I skate on 5/8 and my profile is the the standard Bauer vapor profile, nothing crazy.

Hey trew crew I’m a bigger guy and when I skate everyone makes fun of me at school do you have any tips to skate faster as a bigger guy also love the content

Doing sprints and getting stronger legs will make you faster
Us big guys have a tendency to stand up tall and skate around like string beans, thus not tapping into our full skating potential. Something I’ve noticed that can help with that is to stay low when you skate. This way, you’ll be able to make stronger strides as well as have your center of gravity closer to the ice, making it easier to make those sharp turns. Next time you go to the gym, focus on squats, leg press, deadlift, etc.

@@Kerny1x 6,33 player here, can confirm. Get comfortable staying low on the ice w. proper bend in the hips. As a defence player I have the upper hand w. a wide reach. You'll usually want to play a shorter stick and usual for a period, just to help you get used to the bend in the hips to get the stick properly on the ice.

Constructive criticism here. So many turnovers, for being a center thats the last thing you want in your game. Bad passing, not being able to score that’s ok, but the turnovers hurt to watch. Work on it🤘🏼
