I got into a fight with a girl that always bothers me and her friends are popular so they also fought with me now everyone in my school hates me bc they are popular I only have a few friends that don’t really care about me I feel like everyone hates me and worst part is I can’t talk to my mum about it bc all she does is prevent me from having fun like I’m not even allowed to go to birthday parties (only girls) or my friends house so I’m stuck home all day bored and then she’s like “stop always being in ur phone go do something productive ” well she doesn’t let me do anything and my best friend finds me annoying and is always hanging out with her friends whilst I’m here wishing I could be with them but I’m stuck in my room with nothing but pain and sadness and I hate it I just wish I car would hit me one day and it will all just end.
If I didn't force myself into friendships, I wouldn't have any friends. I try but for me it's usually one sided friendships, where they cancel or say they're too busy. I would make time for them, but I haven't found a person who actually wants me around.
I think if it's one sided it isn't really a true friendship. I know it's not my place to say but something that has helped a lot of people I know is to join a group or a club or activity that you genuinely like. It's always easier to form friendships with like minded people. Also if you're constantly on the edge and trying to be someone's friend it would just not work because you'll end up losing yourself in the way. In my opinion the best way to make friends is to be yourself and enjoy that. Everyone wants to be around someone who is confident and not afraid of being themself! That way only people who actually like you for the person you are will come into your life and trust me, such people do stay for a long time!
I am that girl you describe, I am like you. I always run to help people and try to find a reason behind everyone's behavior but others don't appreciate it. I've been called too nice for my own good, too kind that I end up being a pushover and i just don't get it. How can you say someone's too nice? Just because people are always focused on how they'll get they're way regarding whom they hurt that doesn't mean I have to be like that. I try to be myself ant not let strangers define me but for me it's harder to be real around those I know and care about than strangers. I want everyone to feel liked and appreciated so much that most of the times I end up forgetting and neglecting to appreciate myself. I thought exactly the same thing. I used to joke with my friends about those girls from our school and how they have to take SO many selfies. But now, I'm so happy they like their self. I'm glad they're happy with their appearance. And I have so much honor for Katy for making me realize that.
Everyone hurts me, then they leave me, then they create rumors about me, they make people hate me for no reason, I suffer from depression, anxiety, and other mental Illnesses. People like to hurt me so much. I'm used to being hurt and being left alone. I'm used to not being loved. I'm used to being bullied. I'm used to being lied to. I'm used to crying myself to sleep at night. I'm broken on the inside and out. I hate myself and now people are making me hate myself more they call me whore, hoe, slut, bitch, dirty, prostitute I'm none of those things but it gets to me because I'm already hurt. I also get no love, i just feel like everyone would be happier with me gone. Im a waste of space and resources. My mother gives more love to my step siblings then me. And i swear to go they use her as well. Shes admitted herself shes bought more things in a year for them then my whole life, when im her actual son. And she lets them slide and take the easy life, where im left with doing ALL the chores sweeping, cleaning, setting the table, cooking, etc when im merely the 2nd youngest in the house of 7, at school im bullied, people think i suck , i i literally have no special trait about me, ive thought over hours but im just a someone. My friends just use me for fodder and dont really do anything with me unless it benefits them. So yea, this probably sounds easy to get through, but to me i just like everyone hates me.

