Now that spring has arrived, could you consider doing a tour of your entire property? You got 150+ acres, but we've only gotten to see a small part of it. And yes, I get that it's mostly forest, but forests are interesting too! :)
Dude, I'm a retired nurse on the high side of 66. I know how concerned you must be about your wife. I really hope it avoids her clinic. Stay safe. Good luck. We're all going to need it.
You and your wife stay safe and extra prayers for your brave wife for working with people who are infected and sick. Take care looking forward to seeing your next video.
Thank Allison for all her hard work! Must be long, stressful hours. Scott Adams said we should look at medical personnel like we look at our military right now: Making sacrifices to protect us.
We actually should look at medical personnel right up there. They even take care of the military. So they do a very important part in our lives that we somehow forget to acknowledge.
I’m sending prayers to you both. Alison being on the front lines is so scary but important I can’t thank you enough for all the lives you’ve touched and comforted. Be Safe
i cant express how happy it made me to see this video in my feed, ive had a really bummer morning, i overslept my alarm, my milk had gone off and because of corona i lost the money for a ticket for a boat trip, some happy farm life is exatly what i need for cheering up
Funny, I as I watched the beginning of your video, I kept thinking "too many folks sitting too close together!" , "social distancing"! Alarm bells were ringing hard. You are so right that the world has turned on it's head. Thanks for your efforts and Allison's efforts to keep your community safe. Be well and hope you all stay healthy.
Prayers for Alison's continued protection and safety for you all, especially your dad and any other older relatives. I am 60, my mother in law is in her later 70's... 2 hours drive away, living on her own in a rural area. luckily, she has a wonderful bunch of neighbours, friends, and church family who keep her protected.
Thanks for the well wishes and for the opportunity to share in your farm. My best wishes to your family and a shout out to your partner and a big thank you for her service in this difficult time.
Thank you Allison for your service in these times, and to every single person out there on the front lines right now...bless you. To those out there with elderly family, give them a call and make sure they're doing okay, and not needing anything. It's scary for them as they see all this overtaking the tv news. And don't forget to tell them you love them. Gold Shaw Farms...thanks for the positive energy shared . We all appreciate it. ❤️❤️❤️🇨🇦☕️☕️
Thank you for making these videos. They have brought my husband and myself so much joy during this crazy time. Your ducks are delightful. And we love your spirit, whether it is dealing with stories of raining heifers, duck egg allergies, or loss of beloved hens. We are considering following your lead and moving from Houston, Texas to Michigan next year (depending how the housing market in Houston is impacted.) Best Wishes from Houston!
Travel to my home country has opened again and I’m now here and will be able seeing my 9 m/o niece for the first time since last Dec. the flight here and transiting through London Heathrow was a scary experience and I can’t think how your wife does what she does on a daily basis! Thank you for your service, Allison and all other primary care providers! It is insanely reassuring that you are taking care of those who need it in such scary times, putting yourselves at risk to help keep the spread contained, so those who are most vulnerable are safer!
Allison, and others working on the front lines with infected patients...you all are in my prayers. Morgan, thank you for sharing like this. Your sweeping away that CDC prompt perfectly illustrated how most of us feel right now! I am so there with you. I had to reduce watching my favorite RUclips channels because EVERYBODY was talking about it and there was so much it was overwhelming. Soul care required backing off quite a bit and being very selective. Here's to making it through together! BTW...that is the coolest evaporator! Loved the mission statement his son gave about getting paper to the boiler...LOL
I love it when you release them...still makes my day every time! Thank you for the video. My family plans to start farmsteading once I can talk my husband into retiring out of the US Army. This year has definitely proven why my desire to have a farmstead is relevant for today. We live in Northern Italy. I am sooo ready to be home.
Smart choice not to take the chance of passing on the virus, will keep Allison in my prays for her safety and good health. Look forward to your next video.
Beautiful, peaceful video. I really love watching your content it brings me so much joy. Stay safe, and my thoughts are with Alison as she helps people who need her skills, love and patience. 💚
You man are the man, always a delight to hear your "Let the quackers out!" and see all that goes on down on Goldshaw farm, hang on in there, and thumbs up to Allison, brings tears to the eyes that people like her are on the front line, and of course paws out to Toby and the barn cats, and the non pet birds. :-)
The boil party i was looking forward to attending this past weekend was canceled due to the pandemic. I was glad to live vicariously through this video. Thanks!
Just love when you post a video!! Great editing with shoving that covid notice!! Love it!!! It's people like you that make great videos and staying home not so terrible. I hope you both stay safe and take care!!
I just wanna be in that tent and take in the glorious aroma that must be wafting up . Closing my eyes and dreaming of pancakes, back bacon, eggs and Hash browns. Keep up the awesome tradition!! Stay healthy and happy.
