Dare I say this, Emarosa was talented with Jonny and still is with Bradley. Jonny Craig put out two stellar records with this band and is still reaching new heights with Slaves. Both bands are good I love this song I love Slaves, its time to stop making music a competition folks its petty and stupid. Just shut up, sit back, relax, and enjoy
patrick cantin lol nobody's making it a competition. There are simply trolls who say "this is generic" and then a million negative comments from dumb people taking the bait flood in. Like whatever music you want to like, don't take comments too seriously
I can't get over how divine this is. The soothing and graceful melodies compliment the lyrics so much and I'm blown away by the new singer as well. Emarosa is back, baby.
I don't know anything about old Emarosa or Jonny Craig, but this song is amazing. I think people need to stop comparing this to whatever Emarosa used to be and appreciate this song for what it is.
You guys wanna get technical about this? Alright. I prefer Chris Rotter over Jonny. He WAS the original singer ya know? But people seemed to get over that fact with Jonny. So i'm over the fact Jonny is gone and Bradley is in. In my opinion, Bradley fits better. This and Toast to The Future Kids are my favorite Emarosa songs. I'm glad Bradley is in the band. I'm gonna jam this album more than I did any of the other ones i'm sure.
you may prefer chris roetter but you can't say he's a better vocalist than jonny. 'cause that's what you're saying, right? that chris and bradley are better vocalists than jonny?
MrCaseHarts I honestly haven't listened to much Slaves. 3 songs mainly. Not that I don't like it, it's just I haven't taken the time to listen to it. Jonny is an amazing singer and always has been.
Let's be honest - Bradley is my dude, but Relativity was so dope, front to back. You can't say that when you've only heard a handful of songs from Versus.
Vincent Gilmore sure it's his opinion - and like he's allowed to voice things ignorantly, we can voice our disdain and disagreement for his opinion, alike.
Yeah besides the vocals sounding similar, I don't hear much that's the same. That's just me. But nVr, Issues is great if you like R&B mixed with that nu-metal feel. Actually I think it would just be considered Nu-Metal. Anyway yeah check em out!
I really like Emarosa, and Slaves. I think they both have something going for them. Emarosa's new sing is extremely talented and I think he brings so much to the table as far as writing goes to take this band to a new level. I also really like Slaves' record. Jonny is super talented and I think that having the guitarists from Hearts & Hands with their unique approach to guitar brings the band as a whole new level. Loved Slaves ' record overall, and I'm stoked to hear more from Emarosa.
I like this new singer cause he can actually hit high notes rather than getting all raspy from straining his voice and he doesn't feel the need to flutter his vibrato all over the place constantly. Sometimes, a nicely sustained note is just what you need, this guy gets it. Super stoked for this album.
Bradley sings with a lot of power and passion, but to me doesn't sound like he can top that soulful sound that Jonny produced. I still love the new Emarosa though.
Jonny is good but every song he does sounds the same. It's good for Emarosa to branch out. If you notice, every song from Slaves sounds like every song Jonny has done before. Glad Bradley has changed it up a bit. This is the best stuff they've done.
Stephan Smith i would say that and that i feel all his creativity and lyrics stayed with Emarosa. His songs with them were his deepest songs is what it seems
This guy is totally a good singer. I am a huge jonny craig fan since the first time I saw him live in 2006 because his live performances were unreal. But this seems like a cool direction for what emarosa is geared for. Jonny always shined the brightest when the guitar work was less power chord driven, sort of how he brought the RnB soul to Dance gavin dance in the breaks of those songs. If this band had never had that period with jonny I think people would agree that the singer is clearly talented. Its just geared for a different audience.
(WARNING: IRRELEVANT) I like this comment section because of the opinions I'm seeing, they're well thought out with really good points as oppose to most other comment sections on RUclips where it's just "Oh this better and that sucks period lol". Anyway I'm literally obsessed with this band. The first song I heard was MAD, then I heard We Are Life and I didn't even know the songs were sung by two different people until I looked at the comments. Even then I was confused. This band sounds great regardless
What's with all the hate? I have no history with this band or didn't know who Jonny Craig was a few weeks ago. I was looking for some heavier music but without uncleans, trying to expand my library I guess, and find some good music with powerhouse vocals leading them, with like this exceptional range and ability. A friend mentioned Slaves, so I picked up their album, I'm hooked and looked into JC's previous work with this band, listened to Relativity and I enjoyed it thoroughly, and now I've been listening to Versus with this new vocalist. They're both fantastic! Yeah obviously Jonny has a bigger fanbase and more years under his belt I suppose but why knock this new guy? He's filling big shoes and doing awesome at it, so let Slaves be Slaves, and Emarosa be Emarosa, no need to fight over who is superior, when both are incredible!
