    awesome mate Barra are fantastic fish gets your heart pumping. Defiantly caught a few over the meter mark in the Fitzroy River next to the bridge in Rockhampton u get some giants in there. But I love lake monduran as well same to all the other good dams here in Qld. Good job as always mate.

    i don't understand why you're talking about tide changes in a fresh water Dam? can u explain please mate?

  • @matthewmorshead2594
    @matthewmorshead2594 6 месяцев назад

    Wouldn't the fish be following patterns not so much tidal but the other elements involved eg. Air pressure, temperatures etc etc wind direction etc etc...bit hard to accept the tidal aspect of a fish that's never seen a second of tidal movement except wind or flood intake and the second usually kicks in their breeding cycle which makes them risk it for the biscuit over the wall to the party

      It’s hard to say 💯 but I’ve always been told about fishing the tide change in the barra dams and from my experience they definitely feed during these times, totally agree that it’s weird but it seems to work

    I only get catfish in that dam, despise the place

      i do fly there i keep the fly 6 f t under the surface if in10 ft of water if you trail it along the bottom you might be under the barra but in the catfish hunting ground

    whats funny is that I've been fishing for barra on all stages of the tide and got bites?...this type of fishing myth is limiting IMO....fish are opportunistic feeders they are moving to find food your style of waiting til one passes by doesn't mean they are not biting elsewhere its just that you waited in a spot until they came through....so many myths limit peoples experiences on the water....my old man was a snapper guy who is religious about tides, moons, baits, barometer, depth, temps etc etc but I can catch snapper all day any day on a bit of plastic lol...break the myths and join the 5% the best anglers never get stuck in myths.

      100% mate. Tides mean absolutely Jack on dams. Period.
