I've got to be honest I actually thought you'd be making a bit more than that especially after winning the British title. Yes it's certainly not chump change but it's a very brutal sport with the potential to cause permanent disfigurement to hands and especially face. On top of that there's also the pressure of fighting in front of thousands of people which I'm guessing a lot of fighters would perhaps struggle with, that's all before you even begin to consider the weeks and weeks of hard training every day. This is why I have so much respect for the people who can actually do this for a living, you have to love fighting and literally live and breathe the sport to become successful which you certainly have Danny... respect to you bro

@Lamebred. not really 17 min. It's a heavy, heavy training camp leading upto the fight. The fight is just the end result of 3 month hard work. I just feel like people who exchange blows should be heavily compensated for their effort. And 50 grand for the fights he has had is not what I would call healthy compensation. I do get that if its put in front of you and the offer of cash is made when your world needs cash it is a enticing offer. But it doesn't sit right with me. Thats all. 🙏

The reality is that this is only for seasoned fighting men like yourself or Decca etc. It's not something to encourage young blokes who can have a scrap to do. If you look at blokes like Michael Bisping who has has proper money for throwing hands he's lost 50% of his sight. The risk to reward ratio isn't worth the trade off. Like Danny said it's fine for blokes like him because he was gonna fight anyway even if it was for free.