I agree :( i used to HATE myself when i was 12. I used imagine myself as another person and cry because i hated who i was. I've grown so much now and i have so much confidence. As a 16 year old now, i wish i could tell my 12 year old self that everything is okay
I love when you do these kinds of videos. I was bullied in middle school. High school was okay. Then my freshman year of college I was bullied by two girls to the point of developing an anxiety disorder that, two years later, I still deal with every day. I feel for you and I feel for anyone who has ever been bullied in any way. I will never understand how someone can be so terrible to someone else. If my experiences have taught me anything it's that your words impact others. And many people don't realize that.
Wow. I thought I was going to cry while watching this. I've dealt with bullying, but mostly I've been feeling so alone. Throughout middle school and high school I was overweight, wore weird clothes, was super quiet and painfully awkward, and I also have high functioning autism. Because of that I didn't have many friends, and now I'm really terrible at making them. Sometimes I have no idea what I'm doing here, like I don't feel like I have a purpose besides going to school. By the way... I've tried to start a Tumblr blog many times and it never worked. I think it's because I didn't have a specific theme to go for. Your not alone. I have depression and it seems like no one understands. But it's not hopeless. You will begin to realize how many people are suffering just like you. I think you should go for starting a RUclips channel. It's so easy to imagine how bad something you want to try could turn out. I have friends, but i feel like they don't really care about me. i can't have deep talks with them, they're not serious enough. i do not have confidence. i don't like the way i look. My family tells me " you're beautiful", but i feel like it's they're duty. My friends haven't told me im beautiful, or pretty in person, only in comments on pictures. when I was little I always had friends I could play with, when I was growing up everyone started to leave me and then my friends just didnt look like they even wanted to play with me anymore, they just left me and didn't include me I only had 1 friend which did want to play with me all the time, my best cousin just started to leave me too, she sometimes wants to go to her other cousins house or her friends house and when granny or grandpa or anyone in our family goes somewhere in the car she wants to go when there would not be enough space in the car and sometimes she is able to go or maybe she can't go and she starts crying... I start to have suicidal thoughts and I really want to get a knife write " I'm a victim" on my arm and wait till I pass but at the same time I don't want to. I always want to cry in my room it just hurts me and I want it to stop. Stop The Bulling. Bulling isnt the right way.

Katy i have a problem: I can't trust anyone. When I try to talk to someone and i don't behave like myself. I try to be perfect for people, because i think i am too stupid for talking to normal people (because i have asperger's syndrome). Nobody talks like me, generally people talk about normal stuff not stuff like "what would you do if..." Or "i wish i could...". I want to trust people, i want to meet people, but i don't trust people. Sometimes i think they are going to call me stupid for being myself and then fake that they like me. I am appalled that there are millions and millions of people on this planet who also experience bullying on a daily basis. The world surprises me sometimes because it's so sad that people can be so cruel with their words and actions. What is with the way people treat each other? Why does bullying still exist today?! It is so sad to think that this is world we have come to. Yet, there are people like you who will help shape and change the way people think and speak. We need more people in this world who are willing to speak up and out for issues like bullying because this is JUST SICK! Treat others the way you would want to be treated! She is friends with these two other girls who bully me and make me angry and I try to ignore it and not let it get to me. Honestly, if your friend knows that they are bullying you, she isn't a very good friend. She should stand up for you. I hear you! You love her, but sometimes if the person you love isn't being beneficial to your life, you should let go. Unless of course she doesn't know about the bullying... If that's the case then you two have to talk. So I advice you to sorround yourself with people who defend you, people who no matter what make you feel confident, safe and most of all HAPPY! Happiness is a big word! After all, what is happiness? I think you will know it when you feel it. When you love yourself. That is when you can recognise all of your good and accept all of your bad aspects. But don't fool yourself! Your life will NEVER be perfect, because there isn't perfection and you will never not have problems ( if that makes sense). But that's amazing, know why? Because it means you are no longer just alive, now you are LIVING. I would say talk to your friend about it, if these girls are just really mean to you with no reason at all ( even if there is a reason, no one should be mean on purpose!) just talk to her and tell her how important this friendship is to you, i would say to just be honest, and if it doesnt work out, it's not the end and you CAN make new friendships. Remember staying true to yourself is more important than this "friend" she doesn't respect you! I went through this exact thing when I was in a bad period in my life and I didn't fight. Oh Katy, I'm really sorry you've experienced those horrid things from other people. I'll admit that when you mentioned the note in your car, I started crying. You know, I follow you on instagram and twitter and I see all your photos where you have so many people around you and you get to go to so many events, and it makes me sad that maybe between those shots you're being treated badly or feeling down. But I guess what helps, from my own experiences, is to just always remind yourself of the things life dealt you that are good. For example, I spent my first year at uni feeling miserable and alone, but I reminded myself that one of the amazing things in my life is my best friend, and the special bond we have that most people don't. Balancing things out like that will help you remember that your life isn't hanging on the line of those negative things. I recently read a quote that said, "People aren't abstract", and neither is life, truthfully. Our lives will always be full of pieces, but you're absolutely right that our reactions to those pieces are up to us. I just hope that your moments feeling sad will keep diminishing and diminishing until they're nothing more than crumbs. I was bullied from 5th grade through high school. Finally in college I discovered who I was. I became more fun and less angry and depressed. I had more confidence and attracted more people into my life. I'm not perfect, but I finally have the confidence to say I am a damn good person. I'm smart, funny, pretty, and nice. Bullying is serious. Just because someone is different doesn't mean you can torment them. If you have nothing nice to say, just don't say anything. Spreading negativity does nothing beneficial to society; it only causes problems.
I'm scared. I make videos here on youtube and my english isn't perfect bc I live in Switzerland. A lot of people found out lately. Some of them came to me and they told me that they think it's amazing but the other (even friends) are making fun of me behind my back. I need advice. Unless I contact my friends to hangout, they never contact me. One friend 'A' even says "We should hang out", but it rarely happens. December last year I decided to try and wait for them to contact me, and its already April now. So, I gave in and contacted friend 'A' to hang out, and she said she will be free in May, but somehow I don't think it will happen. What am I doing wrong? I have to be doing something wrong.