I've never been a huge fan of Tyler aye :-\ he's undeniably talented, but his style doesn't do much for me. (Lyrically, however, the man is freaking insane)
I find a more mellowed sound in Slaves overall compared to Emarosa (with Jonny), and honestly that's what I want from JC. My beef was with Squid The Whale, and how much I didn't like that sound in any aspect. So it took me a while to trust Emarosa, but after these first two tracks I'm sure we'll be okay. I love this song especially, even though it's missing the most awesome guitar complexities that apparently you need in every/any song to make it worth listening to. Solid A+ shit bros.
I've been listening to the new vocalist forever trying to figure out who else he sounds like. Reminds me of Garret's cleans from TCM first album a little bit.
It's fantastic. But i agree it'll never be like the previous two releases. You have to realize though that They had a different singer and were in different stages of their life. Now that they're older and the circumstances have changed we will never get the old emarosa. So everyone get over it
Orphen01 That's even more reason that we as a fanbase need to show our support. If bands like Emarosa are what the masses demand, we'll see less of the genericism that has plagued this label for the past couple of years.
At this point i don't see why Rise continues to sign any band or release any music because everyone is always put them (band and or Rise) down with band and or video release. I would honestly love 95 % of the bands on Rise past or present. I hope to work with such a great Record company. I think this a great release from a band that I love from before Jonny. I still can't get over how great "This Is Your Way Out" was.
Exactly! Rise can do what they want! It's cool to "hate" Rise so most people do it, even if the band has talent. I hope to work here same as you! And TIYWO was an amazing EP too!
There was a video i seen of Bradley singing A Toast to The Future Kids! and i honestly feel they shouldn't play any of their old music anymore. Bradley is a GREAT singer and this song proves it but he can't mimic what Jonny did with Emarosa.I understand Chris was the original vocalist but Jonny took them to whole new levels and i feel that's a good reason it took them awhile to come out with new music but that might just be me. I do see Bradley raising the bar a bit buti won't take away from the old Emarosa at all
As much as I liked Bradley in Squid the Whale, he will never be able to replace Jonny in Emarosa. Damn. He even wanted to come back and they turned him away. Biggest mistake they could have made if you ask me. I know it's a "selling your soul to the devil" kinda thing, but I'll be damned if it wouldn't have been worth it. Hell, I'd take Chris Roetter, because he was always my favorite with this band.
I hope Bradley can pull this off live. He tried to do "The Past Should Stay Dead" and he just couldn't keep up; he sang only half of the words in the entire song.
There are fans then there are fans who hate change. Reality check everything in life doesn't have to stay the same Johnny has Slaves dope band, but Emarosa is also a dope band always has been dope. Hate all you want and bitch and whine about change you ain't getting what you want you're getting some dope shit so enjoy the art.
With 'MAD', I said hell no, this has nothing on Jonny, the band is ruined! But now with this song, I like them better now than they ever were. I hope the rest of the album continues on this track.
I cannot feel this like i did when jonny was in the band. Both are great singers But i feel that Bradley were better in squid the whale. However we will see how i feel when the album is out. Maybe there is a Song i might like.
Bradly and Jonny run neck and neck in my opinion. I would have to give the edge to JC just because of the chemistry and flow of Relativity and the Self titled album are still untouchable today. It seems to me that Bradly is a bit conservative when I think he should just be epic (like jonny). As talented as B-rad is I think he has the sauce to really open up and blow us away.
Although I like Johnny better as a vocalist, and his work with emarosa better. Bradley fits in with the sound much better and I'm excited to hear how this entire album comes out.
Thank you! !!! I feel exact same way, all the bands are good how they are now!
Matthew Capo sadly no one gets it haha
Seriously! !! I saw emarosa live in May and they were fantastic going to see slaves on aug 20th !!!
patrick cantin lol nobody's making it a competition. There are simply trolls who say "this is generic" and then a million negative comments from dumb people taking the bait flood in. Like whatever music you want to like, don't take comments too seriously
Trenton Bigfoot you can't tell me you don't notice the emarosa and slaves comparison comments though
One band, three different vocalists, still my favorite at all.
I want Chris Roberts :p
you may prefer chris roetter but you can't say he's a better vocalist than jonny. 'cause that's what you're saying, right? that chris and bradley are better vocalists than jonny?
I like bradly he aint bad. Im not overly impressed yet though. Slaves blew me away though.
