Thanks for sharing your video. I have been rebuilding old Tenshodos Diesel Units as of late. One tool that I also use here are 3d printers (resin and FDM). I print custom detail parts that would not be available. I have been able to fabricate motor mounts to mount those Mabuchi 18mm square motors, so they have a factory like install. I make my own gears, so I can fine tune the final speed and torque of the locomotive. And since I am doing this project over a fleet of locomotives, I can scale up a mini production run of common parts .
Thank you for this video. Very inspiring and informative. I've been working on locomotives for years. I started on cheap models and have been working on brass for a while and am trying my best to do good clean work but it's not always easy 😆.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I'm just starting to work with these brass loco's and this was very helpful. Looking forward to your other video's
