Sharing techniques to customize current action figures by painting or sculpting what is needed. Producing a figure the is either improved or just creating one from parts of other figures.
3 FAILED ATTEMPTS.... Had to start fresh on each cape... everything from measuring to cutting to sewing it correctly
Used distressed pleather ... it will not stretch... its heavy and will need a stronger wire..
sewing the splined on the outside was a mistake
sewing in the inner liner was a mistake
cutting each panel individually was a mistake.

Very nice video! It’s very interesting to see how hard it is to make this kind of cape. I saw a couple of these on eBay and always thought they look really nice. Might get one eventually.

I will now use 4 way stretch pleather.

4 way stretch vinyl in matte black, 8 panels forming a complete circle with the same material as the liner on the front 2 panels only for an actual movie style cape but a 3/4 circle works better for action figures with no wire, sewing in the wires where the panels should be you can cut one piece and it gives the illusion of panels!
Thicker material looks ridiculous on figures under 12 inches tall hense why people hated the figuarts 89 Batman so much and why 4 way stretch vinyl is the absolute best option because of how thin it is, especially if you add wires!

How did you loosen the scallops?

The scallops are loose…. Just heat and gently pry up…. But youll need to cut the square peg at the neck
