Exactly. I dont understand what was so special about this slime that the shop owner would make it so overpriced. It's almost like a scam. I would never waste my money on a 2 ounce slime for 9$, unless it came with a couple candy extras, something like a squishy, and a charm.

Those slimes were WAAAAAY too overpriced! Like the ones with nothing going on we're $18! Even the 2 OUNCE slime was $9 and all it was was a blue slime with glitter and a scent. You could easily make that yourself and not pay $9. But some of the slimes were worth it. I just with they would lower the price!! 😀 Ps. I love you Gillian!

the slime was definitely NOT worth the price. all of the slimes were average slimes that you could have easily made yourself. $9 for a 2 ounce if sooooo overpriced, that’s $4.50 for 1 ounce of slime! don’t get me wrong, the slimes looked great but i’m not about to pay $9 for a basic 2 ounce slime.
I also didnt like how she mentioned the two toned slime mixed but said it was ok (probabaly Because of the price) however I other reviews for smaller slime shops she would be very honest and rude somerimes when a two toned slime came completely mixed.

@@marlee5748 You're right, but dont you think it's still pretty expensive? There are other slime shops with the same quality as Slime New York, but with a much cheaper pricepoint.
You should do a video where you order some slime from a slime shop undercover then order the same slimes from the same slime shop as your normal self and compare them. You know, to see if they give you better slimes because you are famous for slime reviews than someone who is not famous. Just a suggestion I love your channel so much!!

That was insane!!! The tiffiny slime was 9 dollars for 2 ounces!!!! That translates to 36 dollars for a eight ounce clear slime with I sprinkle of glitter I wanna sue!!!!!!

It seems like a lot from a consumers point of view, but it really isn't that bad of a price for a homemade slime.

Compared to some other shops that you have reviewed, this one seems pretty overpriced. I mean most of the time it didn’t even have extras with it, unlike some cheaper alternatives...

I think they reason they price their slimes so high and get away with it is because they're capitalizing on having "New York" in their name. People may associate that with other high end brands and think that that justifies the price. In my opinion, all these slimes looked average at best. Nice, but nothing I haven't seen from other slime shops for almost half the price (and I often see BETTER, more unique slimes that are more cheap). $9 for 2 oz. is absolutely absurd for a basic clear-base glitter slime. And again they capitalized on a high-brand theme, Tiffany & Co., to justify that exorbitant price point.
Kay I don’t think that’s the case. A lot of people have Tiffany slimes and it’s just a name. I, and a lot of other people, don’t really care about the name of the shop, but the quality. I do agree that it is soooo expensive

I agree that is why I prefer to make mine homemade because it is free! All you gotta do is buy the simple ingredients for not that much instead of buying slime for like 200 something dollars

A lot of people buy two toned slimes that are really expensive for example pink & blue = purple when you mix it up it could cost $14 and then you could buy the exact slime which would be purple and it would cost $9.

Hey Gillian! My friend and I were making slime, then we decided to mix a butter slime (diso clay) and fluffy slime. After we added our contact solution, activator, yah-ta yah-ta. We came across this REALLY REALLY cool texture, it was like a buttery slimey cloud doughy texture (LOL) Its was honestly a awesome soft texture. I really think you should try making the slime, THANGS YO NEED: clear glue (lol), con tax solution AND BAKING SODA, shaving cream, diso clay and thats really it i think :P I would be really happy if you made this slime in a video!! :D

If you add up the cost of borax, glue, containers, scents, add-ins, and food coloring, PLUS labor and profit, (even if they sell slime for profit) you’ll figure out that selling/buying slime is very VERY expensive. That’s why I make my own at home! It’s custom, cheaper, and I can determine which ingredients I want to include or not include in my slime depending on my budget or just my liking. You also never know if you like the slime until it arrives, or how it smells, or if you’re being scammed. Making my own slime is just more simpler. I’d love to buy a slime from a slime shop one day, but I’m too broke for a 18$ 8 oz of slime. A gallon is 14$ here where I live. (USD.)

The market price for a similar slime is much lower, there's nothing in this one that is more expensive, it's just glitter slime. Plus adding shipping to the final price of one slime... that's just wrong. Overpriced crap isn't worth defending. Shop elsewhere and I promise you you'll get the same quality for less than half of that.

But if you do, just remember: you chose to spend that amount on what was advertised, there's no one to blame but yourself for buying an "overpriced" item. But as a seller myself, I know firsthand the costs of products so I know 9$ isn't a lot. This is just how the world works. Stop complaining about it

I think most of the slimes were overpriced but $10 is waaayyyyy underpriced considering some slimes had insta insta snow and other expensive ingredients and there was diffrent sizes. It would be very hard to make money if all or most of the slimes were $10.

Ok so think that these slimes are WAY to expensive and I think if they are that expensive that they need to include a good charm and a great scent but as you said I didn’t and the slimes should be exactly how they said it would be...but yeah this show was way to expensive and again if it is that expensive then it needs to be great, big, pretty, and just over all great and I think these weren’t sadly... slime is getting very expensive these day and i can't believe that that amount of slime cost over $200 that is how you know you can make a living out of building a slime shop because people expect how much one slime will cost.But i love your videos Gillian! Also with that amount of money you can make waaaayyy more slime then you get from a slime shop. But alot of slime shops are really good.

It's just, from other shops I've seen the same price but If i bought that slime and it didnt have a label i would think, 'huh? Is that the cereal milk slime? It looks like milk, but the beads look like circle beads not anything like cereal/froot loops'

I think for another slime review you should use a different address and different name because since your famous they might give you extra extras and make your slime better I also think that you should order one from the same shop with your name to see if they give you the same stuff or they give you extras because they know that it is going to you
