  • Spark 2 is a mail client that you can use alongside of Apple Mail. You can connect your iCloud mail, google mail, yahoo mail, and most other mail accounts. Spark is the default mail client I use on my Mac, iPad, and iPhone. Why? It offers a number of features Apple Mail does no including a Smart View for your Mail, Quick Replies, and mail templates. It also can snooze your email, set follow-up notifications, and it can schedule emails when to be sent. See why I like to use Spark as my default mail app in this video for Spark.

simple topic. Can I set up folders so emails from some people will automatically go into a folder I have for them?

I have been using spark since 1.0
    2.0 has been great
But 3.0 makes me worried. Are you using the electron based spark 3.0 on mac? I feel like they broke something that just worked really well for me. I still use spark 2.0 on mac but looks like we will only get a year or 2 of support
On ios the changes of 3.0 are not that jarring.

I have been using Spark for some time and I love it! But thanks, Dan - you have shown me some of the features I just have not gotten around to checking out yet!! I do have one question for you. Is it possible in Spark to bulk send several emails as attachments in a single email to someone? Look forward to your response!

Happy to help! As far as your question, what you'd like to do is forward a number of emails to a single person, correct? As far as I know, it is not possible. Good idea though for a feature!

Amazing video I will definitely switch to Spark! Thank you for the info.
Also I’ve been using Apple for a couple years and still don’t know if I’m using the reminders app at its full potential or even the basic level

Great video. A quick question. I have Mac mail and a ton of iCloud folders. How do these 'transfer' over to Spark? Thx so much.

You do not need to 'transfer' them over. They will still be located in the cloud, and you can actually use Spark and the Mail app side by side. It just works. e😊

Just discovered your videos and the video for Spark 2. I would definitely be interested in a video that would show how to use Spark 3. I've been using Spark 2 for some time now, in conjuction with my Mac Mail app. I was using Spark 2 specifically because of the ability to send scheduled mail, which doesn't seem to be available on any other mail app I've looked at. I tried Spark 3 for about a day and got so confused by it that I canceled the free trial. There are still things I don't understand about Spark 2 so trying to go over to Spark 3 probably isn't advisable. One of the things I use in Apple Mail is mailboxes as folders for specific groups or emails. I don't see how that's done with Spark 2. So, I'd love to see something with features like that presented as a video. You've done an excellent job!

Wow! Just saw the fee for Spark 3 - $60 a year is very very steep. For a personal use only application, and as a senior, there's just no way I can afford to pay $60 a year for a few features that aren't all that important to me. I already pay for a couple of subscriptions that I use pretty much every day. I guess I don't need a Spark 3 how-to video. $60 is just too high!

I was hesitant on the price as well. I just kept with Spark 2 for several months, and Spark 2 is still available, so you can keep using it. After several attempts at Spark 3, I finally caved. While expensive, it'd be hard for me to go back to Apple Mail or others. Once I got the hang of it, it works very well for me. I do plan on creating videos for it sooner than later.

spark would be perfect if the free version allowed you to block senders

Thanks for video ... On ipad, I can't autocomplete email addresses, I have to physically tap the ipad for each email address. Is this expected behavior?!

    • @DansTutorials
      @DansTutorials  2 года назад

The iPad should autocomplete. Is it only in Spark that is doesn’t do this?

    • @Ericuf

@@DansTutorials It autocompletes, but using a keyboard, there's no way to actually select the address. Thx for reply!

May I ask what screen recording software you’re using?

Looks like it is no longer free for personal use. It is prompting me to pay $60 per year.

That is for Spark 3. You can still use Spark 2, which is what the videos are on. They will support v2 for a while yet from what I understand.
