demon Palace had a lot of the most important fights in the game for plot and character reasons. We fought Bordeaux, we fought Kuhn, the fight with Matsu wasnt a huge deal but that and Alkaids fights set us up for future character interactions.
Holy Palace was given similar treatment, although a lot of important stuff happened outside of the arena and AIDA quests like Alkaid becoming a lost one, regaining Atolis epitaph and the follow-up was short and good. Both Demon and Holy palaces felt important and gave us goals as players. "Endrance is a jerk with AIDA and the first epitaph user, Haseo wanted to test his mettle against him as a huge stepping stone towards tri-edge." "Sirius was important to Alkaid, had AIDA, and he had Balmung and Orca AIDA clones that added to the mystery of the pursuers." Plus it tied in with the moon tree end quests better since we fought Hisagi and Yatas alt.
Taihaku was the only other person who completed the Forest of Pain, had AIDA, but it felt like it was just the crazy Sakaki show. Taihaku wasn't the boss in that arena, Sakaki was and it wasn't in a "man, Sakaki is a huge deal by side-stepping Taihaku, big bad of the Sage Palace" but rather a "Taihaku was of such little consequence that they needed Sakaki to add more oomph to the arena arc." Like how much cooler would it have been if Taihaku brought it up and asked "what did you get from the Forest of Pain? What did you answer?" THAT would have been the time to ask that, given Taihaku was sort of himself in the arena. It would have been much better if Haseo pondered and said "I was callous in my answer, so I was given a false hope and an insufficient power." Have the Convo afterwards at Icolo be about how they both gained yet lost from the Forest of Pain. Hell, Haseo and Taihaku both lost people to AIDA and endured the Forest event to the very end together, there were several parallels already there but not one was truly explored, and the fights were literally just "hey, it's Asta and Iyoten! Let's beat them up!" and freaking "team Hetero." Such a ridiculous name, but would have been more impactful if we actually met those guys earlier on and knew the depths of their corruption by AIDA.
Sage Palace was meh and I feel like it could have been MUCH more. Fighting Antares and Matsu was neat, but we did that already and it would have actually been really cool to fight Gabi. We could have had the Asta and Iyoten fight where Gabi was their 3rd and see Gabi be like "HEY HASEO! :D" while seeing us pissed at his allies, having him possibly scold them for simply going after weak players who just logged in to have a high PK count vs. testing their mettle. Would have made their optional dialogue with the Cumbia Gomorrah's feel like character growth that was alluded to earlier on vs. "oh, it just took the end of the world for them to reconsider being that degree of douchey."
Hard to enjoy when the sound keeps cutting out. =/

They had to be I tried to use the youtube editor and prayed they wouldn't cut out the voices but it seems they cut off the sound completely which is a bummer for me since I wanted you guys to have a good experience.

ty but after watching the whole vid, the sound keeps falling out wich ruined this game movie.
I uploaded the video without any sound fall off problems. But unless I took out the songs youtube wouldn't make this public so I used youtube to remove the songs but it seems they removed the sound entirely from the specific scenes.

who the heck is taihaku? this dude hasn't been in the previuous 2 games.
Ignorant....Taihaku Was present in vol 1 rebirth....when Haseo entered Icolo Headquarters alongside Antares. Besides...He and Haseo completes forest of pain alone(Hack Roots events)....the only difference is after he met Arald Hoerwick(Aura father)...he received a new gun....Maxwell. in vol 2 epilogue....he and his weapon we're infected by AIDA. Haseo met in Icollo: Sirius the holy emperor, Taihaku the sage emperor and Alkaid the former Demon empress. Antares is the founder of Icolo.
My apologies for being rude....he was in some scenes. Taihaku is a gun steamer.
he also in the anime when haseo went to the forest of pain event.
He's more prevalent in the roots anime