So glad you folks think it's really spring. Lol we are having a Nor'Easter today in my part of Vermont. We might get up to 20 inches! Its March in Vermont! Our own version of March Madness!
I'm definitely going sap crazy! I hope to have an evaporator for next year :-) Thank you for making this video -- I am feeling a lot of the same feelings as you. It feels weird that no one was around boiling sap with us last week -- things have changed so much so quickly!! I'm lucky to have sap boiling & garden planning to take my mind off of it. I hope you all stay safe and healthy!!
Thanks for the video...I'll bet your friend gets a lot of syrup with that rig. Thank you Allison for your work with the folks that get this virus....and thanks to all who work with you. Y'all stay safe. Have a Blessed day.
Wish we had maple trees, my kids would love homemade maple syrup. Much respect to Allison and yourself. Stay safe and well and hopefully normality will return soon. We are also self isolating as my parents live with us and are at risk. Only one of us is leaving when necessary to get supplies. A crazy time for us all but thankfully I have my family and my birds.
Ohio here...I'll never forget Maple Season 2020 because right after Maple Tour Opening Weekend here EVERYTHING shutdown due to covid!!!! TOTALLY SUCKED. Hats off to your wife during these times, man. Ps...really enjoy the maple vids and Alfred's evaporator is wicked awesome. Cheers
Love to watch the Maple Syrup process. I Love Spring. Not quite here in WV yet but coming. Some days are good others are still in low 30's. If everyone was as considerate and stay home the Virus would be controlled better. But that would be in a perfect situation which we don't live in unfortunately. Prayers for your Wife of Safety. Peace Be With You Both ☮️
It's funny how We all love watching these at here at 2:am, here in Az and relaxing it is thanks for video. My younger bro is a communications spec and right now there out expanding network capabilities for exactly what your doing .You and yours take care just lo e release the quakin.
We HERE also have been setting AROUND watching the Animals and the day flys by ACTUALLY,!! LIFE is only what we make of the path we choose to TRAVEL,!! Breath in the air of tthe MOMENT you were BLESSED WITH,!! GOD BLESS YOU and your family THANKS for the SHOW'S
Yeah, I figured catching up on the backlog, we were gonna get to the Wham Moment of March sometime. Hope Allison and the rest of you guys are able to stay safe, man.
I totally get your idea of the world changing in just a week. It's crazy and, I have to admit, scary. I'm over 60 and a diabetic. I'm having to think things through at least a couple of times before I head out anywhere. And thinking makes my brain hurt! I do envy all your open space, quiet and solitude. Stay healthy.
You should do what we do in Canada and put Popsicle sticks in molds in the snow then poor maple syrup in them to make them like maple syrup popsicles. You live close to Canada and especially you live close to Montreal so you should know this trick and probably you or some one you know has bin to a Festival De Voyageur some where in Canada
I'm watching this in Feb 2022. It's crazy that this has gone on so long. I hope you and yours have gotten back to some semblance of normalcy. (I'm watching your vids in order so I haven't gotten to current content)
Now that some of the puppy cuteness is beginning to wear off, it becomes more and more obvious that Toby is becoming a very handsome dog. At 0:30 you can see what a stately dog he is becoming! I am jealous, I also want a dog!
Thank you for your videos, they are a bright spot in this dark time. Happy Easter to you and yours. Praying for your family’s health and safety. God BlessAllison for her hard work and sacrifice. We will get through this. This too, shall pass.
Love the channel! My husband is 70 and i'm 60, you could be our son. I know what it is like to not be able to be with family. My child is in TX and we can't see each other due to covid. Normally she would fly home but not anymore.
Looks like a lot of fun, sadly I can't make maple syrup as I live in a town in the UK but it looks like something I'd love to try one day. Also you're probably quite lucky in a sense as it looks like homes are quite spread apart there so the human malware (what I joke call it) won't spread as quickly also you have all the animals and someone to keep you company. Good luck and stay safe.
It is an amazing thing. After the currently nastiness is over, plan a visit to Vermont. My dad always said that it's a good bet to plan on be boiling by St. Patrick's day.
I'm in the design phase of building my evaporator... Your wizard buddy has really peaked my interest. I am curious if I could see where the 2ndary air enters his system, and the diameter pipes/# of tubes that feed it. Also, I love the temporary shelter.
Now there's some real kids. Boys with power drills and axes, love it, real men in training. Your buddy Alfred is a good neighbor to have, smart fella. You mentioned Allison, is working at a clinic? I wish I had absconded with a few dozen surgical gloves and masks before I left my practice. It would have made life a bit easier double gloving, hint. Stay healthy. Adios.
Due to health concerns I have given up white, processed sugar. I used to buy agave, which I love, but my daughter informed me that pollinators where the agave is grown are starving to death because the flowers are being taken before the animals can get to them. So I decided that I would stop buying agave forever, because I don't want to contribute to extinction. I looked around, and saw the maple syrup. Sure, it's more expensive, but it's awesome in coffee and recipes. Since it hurts no one, I have been supporting farms from Vermont. I didn't know you made syrup, so maybe post a link and I can just support you and your friends!

