Your videos with their beautiful images and your soothing voice are like a haven of peace and tranquility in these dire times. So you can forget for a few minutes the terrible things that are currently happening in the world. Thank you so much for this and take care of yourself.
Thank you. My grandmother was born in Guiting Power in the late 1800’s. She immigrated to New Zealand in 1929. I have seen my great uncles name on the memorial and seen relatives headstones in the cemetery by the church. I have also stayed in the pub. I loved seeing the village again.
Back to more simpler and peaceful times, love old villages and you present them so eloquently! So relaxing and an escape from today's stresses and strains.
Thanks for another great episode Robin from an enthusiastic fan in the USA. Your authentic passion and detailed descriptions of the Cotswolds, paint a vivid picture of what was and what is great about the region. I truly appreciate your passion and ability to describe the rich history that you experience. I hope to visit the UK one day and the Cotswolds are on the top of my list.
Robin, with that sublime voice of yours, you could read my death sentence and I will feel comforted! Wonderful series of beautiful places, not to mention the kindred spirit of a production team who, like its viewers, believe in restoration and preservation instead of cheap boxes in endless rows for the sake of money.
My mother and I had many happy church services and much laughter , harvest festivsls. I would walk through the churchyard each day to get to school. I would also take a lonely pony stabled at the forge out for rides and grazing . She belonged to the farmers arms.
I certainly love your channel, and believe I've watched.....all of it. As an American stationed at RAF Croughton from 1992 - 1997, I managed to see a significant slice of the Cotswolds - while on break from the working at the base, of course. I thoroughly enjoyed my time in the England. With the surname Stanley, I gravitate toward England, and (with no forethought or planning) find myself an genuine Anglophile. Please, keep visiting these magnificent, unique villages. Your tours seem to ground me in a peculiar way I find nowhere else. Well, that - and Widget and Gizmo are brilliant. Take care, and keep up the good work!! Many of us are extremely appreciative!
What a lovely video! I am so glad to see that this place is not left to ruin, but is coming to life again! I had to chuckle at you sending Ross up the bell tower……I did the same thing at Holy Trinity church in Teigh. The narrow, winding stairs, the bell rope we clutched carefully to keep our balance, and ignoring the dust and spider webs, finally reached the top to view the bells and supports dated 1794. What a treat! Thanks for sharing this little village’s reawakening!
Thanks Robin, really enjoy your series..we have been visiting the Cotswolds for 30 years..always finding hidden gems..usually by turning off the main roads, and down narrow side roads.. seeing where it leads us.. Thanks again !
Thanks again Robin for another great visit. Added to my list to visit. I'm only over the border from the North Cotswolds in Worcestershire, but you've been taking me to so many of my ancestral villages, still finding more to visit. Thank you. 😊
I'm glad I found this I've had no notifications at all. I enjoy your explorations of the Cotswolds and I had wondered where you have gone to, I've made double sure I am subscribed ( I was anyway).
I lived in Guiting Grange, went to primary school in Guiding . I think I'm the last person alive who actually lived in Guiding Grange before it was demolished .
Have you ever visited Guiting Power? Where else would you like us to visit? Let us know!
You must have come here just days after I came here for this.
How about visiting lovely village of Shilton just South of Burford?
Anywhere you think,I love all of the places you have shown.
Anywhere you chose would be wonderful so I can travel vicariously to The Cotswolds. Living in Australia I am limited in actually visiting.
Compton Abdale.

I lived in the Cotswolds in the 1960s and always heard Guiting Power pronounced as you do in this video, never any other way.
Sounds like we got it right then!
I could listen to you all day! 😊
What a beautiful village AND still with a post office, plus two pubs. The inside of the church was also very attractive.
Greetings from Germany and from your silent fans. Thanks for your videos.

Good work keep it up. Hello from Scott in. oivd n.y usa
This is the village where Ex Nurse Ada Green and locals chased out the Nazi's in 1962. The story was published in the Daily Mirror.
It was called 'Gitting Pior'.....I remember Gordon Cockren. But the dates are wrong he bought in in late 50's. And did blood work..
Forever England.
