Great interview as always. My younger brother struggled with severe PTSD after his time in the Army. Unfortunately earlier this year he took his life. Thank you for addressing PTSD. it's very real.

Pat’s interviews where his childlike excitement and admiration for the person and their accomplishments are hard for him to reign in are the best.
His James Holzhauer interview when Jeopardy James took the world by storm is one I shared with so many Jeopardy watchers who loved it and had no idea who the tank top wearing former ball bomber was.
The interview recently with Darrelle Revis was amazing. If you added up all the radio and interviews Revis had done in his career you still wouldn’t have learned as much and gotten as good a sense of who he was as a human.
Follow Jack Carr and so PUMPED UP watching this. Greatest interview EVER!!

I’ve been a fan since the first book, and have seen most of Jack’s podcasts and tons of interviews, but I especially enjoyed this one. Appreciated Pat’s genuine enthusiasm.
Fun Fact: Jack Carr is a big fan of the late philosopher/author Ayn Rand. And that horizontal blue book always to the left of A.J. Hawk's dome reads Ayn Rand. 🔥
That's why I love this show cause everyone get to have their beliefs.
If this was ESPN they'd fire AJ Hawke for having an Ayn Rand book even though Ayn Rand wasn't offensive or hated anyone but just purely that she was right wing and objectivism philosopher.

I am a veteran of the U.S. Navy (2001-2009) and I met a few Seals and they are a different breed entirely. I am bias in saying they are the most elite special operations force and that isn't important right here. Jack Carr brought exceptional credit upon himself and were in keeping with the highest traditions of the naval service. I know I am in for a remarkable experience reading his books from start to finish.
That was effing EPIC!!! Know we're here for the sports and entertainment aspect but one of the best interviews of the show, in my humble opinion. Just when you think the show and boyz can't provide any better entertainment as well. Crushing it!!!
Adding a potential thought of a Win-Win. Just a potential "Somethings Up" with a twist with Lt. CMNDR'S group, soldiers, and Fur The Brand to help animals, soldiers, on both aspects. Helping animals/soldiers come back for a life, soldiers with a dog to come back to life and more. Win-Win potential I see between groups?

This was a stinkin' awesome interview! Lt. Cmdr. Jack Carr seems to be a great guy, and I'm glad that he had the opportunity to keep his hands on the project. A lot of authors don't get that chance and see their work misrepresented by the Hollywood movie types.

We served in the same war. I was in the Army supporting our troops in the battlefield during OEF and OIF so our troops can focus on what they did best. Jack Carr was a Navy SEAL. I am so proud of Jack Carr’s achievements. I’ve read and watched the Terminal List, finished reading True Believer, Savage Son, and currently reading The Devil’s Hand, then next reading will be In The Blood. I’ve read that Jack was in southern Philippines practicing Counterinsurgency operations. I look forward to reading more of his journey there. Jack, you are an awesome writer. I am wishing you the best Jack Carr. Keep moving forward and I hope to get to read all your books. “"Never Out Of The Fight”!
Pat is the only sports commentary show I enjoy watching so I was beyond thrilled when you had my favorite author on the show!! Jack Carr is an awesome person and writer! He recently did a very personal interview that shows what an amazing human, husband and father, he is.

Best shotgun scene I have ever seen, Terminal List - Taylor Kitsch….incredibly realistic and just badass use as an offensive weapon.
I'm usually not a fan of thrillers. (I did my sr thesis on Joyce's Ulysses, if that means anything.) But I found this dudes work to be super engaging -- with highly functional writing. as for the TV show, the negative reviews were utterly devoid of reasoning. Judging it on the merits of a genre work (I e., if you don't like the genre, it might be a hard sell), it's one of the better offerings to come out lately. Amazon has definitely been stepping up its (non-ideologicaly driven) game lately; unlike Netflix and disney. looking forward to seeing more of "Jack's" work... good storyteller.

The James Reece book series is excellent. For anyone wondering it doesn’t lean left or right. Don’t let criticism stop you from reading them. Can’t wait for the next book.
Edit: Chris Pratt was a good choice. I see him perfectly through the books and the character fits him perfectly.
Jack Carr is an AMAZING author! His book series will keep you enthralled from the start. The audiobooks with Ray Porter narrating are the ultimate for a long commute.

Wow! Need to get Carr on the Learning Leader podcast with AJ's brother Ryan.
The moment he said, "not many books have been written about writing..." I instantly thought of "On Writing" by Stephen KIng. I bought that book years ago and somehow it got disposed of while I was off teaching in Korea and it was in my mother's house when she died while I was gone.

God damn it, best thing about the show was that it was a complete story in one season. Another season will just take away from season 1's greatness. Like and respect this guy but really wanted him to do a different story still potentially involving the military.

The show was incredible, very refreshing to see some completely unwoke this day and age. Now to read the book.
Fun fact. The scenes where the Asian woman reporter stays at her brother’s beach house is my buddy’s pad. They paid him $100K to rent his house for two weeks 😃
My favorite part of this clips was every single part except when tye opened up his stooge yap. I really miss those couple weeks he was gone at home with his new baby.

The show was ok. Not as bad as the critics claimed but not as good as the anti-critics claimed. Some place in the middle is were i found it to be.
you're not entirely wrong. I think people are starved for action movies or series that aren't Star Wars or super hero garbage that's why it's so widely loved.
