This "Blessing" Scam is a Pyramid Scheme

  • Blessing scams are being found on social media from the ease of adding recruits and the trust that people have in their friends and family.
    The BBB is warning social media consumers of these pyramid schemes because of the inability for people to analyze the schemes when invited by friends and family.
    The scheme is simple: bring a monetary GIFT to the group AND recruit two more people when you join.
    A pyramid scheme is when previous investors are paid with money from recruiting new investors. No matter how you want to label the gift, the reward is money and the prize is paid for from the new recruits. This makes this opportunity a pyramid scheme.
    There is no investment, there is no business, there is no way of generating money, yet somehow people are walking away with $11,200 from the pot after inputting only $1,400. Where exactly does the money come from?
    In this video, I breakdown an invitation webinar for one of these new blessing loom scams that are becoming prevalent throughout social media.

    This video is why I became a new sub and embarrassingly have to admit that I participated in a scheme exactly like this. Not only did I participate but I convinced 7 of my family members to participate as well. If it was just me I could take the loss and the lesson and keep it moving. This has caused a lot of damage between me and my family because I asked them to trust me and it was on the premises of a blessing. Needless to say we are all still waiting to be blessed. I am so sorry we ever came across the scam and that I involved them in it. Beware! 😢

    There was a period earlier in the summer when these schemes were floating around in Twitter/IG DMs because they didn't want to get caught. I keep telling them that eventually someone one will be out of the money and that the more people involved, the higher that probability is that it will be them.... theb they mock me and say that I am missing out on these "unique" and "rare" opportunities. Get ready for the hate bro and thank you for the great content. If you ever venture to NYC, dinner is on me.

      @lasskinn474 2 года назад

      people who don't have a wide general general education, basically the people the scam runner in this claims to be helping.
      And desperate plus those who think they deserve the world to give them money, a form of greed.
      Also you need to be a little bit greedy so it blinds that.
      Another common victim type is stupid people who got successful in life and think they're not stupid because they were successful in getting money, although they go usually for more elaborate scams where their ego is stroked to get into it.

    Hey Spencer, I love your content. I first go into you through your first music industry video. I want to one be a musician who profits off their work & your videos are really helping. I was wondering, can you do a video on American Online Insurance or AO Vanderkamp? I almost worked for them but quickly realized it was a pyramid scheme. They asked me to pay for “study materials”, work for commission instead of base pay. They had a pyramid scheme structure of promotion too and there rhetoric bordered on cultish. Please make a video on them, I want them to be exposed as a scheme or verified as legit. Thank you!
