I'm a few years late to this party, but Maker Pipe is still around - I recently built a "cage" around my desk so I could attach lights, sound baffles, reflectors, and other doodads for video recording. (My desk's top is glass and I didn't want to risk the extra weight on it.) The cool things are (1) conduit is relatively inexpensive in 10-foot lengths, (2) the connectors are not only adjustable and reusable but you can replace the screws with 1/4-20 screws which are perfect for attaching standard photo/video accessories, and (3) if my spouse gets tired of the metal monstrosity I can easily disassemble the whole thing.

I saw this item before at my previous place of employment, although it may not be the same company, I enjoyed creating things like shelves, conveyor belt supports & my favorite....an office chair. Since the company relocated I lost the info to find it for home use. Thanks to you & SLC, the brain is rolling in ideas. Have a great day building

I think it's called fastube and looks exactly the same

@@alexmurdoch3052 , probably not fast tube, as fast tubes are tube-shaped concrete forms. There are connectors called Kee Klamps that do essentially the same thing, but they are much more expensive that maker pipe.
