- Although PDQ's Laserwash 4000 is one of the most heavily used systems in the US, I've only found one of them so far in my travels. Well, today that number jumps to two. This one is nicer than the one I found in Jefferson City, and also includes a moving dryer (which I almost missed out on).
For those of you familiar with the new PDQ Laserwash 360 and Laserwash G5, this is the predecessor. Follow me on:

This was your first car wash video I ever watched back in 2013. It was how I discovered your channel. This video is nostalgic to me!
I took my car through a laserwash 4000 today in Australia, very impressed with it unlike there is no dryers
The Laserwash 4000, yes that one is an older one. That switch on the ground is the steel treadle. It does become a problem when you can't fit your wheel in lol.
always when im sick, i love waching all of your car wash video's but i dont know why i do it only when im sick :)
this is a throwback to the 1990s. That sign is vintage, if not my favorite, floor treadle is basically a switch, once the contact made, it will throw you the stop signal. The bars on the side of it are actually rollers so it will slip your wheel into place should you misguide yourself. I believe the main reason they got rid of it was because people like my mother have a hard time getting into that groove so when sensors were introduced, many of them came up off the ground. the system looks very well maintained and taken care of.
This one is vintage probably 1989 model ,it has the early signs ,floor treadle ,no trifoam ,and the spray arch has been replaced originally there black. Also it seems the front fiberglass cover was replaced because they originally have the PDQ logo on the left and it had turquoise stripes that run across to the LW4000 logo. Also by looking on street view Aug 2016 it seemed it got replaced by a Washworld High Velocity.
Yes it did it’s a wash world high volcity system now
wow i have never seen the dryer do that on a 4000
By the looks of that Laserwash 4000 and signage, I believe that one is probably a mid 1990's installation probably like late 1996 early 1997. The cover on the system is definitely 1990's
BiRDiE the signage is from 1989.
I found a carwash in the Harbor Springs area (I live in Petoskey) with a dryer like this. And yes its a laserwash 4000 and it has the labels on it and everything.
8:37 I love how this works.
Excellent dryers
And I think you should revisit this wash.
The signs are carefree.
i saw how the dryer picked up and moved with the machine the dryer actualy has tires that ride along the track with the machine as it come to the dryinng cycle
I think I have one of those exact models near my house...
Weird to see the entry of an automatic car wash on the front of the complex.
Suposedly, the 400 system across the street is back up again. Got to try it, see if anything is different about it.
Laser dryer 4000 Docking Dryer I believe. In the systems I have seen locally where I live, they can program the docking dryer to either be a static dryer depending on the traffic flow. In busier times they set them to not dock and have you drive through but in slower times, it actually docks...I believe it's magnetic
Laserwind, and thanks for the info
Why don't you revisit this car wash next time you go here
they are a LOT more efficient than the US2001 overhead
10:04 The arm was readjusting its self to its default position
i went through a laserwash yesterday! as you may know
Can u do a revisit

That place should upgrade to PDQ Protouch Icon or the PDQ Protouch Tandem-Plus
Or maybe a PDQ tandem surfline(2 brushes on front)
PDQ tandem and pro touch tandem(1 brush on front)