I got into a fight with a girl that always bothers me and her friends are popular so they also fought with me now everyone in my school hates me bc they are popular I only have a few friends that don’t really care about me I feel like everyone hates me and worst part is I can’t talk to my mum about it bc all she does is prevent me from having fun like I’m not even allowed to go to birthday parties (only girls) or my friends house so I’m stuck home all day bored and then she’s like “stop always being in ur phone go do something productive ” well she doesn’t let me do anything and my best friend finds me annoying and is always hanging out with her friends whilst I’m here wishing I could be with them but I’m stuck in my room with nothing but pain and sadness and I hate it I just wish I car would hit me one day and it will all just end.

If I didn't force myself into friendships, I wouldn't have any friends. I try but for me it's usually one sided friendships, where they cancel or say they're too busy. I would make time for them, but I haven't found a person who actually wants me around.
I think if it's one sided it isn't really a true friendship. I know it's not my place to say but something that has helped a lot of people I know is to join a group or a club or activity that you genuinely like. It's always easier to form friendships with like minded people. Also if you're constantly on the edge and trying to be someone's friend it would just not work because you'll end up losing yourself in the way. In my opinion the best way to make friends is to be yourself and enjoy that. Everyone wants to be around someone who is confident and not afraid of being themself! That way only people who actually like you for the person you are will come into your life and trust me, such people do stay for a long time!

I am that girl you describe, I am like you. I always run to help people and try to find a reason behind everyone's behavior but others don't appreciate it. I've been called too nice for my own good, too kind that I end up being a pushover and i just don't get it. How can you say someone's too nice? Just because people are always focused on how they'll get they're way regarding whom they hurt that doesn't mean I have to be like that. I try to be myself ant not let strangers define me but for me it's harder to be real around those I know and care about than strangers. I want everyone to feel liked and appreciated so much that most of the times I end up forgetting and neglecting to appreciate myself.

I thought exactly the same thing. I used to joke with my friends about those girls from our school and how they have to take SO many selfies. But now, I'm so happy they like their self. I'm glad they're happy with their appearance. And I have so much honor for Katy for making me realize that.
Everyone hurts me, then they leave me, then they create rumors about me, they make people hate me for no reason, I suffer from depression, anxiety, and other mental Illnesses. People like to hurt me so much. I'm used to being hurt and being left alone. I'm used to not being loved. I'm used to being bullied. I'm used to being lied to. I'm used to crying myself to sleep at night. I'm broken on the inside and out. I hate myself and now people are making me hate myself more they call me whore, hoe, slut, bitch, dirty, prostitute I'm none of those things but it gets to me because I'm already hurt. I don't know if I can trust people.
I forgot to mention one important thing. Ive been told to kill myself it's not a good feeling. I've ever since that day thought about suicide.

