Some make sure their younger ones stay in school etc and there are some that don't really care much. Houses tend to compete against each other in balls. I'm a loner I never get involved in houses or the ballroom scene but I have picked up what i know from discussion groups etc.

It bring together black gays who perform these dances of intricate moves which in away is telling a story. Mostly they compete against each other. Houses are like fraternities and most times people who vogue is a member of a house and so they adopt the name of that house as their last name to go with there first name these names are not real birthnames