Yeah that sounds great
That is a great idea check out mine
Gold Shaw Farm you should invest in a drone
@@Lobcastcoke I think he needs a green screen.
Dude, I'm a retired nurse on the high side of 66. I know how concerned you must be about your wife. I really hope it avoids her clinic. Stay safe. Good luck. We're all going to need it.
Praying for Allison’s safety. Thank her for her service.
Eric Klein yes, thank you Allison . ❤️❤️❤️❤️🇨🇦
Thank Allison and her co-workers for their tireless work! And thank you for the distraction from Covid. We are all in this together!

Bless you, your wife and your entire family!! Also, that was indeed a BA evaporator!! Can't wait for more videos of it in action!

Morgan, Thanks for the video. It's a welcome distraction. Stay safe and well. Cudos to Alison for her work. Regards Stephen.
I hope your wife stays safe and healthy. You are smart for keeping to yourself. It is needed to help stop the spread.
I wish I could join you for syrup boiling. The smell, the taste, oh my! Keep you well and safe.
Be safe Morgan, & prayers of thanks to Allison.

I bet that smells amazing. That steam coming off of it, Alison smiling. Good times.
How noble of you to take the precautions.

Will you get more puddle ducks?I love them!
I know I need your day to day struggles and positives - keeps me sane mate! HUGS and sty safe please!!
Watching again from the future of February 2023.

We usually pour it on pans of fresh snow and call it Sugar on Snow. Holy cow is it good! I like the popsicle stick idea.
Thank you to Allison for being a real fucking hero
Good morning. Your friend has a sweet set up.
Stay safe and be well. 🇨🇦✌🏼️

Ahhh I miss the days of making maple syrup. When I was a kid many years ago, we would boil the sap down in a cauldron in the middle of our field.
Thanks for the many videos, I love them.
Yep the country just been sort of locked down about 3 hours ago but I am one of those essential service that has to carry on
Great video.
I boil sap by myself. The wife will come out to see me every so often.
Thanks for the video
Wishing you health and prosperity. I always enjoy your videos.
Glad you had at least 1 day of fun.

Love watching these !!! Your Part time quasi neighbor on Mack Mountain Road !!!
Mmm. Reminds me of the family farm in Upstate NY and my great grandfather Ike making Maple cream and maple sugar.

Hi....... Gold Shaw Farm, thank you for sharing your video homestead chicken farmer garden 👋 bye 👋 bye 👋 bye 👋 👕🐔🐓🐥🐩🐈🌱🎥👍👍👍
Would like to see your finished maple syrup. In the meantime stay safe. 🙂
I’m confused who would dislike this video 🤔 anyways, Happy Monday from Michigan!
Adios.
Great video. Stay safe. 👍
Bless the front line. Selfless acts and caring soles. Strive on America strive on.
Stay safe my dude
Stayin' Alive, same here.
Have you ever thought of having a bee hive? it will be quite interesting

It looks like your snow has melted. How much water is in your duck pond? When will you be ordering this seasons baby ducks and geese? Take care.
Very cool. Interesting process.
Stay safe every one
Stay healthy amigo!
Thanks for degrees in Celsius!
Matt Kaňuch And centimeters and liters. To hell with inches and gallons.
Yes ! I may use Celsius , but I learned in imperial. And despite having my country 🇨🇦 switch to metric in the 70's ish, I still measure in gallons and inches.
the Katt Something that might appease your pain, is that the “inventors” of the imperial are now counting in celcius, meters, liters and say “tens” instead of “dozens” ! Thanks.....
Nice video! Where did he get the door? I've looked all over after seeing this video.
