Another nerve wracking game at the park. I was there for this and I thought we were going to lose this one. Drawn away to Llanelli in the next round and we went out on try count.
Cheers. I'll have to keep hassling BBC. I bet they'd charge a bit. perhaps a rerun of David Parry Jones on a Sunday afternoon! He still hums the theme tune now!
I was there - gutted when Webbes try was disallowed - tremendous score that would have been. Bridge played all the rugby and deserved a result. Don't see crowds like that anymore. DPJ said in commentary 12k were there....the recent Cardiff v Scarlets (just after New Year) was 2k less than that with only one "first class" game competing in Wales. On this weekend in 1984 there would have been at least another 7 or 8 matches going on.......are we falling out of love with the game?
Very true the game has lost its appeal. It was affordable for all to watch then. The players were looked at after through work and a couple of quid. Now it's all got out proportion.

Great seeing these old videos. The Bridgend 2nd row Billy Howe is my father. if you've got any old Bridgend videos I'd love to see them.
i remember him - sadly BBC / itv hold all our memories unless someone turns up with them and shares them

My brother in law is Gary Pearce. I have some Bridgend videos. Did your father play with Gary?

Awful refereeing
Not welcome to Bridgend after that terrible ref
