Oil paint is usually pigment suspended in Linseed oil, it can also be other oils like safflower or walnut, so not petroleum and probably won’t harm a gel plate.
I just don't see the need to use oil paints when acrylics are available, safe and easy to use. . I would rather not use oil based paints on my plates.

P your cards are wonderful. Big chuckle on your angel people. I would have had some suggestions for assembly if I had been in the live. LOL Speaking of taking things apart. We had a dishwasher back in the 70s that we had to clean out some nozzle every once in awhile. To do so, you had to turn off our main water supply. I wouldn't nag, I'd mention it once or twice and then I'd just go ahead and take it apart, clean out the nozzle and then wait for hubby to come home. I knew fully well, while taking it apart, that I could not remember how to reassemble it. He'd get home from work and couldn't turn on the water to shower until he finished putting it back together. Worked every time. That's my story of the day. 🙂
