And I still remember drawing alot from how to draw comics the Marvel way and now I'm studying the correspondence courses from the Kubert school! If you want to become a fantastic artist go to the Kubert school!
This was 35 minutes of pure joy. To see that after 50 years in the business he still so passionate about his art was incredible. Kudos to his wife for helping to realize his dream of a school for young artists.

I loved Kubert's "Enemy Ace" series when I was a kid. His depiction of WW1 aircraft made me really sense the wood, wire and fabric nature of the airframes and sparked a life-long interest in the planes and those who flew them.
Amazing interview! Joe Kubert is undoubtedly one of the giants of the industry, as well as one of the most important and influential comic book artists of all time! Kubert's tenures on Sgt. Rock, Hawkman, and Tarzan are incredible! It's also an absolute delight to have his sons, Adam and Andy, both continue to thrive in the medium as artists in their own right while honoring their father's legacy! May he continue to rest in peace...he is still missed!

if youre already working and know exactly what you are going to do for a living you shouldnt even waste your time with school. school should be helping kids learn what theyre good at and what they like anyways. instead of teaching kids crap theyll never need. if you know how to read and write and do basic math and have good communication skills (which they dont teach you) you can learn anything that you need to learn to do whatever you need or want to do as long as you are capable of performing the task. if you force kids to learn useless stuff their whole childhood all youre doing is facilitating stupidity because the words "learn" and "education" has a negative stigma associated with them.
