The 4th annual Top Women Conference, a Top Media event organised in partnership with Standard Bank took place on 14-15 August 2019 at Emperors Palace in Johannesburg.
This is a gathering of business leaders who are passionate about embodying and driving gender empowerment in Africa. Economic development and gender equality go hand-in-hand and studies prove that societies with greater gender equality not only offer better socioeconomic opportunities for women, but also tend to grow faster and more equitably.
Prominent speakers such as Sola David-Borha, Pinky Kekana, Precious Moloi-Motsepe, Mich Atagana, Anne Githuku-Shongwe, Christine Ramon, Dr Achieng Ojwang, Linda Swart, Rosh Bardien, Lindiwe Matlali, Catherine Munjoma, Hon. Ntombi Letheng Mekgwe, Zandile Keebine and Dr Saundarya Rajesh from India were present.
The headline speaker for 2019 was Caster Semenya who participated in an inspirational Fireside chat speaking about her journey as a catalyst for gender empowerment.