I also get no love, i just feel like everyone would be happier with me gone. Im a waste of space and resources. My mother gives more love to my step siblings then me. And i swear to go they use her as well. Shes admitted herself shes bought more things in a year for them then my whole life, when im her actual son. I love when you do these kinds of videos. I was bullied in middle school. High school was okay. Then my freshman year of college I was bullied by two girls to the point of developing an anxiety disorder that, two years later, I still deal with every day. I feel for you and I feel for anyone who has ever been bullied in any way. I will never understand how someone can be so terrible to someone else. If my experiences have taught me anything it's that your words impact others. And many people don't realize that.

Wow. I thought I was going to cry while watching this. I've dealt with bullying, but mostly I've been feeling so alone. Throughout middle school and high school I was overweight, wore weird clothes, was super quiet and painfully awkward, and I also have high functioning autism. Because of that I didn't have many friends, and now I'm really terrible at making them. Sometimes I have no idea what I'm doing here, like I don't feel like I have a purpose besides going to school. By the way... I've tried to start a Tumblr blog many times and it never worked. I think it's because I didn't have a specific theme to go for. I'm also considering starting a RUclips channel, but I'm just too shy.
Your not alone. I have depression and it seems like no one understands. But it's not hopeless. You will begin to realize how many people are suffering just like you. I think you should go for starting a RUclips channel. It's so easy to imagine how bad something you want to try could turn out. I have friends, but i feel like they don't really care about me. i can't have deep talks with them, they're not serious enough. i do not have confidence. i don't like the way i look. My family tells me " you're beautiful", but i feel like it's they're duty. My friends haven't told me im beautiful, or pretty in person, only in comments on pictures. I fist thought " oh thats not their style" or something, but then i thought " maybe i'm ugly. maybe it's the truth."

when I was little I always had friends I could play with, when I was growing up everyone started to leave me and then my friends just didnt look like they even wanted to play with me anymore, they just left me and didn't include me I only had 1 friend which did want to play with me all the time, my best cousin just started to leave me too, she sometimes wants to go to her other cousins house or her friends house and when granny or grandpa or anyone in our family goes somewhere in the car she wants to go when there would not be enough space in the car and sometimes she is able to go or maybe she can't go and she starts crying... I start to have suicidal thoughts and I really want to get a knife write " I'm a victim" on my arm and wait till I pass but at the same time I don't want to. I always want to cry in my room it just hurts me and I want it to stop. Stop The Bulling. Bulling isnt the right way.

I can't trust anyone. When I try to talk to someone and i don't behave like myself. I try to be perfect for people, because i think i am too stupid for talking to normal people (because i have asperger's syndrome). Nobody talks like me, generally people talk about normal stuff not stuff like "what would you do if..." Or "i wish i could...". I want to trust people, i want to meet people, but i don't trust people. Sometimes i think they are going to call me stupid for being myself and then fake that they like me. The world surprises me sometimes because it's so sad that people can be so cruel with their words and actions. What is with the way people treat each other? Why does bullying still exist today?! It is so sad to think that this is world we have come to. Yet, there are people like you who will help shape and change the way people think and speak. I have a problem. I have a best friend who I love. And I love to hang out with her. But.. She is friends with these two other girls who bully me and make me angry and I try to ignore it and not let it get to me. Honestly, if your friend knows that they are bullying you, she isn't a very good friend. She should stand up for you. I hear you! You love her, but sometimes if the person you love isn't being beneficial to your life, you should let go.

