  • Now we cover the lore of the Oldest subtype of the demons, the Obyrith. These demons have two very different origin stories and lore depending on if you're looking at 3.5e or 4e so I decided to cover both in this video. Enjoy!

I'm a 3.5 fan personally. Lots of room to do things and have some own interpretations... but I just like the idea of them being primal aspects of the cosmos rather than from somewhere else entirely. Because if they came from inside, that means the potential was always inside the cosmos.

Definitely 3.5. I've been playing since ADnD.

I'll be listening to this multiple times lol. There's not too much available about this lore. The original writers did a great job coming up with what we do have. The rest of us are hanging on every word about this.😮
Thank you for your uploads brother.
I love the fact that the Obyriths were just re-creating life from their old home universe. It all seems so mysterious. It's not their fault their forms don't translate well in our universe.
And the only beings left from their world, are the most predatory and evil things imaginable.

I really like the Obyriths as well, both origins are really cool! I'm happy you enjoyed the video.

29:55 older Eberron lore was pretty solidly not attached to the wheel or the astral sea with its own planes around it

I think its still (mostly) the same way in 5e too. The whole of Eberron is just situated within its own crystal sphere on the Material Plane. Technically it's there but just cut off from everything else. But to be fair, my extent of Eberron lore is limited, though I intend to do a deep dive into that as well.

@nicthedm7650 Makes the setting feel too small and all its extra planes feel wasted to hook it in. Keithr Baker's Eberron in Ravenloft thing on the Dm's guild has options for both a true ravenloft version and one set on effectively Eberron's own plane of shadow.

Obyrith like Dagon was never defeated nor attempted to be overthrown even by the Queen of Chaos during her coup of Obox-Ob. Just FYI @.@
Edit: nvm. I was too quick to mention Dagon before even finishing your video lololol

3.5 e: idk they just, exist
4 e: outer-multiversal beings bent on bending this multiverse to their will
