Lol it’s funny cause the Ollie hadn’t been invented yet haha. God I’m so old 😂 but yeah the Ollie didn’t come about until a few years later by Jeff Tatum
Brings back memories. Yes I'm still around since the dinosaurs roamed. Been watching Lance since I was a kid. Cool to see this vid clip here in 2022! Also liked legendary Hawk, Caballero, McGill just to name a few. Those were the days!
The most important bands aren't always the most musically talented. They're the ones that inspire others to pick up a guitar and play. Lance does this for skateboarding.
@@gregory2611 this guy likes it as much as we do...he did a pretty good cover with what little existed ruclips.net/video/KbGj-zxtjQY/видео.html hopefully one day...someone will surface a cassette or something.
The first eight seconds of this are my favorite. I don't understand how you can roll off a roof and not break a board or not have knee pain. And I don't understand how you can land on crusty ground and roll away. I was having trouble getting my board to roll on the ground here that was purposely textured to make it look nuked (as far as I can tell) and people kept saying bigger harder wheels and it just wasn't working. It wasn't until I got some 60mm Alva gel looking wheels that were super soft (they say 83d but feel more like a 78d or lower) that I was actually able to roll and it was very freeing. They're probably as wide as the wheels they used in the eighties but designed very different.
How the hell did he skate over all those rocks without bein thrown?? I hit even one tiny pebble and my sh*t goes flying one direction and my board goes in the other☹️ Must be those fat wheels??
I could watch Lance skate for hours.
Same.
He makes skating look so accessible
Unclegrandpa loves you😂
One of the best skate parts ever. The epitome of riding a skateboard.
Not a single Ollie in 5 and 1/2 min and still the coolest guy in town

@@bornagainwierdo I thought Rodney Mullen was doing flatground ollies by the time this video came out
Lance made skateboarding seem so accessible in a world of prodigies like Tony, Rodney, and Steve. Dusting off my old board again at 27!
Don't stop, keep going! I'm 35 and still improving, skating better than ever.
Me too. Literally just skating freestyle like it’s the 80s but damn is it fun
Every time I watch a video of Lance I just wanna grab my board and go skating
The simple aesthetic here is amazing. Stylish cruising, rad upright street Bertlemens, simple tricks and that early/mid 80s setup...Wow

love how he rides the grass and gravel like it's nothing
Riding on 64mm Mini Cubics probably helped
All time #1 best video part

That boneless at 1:20 is so sick!
I wish they would reissues cross bones best skateboard wheels I loved them
what's the night session song?
one of the greatest skate vids of all time. depicting fun....not impossible shit.
I tried to search for it on Spotify and even tried to use Shazam, but I couldn't find it
@@gregory2611 its The Nudes - Mystery, from Santa Barbra, but no one has tracked a copy down

Anyone know the song at the end of the vid
i can't believe powell peralta didn't included this footage in the Bones brigade video show playlist...
And they say Rodney Mullen is the most technically gifted street skater. Lance Mountain is the truth! 💯
Whats that last song???
The hay days. Does anyone happen to know what camera this was filmed on?

Yes, the wheels probably help. I think they were Mini Cubics. Powell still has them. The ones they currently offer are 95A and 64mm. And really wide.
Beats every other skate "part" there is
Did he do any half pipe skating?
Vert
Yeah, he's even beaten Tony Hawk in a few contests too
Yeah, he was one of the elite of half pipe skating back in this era
Old thread I know but does anyone know what wheels lance rode when he was riding vert?
@@FrightBites I don't know what he used when he was riding vert, but, I think the wheels in this video are Mini Cubics, or maybe just Cubics.
Tragic that they let Stacey pick the music... 🙉🙉🙉
I forgot how bad the music was 🥴
