Hi Henry! Thank you for watching, I so have the Arthur Adams Johnny Future that’s part of an artist edition. That’s included with some of the other Americas Best Comics artist edition. I’ll make a video of that as well! Love Arthur Adams work!
Thank you for watching my video. I had no idea about him coloring it as well. That’s nice. Thanks again for watching and please subscribe to jt channel for more of these videos.
Dang, I missed this livestream. Great video, Walden! To be honest, I wasn't a fan of Joe Kubert's work when I was a kid. It wasn't until I was an adult that I recognized how great his work is. He sounds like he was a real gentleman. That was such a great compliment you got from one of the industry's legends. A while ago, Joe released a book and the first 100 copies got a personalized sketch from Joe...he would draw a character that he was famous for like Sgt Rock, Tarzan, or Hawkman, personalize it to you, sign it, and number it out of 100. Wish I got in on that as it was probably my only chance to get a piece from Joe at a reasonable price. Anyways, thanks for posting, my friend! RIP, Joe.
Hi Rometiklan. No worries. I’ll have more love streams in the future. I know EXACTLY what you are taking about. When Joe Kubert first released one of his original graphic novels, Fax from Sarajevo, he had a bunch on had at the same convention where I meet him where he gave me that amazing compliment. He was drawing a free sketch for everyone who bought one of his books and there was a long line. When I got up there, I also bought a book. But just asked him to sign it. He asked if I wanted a sketch and I said that’s okay. But if you have time, I would love for you to take a look at my portfolio and he kindly did. Thinking now, I could have gotten an original sketch from Joe Kubert, but if I did, I would have missed out on that amazing compliment he gave me. I didn’t want to be too greedy by getting a free sketch AND his time to look at my portfolio. And back when I was really focused on showing my portfolio, I had to stop collecting autographs and sketches. Hummm… I think that would make a good podcast subject.
@@WaldenWongArt That's a great story! I'm glad you got a chance to meet such a legend AND have him compliment your work! Must have been a great sign you had a great future in the comic industry when someone like Joe speaks so highly of your work.
@@Rometiklan thank you, Rometiklan. It was at first scary, and then Joe Kubert explained himself why he said that, and it was an awesome compliment. This was before I was working in comics and I was showing my portfolio around. A few years later, I meet up with him again, reminded him what he said to me and that I’m now working in comics, and thanked hom again.

@@sparkspark2314absolutely. Thanks again for watching and I’ll have more artist edition videos soon! Just recently for the Walter Simonson Fantastic Four artist edition in the mail and I can’t wait to crack that open on camera.
@@WaldenWongArt I really like this one but it’s pretty pricey. Is this the 2nd Tarzan one. Did I read that right? If so, is the first one still available too? I’ve missed on most of the ones I’ve wanted…John Paul Leon…Buscema’s Silver Surfer…the Kubert ones. I’ve just not been cash rich when they came available…and when I had some now they were either not available or double to triple the price. Ahhh what can you do huh? Thanks again.
@@sparkspark2314 there’s a few Joe Kubert Artist Edition. Aside from the one I have in the video, there’s also this one, amzn.to/3sIDrat which I wasn’t able to get. And your absolutely right he about these artist edition being pricy. Some sells out quick and the longer you wait around to get it later, the higher the price would be. I’ve noticed that some of these artist edition would get a second printing much later in the future. I’m fact, I did a video on a Frank Miller Artist edition a while back and didn’t realized it was just a reprint of an earlier “Frank Miller ARTIFACT edition” which I didn’t have. After posting my video, viewers mentioend it’s the exact same book released but with the difference of the title Artifact and Artisan. And looking at some future releases. I do see some mails out editions being available for future re-release. So there’s still a chance to get some at lower prices. These artist editions are sometimes hit or miss. Sole that sells out, foes for a lot of money now. Such as the Michal Golden Micronauts artist edition which I waited too long and sold out. Then there are other artist editions that you think would be worth a lot, then goes on clearance. You never know to pull trigger on release date. Or wait it out.
Thanks Walden , Great Book , looking forward to the Arthur Adams Book as well .

I believe Joe did color his Tarzan run. Even after the issues he fully drew and inked, he did layouts for the artists that followed him on the book.