Happiness is a big word! After all, what is happiness? I think you will know it when you feel it. When you love yourself. That is when you can recognise all of your good and accept all of your bad aspects. But don't fool yourself! I would say talk to your friend about it, if these girls are just really mean to you with no reason at all ( even if there is a reason, no one should be mean on purpose!) just talk to her and tell her how important this friendship is to you, i would say to just be honest, and if it doesnt work out, it's not the end and you CAN make new friendships. Remember staying true to yourself is more important than this "friend" she doesn't respect you! I went through this exact thing when I was in a bad period in my life and I didn't fight. Never has a video struck me to my core as much as this one did, and this is one of the FEW that actually brought tears to my eyes. Thank you for this, sometimes its so hard to remember that you are enough and you don't need someone else's approval of your worth. I'm glad that this has made you so much stronger and I hope that anyone who's going through it now knows it will get better - cliche but true.

Oh Katy, I'm really sorry you've experienced those horrid things from other people. I'll admit that when you mentioned the note in your car, I started crying. You know, I follow you on instagram and twitter and I see all your photos where you have so many people around you and you get to go to so many events, and it makes me sad that maybe between those shots you're being treated badly or feeling down. But I guess what helps, from my own experiences, is to just always remind yourself of the things life dealt you that are good. For example, I spent my first year at uni feeling miserable and alone, but I reminded myself that one of the amazing things in my life is my best friend, and the special bond we have that most people don't. Balancing things out like that will help you remember that your life isn't hanging on the line of those negative things. I recently read a quote that said, "People aren't abstract", and neither is life, truthfully. Our lives will always be full of pieces, but you're absolutely right that our reactions to those pieces are up to us. I just hope that your moments feeling sad will keep diminishing and diminishing until they're nothing more than crumbs. And also, if you and I had been fated to live in the same area, I'm positive we would've been good friends. Your soul is deep Katy :) Sending you love.

Katy I'm on spring break right now and the Friday before spring break I got in a fight with my friends and they all started hating me. I haven't talked to them since Friday and it's been nearly 2 weeks. This Monday we go back to school and I'm so scared of what's going to happen. Your words helped me a lot! Thank you. I was bullied from 5th grade through high school. Finally in college I discovered who I was. I became more fun and less angry and depressed. I had more confidence and attracted more people into my life. I'm not perfect, but I finally have the confidence to say I am a damn good person. I'm smart, funny, pretty, and nice. Bullying is serious. Just because someone is different doesn't mean you can torment them. If you have nothing nice to say, just don't say anything. Spreading negativity does nothing beneficial to society; it only causes problems.

I'm scared. I make videos here on youtube and my english isn't perfect bc I live in Switzerland. A lot of people found out lately. Some of them came to me and they told me that they think it's amazing but the other (even friends) are making fun of me behind my back. In summer I'll visit a new school and I'm super glad about that but when I think about, that they will also find out, it makes me very unsecure and I don't know what to do...There were a lot of moments where I was thinking about to stop making videos but should I really just because of all the others?

I need advice. Unless I contact my friends to hangout, they never contact me. One friend 'A' even says "We should hang out", but it rarely happens. December last year I decided to try and wait for them to contact me, and its already April now. So, I gave in and contacted friend 'A' to hang out, and she said she will be free in May, but somehow I don't think it will happen. What am I doing wrong? I have to be doing something wrong.
NightPurple the wrong thing you're doing is hanging out with the wrng people.... like katy said if someone doesn't want to be with you and doesn't vlue your friendship they don't deserve to be your friend. like she said friendship is easy, that shouldn't be complicated. and even if im saying that i'm going through the same situation... but i decide that it's ok to stay alone and try to make something useful of my time by doing what i like. you don't have to be with someone to go take a good coffee or attend an event you like. instead it will helps you meet new people... who knows maybe one day we'll find the right persons to love us the way we really are... until then love yourself girl ! i'm sure you're really nice if you care this much ! but sadly most of people don't think nice is interesting haha we're the same and im sure there are other people out there that are like us and with who we can be friend right ?? :3

This video made me tear up, because I have been through a lot and this video made me realize how strong I am to have gotten through everything that I had to put up with. I am proud to be where I have gotten today. I have dealt with depression, anxiety, bullying, an eating disorder, among many other things. I can completely relate with every word that was said in this video. The sheer fact that you are willing to expose parts of your past that are painful in hopes of helping others proves just how wonderful you are.
