The Good Dinosaur is a 2015 American animated adventure film[ produced by Pixar Animation Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. an alternate history, the asteroid that would have caused the extinction of the dinosaurs 65 million years ago passes safely over Earth.
Millions of years later, Apatosaurus corn farmers Henry and Ida have three children: Libby, Buck, and Arlo. While his successful siblings are allowed to "make their mark" (a mud-print on the family's corn silo), Arlo's timid nature makes tasks difficult for him. Henry attempts to give Arlo a sense of purpose by putting him in charge of guarding their silo, and helps him set a trap. It captures a feral caveboy, but Arlo cannot bring himself to kill him, and sets him free. Disappointed and a little mad, Henry takes Arlo to track the caveboy into a ravine. Henry then saves Arlo from a flash flood before being killed by debris.
Without his father, Arlo shoulders more of the workload.

This might be an unpopular opinion, but I actually love this movie. I know it’s not perfect and and it’s simple compared to other Pixar movies, but I still think it’s a cute and good movie, and it’s one of my favorite Pixar movies.

I'd say Cars 2 destroyed Pixar's reputation, The Good Dinosaur was just a continuation of the decline in quality for the studio

The worst crime of this movie is all the squandered potential.
I love films like Planet of the Apes or The Secret of NIMH where animals are given human intelligence and create their own societies and more codes. Seeing another lifeform falling into the same trapping as we humans can be humbling. A story like that but with dinosaurs could have been fascinating but unfortunately, it didn't seem like the writers were very interested in doing that. I think the film would have been more interesting if it had been written like a Western, focusing on a group of Dinosaur pilgrims establishing a new colony in a new area.

I like dinosaur movies, and when I heard that Pixar was going to make a dinosaur movie I was excited, but I didn't then like the movie at all.

Many have said that they don't like the Good Dinosaur movie because it's dinosaurs aren't realistic and its style is too cartoonish and childish. But in terms of plot and theme, the movie is ok, although it tries too hard to imitate the Land Before of Time movies.
I didn’t think this movie was bad. I thought it was just trying way too hard to be like finding Nemo and Up.

I can't speak for others but I don't hate it. the movie is really nice to look at but the plot is just very mediocre.