MrCaseHarts I honestly haven't listened to much Slaves. 3 songs mainly. Not that I don't like it, it's just I haven't taken the time to listen to it. Jonny is an amazing singer and always has been.
Vincent Gilmore number 7 is going to blow you away. my fav song hands down.
Well shit, I'm plesantly surprised. Really good song by a band that I stopped caring about years ago. Awesome work Emarosa
This easily tops their previous two albums
hahahahaha let's not fool ourselves, buddy
Let's be honest - Bradley is my dude, but Relativity was so dope, front to back. You can't say that when you've only heard a handful of songs from Versus.
It's his opinion. He can say it if he wants. I agree with him.
***** And that's your opinion. Don't call someone's opinion dumb because you don't agree.
Vincent Gilmore
sure it's his opinion - and like he's allowed to voice things ignorantly, we can voice our disdain and disagreement for his opinion, alike.
I enjoy all Emarosa has put out. But i think this is my favorite so far. Just my opinion.
"issues"
What?
Vincent Gilmore He means the band Issues, I think they have a similar style, I need to check them out also :)
nVr Although I like them both, Emarosa and Issues are nothing alike!
Yeah besides the vocals sounding similar, I don't hear much that's the same. That's just me. But nVr, Issues is great if you like R&B mixed with that nu-metal feel. Actually I think it would just be considered Nu-Metal. Anyway yeah check em out!
I like how they kept the fox from the other album cover :)
If there's anything I love about Emarosa besides the music itself, it's the fox.
no more :(
I really like Emarosa, and Slaves.
This is definitely going to be one of the top upcoming albums of 2014!
Like if you agree
Beautiful. So glad these guys are back.
I like this new singer cause he can actually hit high notes rather than getting all raspy from straining his voice and he doesn't feel the need to flutter his vibrato all over the place constantly. Sometimes, a nicely sustained note is just what you need, this guy gets it. Super stoked for this album.
New Emarosa, New Feel. Looking forward to how it sounds for the whole album
My favorite Emarosa song by far, man
lol
Pretty solid. Reassuringly good. Bradley can hold his own.
Still very excited for this to drop, loved this and MAD. Look forward to rocking this is my car
Sounds ace! Can't wait to get the new album. :D
I stopped listening to Emarosa when Jonny left but now I regret it! This guy rocks.
I have missed these guys so much!!
Had a drop of letlive in there for a moment, I really like this lineup. I've had a hard time getting into Emarosa, but this might be my gateway album
So much about what Emarosa was and so much more. This song is just awesome
Wow NEW FAVORITE BAND...WELL one of my favorites now.!!!
Bradley sings with a lot of power and passion, but to me doesn't sound like he can top that soulful sound that Jonny produced. I still love the new Emarosa though.
Jonny is one of a kind.
***** I've never heard anyone sing like Jonny does live.
Jonny is good but every song he does sounds the same. It's good for Emarosa to branch out. If you notice, every song from Slaves sounds like every song Jonny has done before. Glad Bradley has changed it up a bit. This is the best stuff they've done.
***** It's because of the people he aligns himself with. He used to have Will Swan, a genius. Now he has those average dudes from slaves.
Stephan Smith i would say that and that i feel all his creativity and lyrics stayed with Emarosa. His songs with them were his deepest songs is what it seems
Oh look. The 2nd single taken from the BEST ALBUM EVER
Emarosa is coming back strong!
Good stuff, I'm liking this more and more with every new release!
OMG this is awesome. So excited for the new album!
Sounds solid, can't wait to check out the full album.
Really enjoyed both songs that have been released, cant wait for this album will be incredible as Emarosa always has been!
Man im so stoked for this album....
Emarosa has always been a beautiful band this song proves it big time!
Been waiting forever for this. I love the new singer.
I la la loooove new emarosa. I love the song writing. Beautiful
New Emarosa cd and Destiny all in one day? AWWW YISSS
Don't play _Sleeping with Sirens_ at the end of the video. No _Emarosa_ listener wants to hear that.
I had to laugh that Rise Record's is promoting Sleeping With Sirens with If You Can't Hang and not their new garbage album.
Even Rise knows Feel was shite.
Because it's rises all time selling track.
I think the new singer is awesome! This is one of my favorite songs right now.
I've waited so long for this and that time was definently worth waiting for!! I love this!
This and Wovenwar will be the top albums of 2014. I can't even fathom my own excitement right now.
1:24 was actually very reminiscent of Jonny. Emarosa is so beautiful.
I'm so hyped for this album..
