My dad is legally blind, and has been for over 20 years from a medical issue. I was 8 or 9 when he lost his vision. When the sister in this video asked if her brother remembered what she looked like, I actually had to pause the video and cry. In all of the time I've spent with my dad, I always think about this. He hasn't *seen* me since I was a literal child. But I've been in the same house as him every day for the last 20 years, and I wonder if he wonders what I look like.
Love this video. More people need more empathy and understanding of what people with disabilities go through on a day to day basis.

One thought as a parent myself (though I'm not blind) is that no matter what you physically look like you'll be beautiful to him. He sees your beauty through your actions, your words and just truth who you are as a person. I personally care more about who my daughters are in their heart and mind, their physical looks are really not that important to me, though they will always be gorgeous to me. Your father may not be able to physically see you but he still sees you as you are

I’m so glad to see this! Lately, I’ve been wondering how Donnie is doing and what a wonderful video this is. What a worthwhile endeavor for his sister to spend some quality time with her brother. When I was working with him, everywhere we went on public transportation, to stores, etc. people knew him and would say hello. I kept telling him he should be the mayor! Kudos to everyone involved in this, especially Donnie, who has an amazingly positive disposition. I really appreciate you all for this video. Especially the brother and sister for being so vulnerable. I had major knee surgery last month and have to use a wheelchair outside of the house if I’m going shopping or something. I have to keep my leg a certain way so crutches aren’t a reasonable option. Well while going shopping the amount of people who just pretend like I wasn’t there and blocked me or cut me off causing me to stop quickly jerking my whole body causing severe pain to my knee was ridiculous. Only one person apologized. That apology validated my feelings and made me feel seen. I felt so invisible and so horrible. I almost broke down crying in the middle of target cause it was happening so much. We need more recognition on how people with disabilities live. All of my disabilities are invisible so no one notices. But as soon as I had a visible disability I was ignored and treated as less than human. I’m no stranger to ableism and I think a good way to fight it is to make more videos like this. You’re showing us as people, who we are, how we live. You’re humanizing us to people who normally would ignore us or even say/do something to harm us. Thank you Cut. Please make more of these with other disabilities including invisible disabilities.

The number of additional considerations that go into a daily experience for a person who is blind is important to see. Acknowledging how a dial for a stove works similar to a clock, using FaceTime to have someone make sure the food is cooked. The innovations to make life more accessible is extremely important. I hope more people continue to make accessibility a priority for all.

Loved this vid, Blake’s a RockStar!!🤟🏾 That’s the same way I used to feel shooting at a family style portrait studio. I had a lot of loyal customers, but 2 couples in particular that were hearing impaired would only let their kids be shot be me because they dug my energy and I always made them feel welcomed/normal. We all have our differences but that’s no reason to make anyone feel down or weird. Spread Love, Blesss.

Everything about this video gave me renewed hope and joy for life... Also I found myself thinking over and over, Donnie is so handsome and caring to his sister but still very matter of fact in his attitude. He's giving.. my type. I might have to make my way to NY and hope to bump into him literally lmao he seems more enjoyable to talk to then every seeing man i know..

I scratched my cornea a little over a year ago. Extremely painful. I was terrified I was going to lose some vision, and it really made me think and place more value on not only my vision but the beauty I can see because of it.
Also since I really enjoy the outdoors, I will take a few minutes and sit with my eyes closed and just listen to the beauty as well as if I were blind when I’m out hunting, hiking, etc. Like the sounds of ducks flying, the subtle quacks they make while flying, the wind whistling off their wings as they fly past, the splash of the water as they land, or the roar of hundreds of ducks taking off from water is incredible and I don’t need my vision to enjoy that aspect of it.

This was a nice change of pace for a video. I think Cut should do this with other things, that people don't realize others go through. Deaf, mute, mobility challenges etc. It wasn't until I started watching videos like this, on other channels, that I realized the world need to step it up in being better suited for others. For instance, this video only has one language of auto generated captions, there's a few channels where they have multiple languages and also don't rely on auto generation which can be wrong at times.

This was an awesome video. Two amazing people.
My 57 y.o. mom lost her vision out of the blue recently and it's been hard for everyone to cope, because she's such a sweet person, and it's just so random. But she still does pretty good with memory and accessible technology & she gets around fine. People with disabilities are just regular people we need to respect them as such.

This is the one of the most important videos Cut has ever produced, seriously. I enjoy the content in general -- it's funny, shocking, entertaining.. we understand the kind of content Cut usually produces, but also what the viewers typically expect as well. But this? This is video filled with compassion, understanding, love, and humanity. A perspective, however brief, of what people live with every day. The end of this video was really touching.. because while I may not have any blind people in my family, I could put myself in Dom's shoes in that moment about how unfair it is that she just gets to go back to her normal life. This video may not get the number of views some of the other normal content gets, but I think is this in the top 3 best videos Cut has done this entire year and is one of my favorites in its history. You should be proud of this video. Well done, Cut.

I watch 95% of Cut's videos but for some reason, this video was never recommended to me on my homepage. I only found it when I specifically went to Cut's channel to find videos I've never seen. I'm annoyed the algorithm isn't helping this video get the views it deserves...
I hope you guys bring Donnie back. This was a really really sweet video. Much love to them both.
