Amshula prakash is such a level headed person. Not trying to bash either side of the spectrum nor labeling them but instead understanding the perspective of people on each side and treating them as humans. Rare quality in today's right left fights.

Like I've said, its a rare to find people who don't judge so quickly (atleast in the online space). With the current scenario of left right bashing, this was refreshing to see.

Level headed for not how she presented herself in front of the camera, but for her opinions and perspective. She was nervous in the start yes, but she presented her opinions very clearly, and didn't shy away from disagreeing on so many occasions. So doesn't look like she would shy away from "left right" bash if that's what she wanted to.

I always felt why do we need women in our lives other than procreation but in the first 5 minutes Amshula made me realize why humanity needs women. She was able to change both Danny's and Suresh's opinion about blocking the trolls and made them realize that they need to engage with them to bring a positive change. As men we are very ignorant and pompous. We need that female voice to keep us grounded and make a better world. She was the highlight of this video..

The way she defended the point of making people understand pov rather than just blocking them point blank is exactly what the nation needs as a thought process. If only I could get an opportunity to sit with her have a cup of coffee and discuss politics and philosophy

Mira rajput's views are abhorrent. I don't know her, so cannot make the same judgement about her. Love/hate ideas, not people.
Ideas as are good as how they are being communicated. Perhaps it's a problem with her grasp of language. What I mean here is that making something sound emphatic in order to capture one's sentiment is extremely difficult if subtlety is the need. She went all out with her excitement of being a mother (and being of an immature age) juxtaposing a human baby to a pet but forgot to word it in a way that won't generalise her opinion as there are many who might do a better job as working mums than she would as a house mum (or whatever is the politically correct term for it). I guess calling something of this sort as abhorrent or even investing energy to judge is a waste of time because the issue or whether being a house mum is better doesn't have large scale implications. Her ideas won't change anything. On the other hand if she had said something like having a pet is better than having a baby, it would have a wider implication by the way of debating on the personal choice of reproduction and society's need for procreation (implication from a conceptual point of view, nothing else)...
Brillant that you called Amshula on the podcast. Made absolutely valid counter-arguments to Suresh sir's views on blocking negative comments on Twitter.

Why
Freedoms and rights are owed by governments to people. Me condemning statements is not an infringement of Foe, nor is twitter blocking someone. Individuals and organizations which are non governmental in nature cannot administer rights, only governments can. Celebrities are afforded a platform. When the government undermines(arrests/bans/censors) it, they have a right to complain. Twitter blocking you or people abusing you? Toughen up. Your rights are still intact.

Celebs have a huge impact... Princess Diana shined the light on so many issues which people began caring about because Princess D cares for it! Conversely we have the bhaiiiiii crowd :( ... As an occasional comment maker, all i am looking for is to express my opinion and to see how many agree or extremely disagree... Population has another disadvantage; each new baby adds 9000 tonnes of carbon to the annual cf. As long as Gadot's tweet goes, soldiers generally support their teammates rather than the politics... Every soldier in some way violates human rights and gets his/her own human rights violated in some way... The riots, every riot taps into an insidiously negative aspect of humanity... nothing good comes out of those... On the dot guys about Kashmir, Nixon delayed the cease fire for Vietnam because he wanted to use 'nam as an election issue.... Ohh some journalists partially do it; recently Megan Kelly called Putin out on his face about Russia meddling in the US elections. I went overboard with this comment ::she sweat-drops::

How are you guys so sure that Israel is the bad guy in the matter? Most people are confused about the matter, then what extra information do you have to be clear on it ... Besides Israel is the only stable place in the region where even the muslims are pretty safe. Is it so difficult to consider that Israel is on the right side of things and what is happening in Gaza is only a response to Palestinian extremism ?!

At around 29:40 they complain about overpopulation and also feel happy about the fact that India's population is the youngest it has ever been. To make a country overpopulate fast, you will need to produce a lot of babies quickly which in turn will make the country young. So young country is equivalent to growing population. You can't be happy and complain about it at the same time.
Also, I don't think the economic disparity is because of overpopulation. For example, USA, Russia, Saudi Arabia all suffer from great economic disparity but they don't have large population density. Economic disparity should stem from bad economic policies.

Hey.. Daniel, nice podcast. Thanks. Just a thought on Suresh's take on Indo-Pak relations. I would like to tell him that there are Indian artists performing in Pakistan quite often. Secondly, if the argument is that we have given chances to Pakistan artists then it has happened purely from business point of view. Producers, in return, have benefited from using talent of that nation. Thirdly, how do you think snapping sports and cultural ties with a nation is going to resolve a geo-political situation. Going by that argument how many Indian celebrities or sportspersons in India take a stand when something wrong is committed in any part of the country be it inter-state water disputes, attacks on migrant workers who are struggling to earn a livelihood which is their constitutional right. How many celebrities take a stand and oppose these acts? Would Suresh argue that then players from different Indian states will also be not allowed to play with and in other states? I am not supporting violence as a mean to react but if there was stone pelting on trains as a reaction of a community when their historical place of worship was taken down how many celebrities stood up against this assault on the diverse culture of our country? and how is that related to not allowing cricket or other cultural interactions between two countries?