This guy is totally a good singer. I am a huge jonny craig fan since the first time I saw him live in 2006 because his live performances were unreal. But this seems like a cool direction for what emarosa is geared for. If this band had never had that period with jonny I think people would agree that the singer is clearly talented. Its just geared for a different audience.
These singles are off the chain!
So buying this album Day 1!
(WARNING: IRRELEVANT) I like this comment section because of the opinions I'm seeing, they're well thought out with really good points as oppose to most other comment sections on RUclips where it's just "Oh this better and that sucks period lol".

I feel like people don't get how good this band is.
Fuck yea, bring this shit on. Can't wait for the record to come out. Emarosa will always kick ass, regardless of who sings
Emarosa and Forever Came Calling are both realising albums on my Bday. Haha
All the members are so damn talented. This is a band.
this is amazing!!!
It's solid :D,definitely gonna keep an eye on the album.
Really hope a video is in the works for this track. Best track on the album.
ok I have listened to this song 3 times. and I still don't remember a god dam thing from it besides that little lead in the beginning.
This is way better than 'Mad'.
Just wish there wasn't a war in every comments section over Jonny Craig.
this vocalist sounds like jonny craig and tyler carter had a baby
YES
I've never been a huge fan of Tyler aye :-\ he's undeniably talented, but his style doesn't do much for me.
(Lyrically, however, the man is freaking insane)
Bradley is better then both. Craig and Carter are both talented but there talent is way to over exaggerated by there fans
Great song looking forward to the album .. I just hope Bradley can pull it of live as it seems he couldn't when it came to Mad
This gives me the damn chills. epic!
Definitely a decent song. It didn't blow me away, but Bradley has a ton of talent and passion. Looking forward to the rest of the album!
This needs to made into a music video! MY FAVORITE SONG
I certainly love the breakdown of the rest of the song at part 2:22
This was so good!
Absolutely beautiful.
i can't preorder this fucking album fast enough
I love Emarosa so much.
Excited much!
You guys never disappoint! GREAT MUSIC. LOVE THIS! but why Jonas Ladekjaer is not in the picture?
It's fantastic. But i agree it'll never be like the previous two releases. You have to realize though that They had a different singer and were in different stages of their life. Now that they're older and the circumstances have changed we will never get the old emarosa. So everyone get over it
No lyric videos for Emarosa? What's up Rise !?
Not gonna invest a ton of money on an album that was basically recorded due to a contract.
Orphen01 Lyric videos do not cost tons of money.
Orphen01 That's even more reason that we as a fanbase need to show our support. If bands like Emarosa are what the masses demand, we'll see less of the genericism that has plagued this label for the past couple of years.
True.
Album cover leads me to believe the album should be called 'What does the fox feel?'
I love the new vocalist!
I love it :)
New Emarosa > Slaves (Jonny Craig fan)
At this point i don't see why Rise continues to sign any band or release any music because everyone is always put them (band and or Rise) down with band and or video release. I wasnt too fond of the past albums emarosa put out with past vocalists, but this is really good.

I just think how Jonny would fucking slay this song so hard.
I hope Bradley can pull this off live. He tried to do "The Past Should Stay Dead" and he just couldn't keep up; he sang only half of the words in the entire song.
another month!? I don't think i can wait
the new Emorosa is so much fucking better than before!!!!
i love this
JC did this band so much more justice. Self titled album will be the best this band will ever be. JC was Emarosa, this isn't Emarosa. #sorrynotsorry
I'll give the album a chance forsure. but regardless, I believe JC is Emarosa. Idk, Bradley's voice, it's just, can't take it.
This should so be the next James Bond movie theme song lol best way to explain it
People doesnt enjoy music always criticizing everything but they dont know how hard is to create music for peoe who doesnt care and dont love em.
ooohhh BABY~
can't wait for this beautiful shit
With 'MAD', I said hell no, this has nothing on Jonny, the band is ruined! But now with this song, I like them better now than they ever were. I hope the rest of the album continues on this track.
I'm probably going to get shit for this but Johnny kinda sounds like the old Patrick Stump in the beginning of this song.
Either way I love it ♡
I love you emarosa
I cannot feel this like i did when jonny was in the band. Both are great singers But i feel that Bradley were better in squid the whale.
However we will see how i feel when the album is out. Maybe there is a Song i might like.
*New* Emarosa
Just miss the gutairs from Relativity but hey this is solid and I dig it
OMG hell yeahs!!!
This song is significantly better than Mad. This song has definitely gotten me more excited for the album.
Perfect!
Although I like Johnny better as a vocalist, and his work with emarosa better. Bradley fits in with the sound much better and I'm excited to hear how this entire album comes out.
