It was worth the wait, right ? And these solo strings are so playable, even live - as you see I'm switching articulations in real time. Doing this walkthrough has been so much fun! Thank you for watching, hope you liked it and found it useful 🎻😁
Well done Vincent. Very clear and useful. Hahahahhh....GOT! Marvelous Sibelius violin concert. Zigane is very fascinating. Good job! Thank you and all VSL team. 😊

Hello friend, can I ask you? I have bought vsl synchron solo cello, and when using it as dynamic legato, when playing from one key to another, the second note triggers louder, I have to play very softly so that the transitions sound more real, could you tell me where I can configure it to change touch sensitivity in plugin? so I could play without having to play so softly.
Great walkthrough! Sounds like mf < ff dynamics only. Which you can really hear lacking those soft dynamics when playing Sibelius, Mendelssohn and Schindler's list. Maybe the soft dynamic come in another addon?
Or perhaps I'm always playing too loud? 😅 CC1+CC11 combined allows you to go really down to PPP. Blame the loud sound of the video and the pianist who always plays too loud ... That's what the cellists say 😬
These are a yuge step up from the old SE instruments. I have them and they're fantastic. If you go easy on the mics, not too CPU intensive. I want their Chamber Strings next.
The SYNCHRON - ized chamber strings are made for you, there's even the SYNCHRON Elite Strings, newer and better ;-) Plenty of strings for you at VSL ! 🎉🎻
Hello Vincent, thank you for doing this excellent video. I've recently upgraded to the complete Synchronized library and am just getting used to the Synchron Player - it's much easier to navigate than the previous interface! I spotted that you were using a Korg nanoKontrol2 to operate the sliders and have bought one. I'm having great difficulty in setting it up to work with the setup. I dropped Paul at VSL a line who recommended a good video to watch to set it up (Ghostwriter David), but having followed his step by step instructions, I'm still only getting random results! Paul recommended that I drop you a line too. I'd really appreciate if you could help me in any way with this and how best to contact you? Best wishes.

@@tmiles21able Hi Terry, apologies - I’ve just spotted your message. The Korg was a complete nightmare to setup initially; downloading all the recommend software etc. In the end, none of it was necessary - all I do now every time is to boot the Korg up in CC mode (it’s simple enough - it’s in the instructions). I then right click the controller in the Synchron Player and click ‘Learn’, then move the slider on the Korg that I want it assigned to. What you’ll notice is the CC number appears to change in the interface, but in fact it just doesn’t i.e. CC 7 may change to 1 in the interface (depending which slider you’ve selected), but in reality it doesn’t - if you checkout your Event List in Logic, you’ll see CC7 data. I hope this helps. Best,,Stephen
Hey! In that case, I'd say: What you are waiting for? 🙂 You really can't go wrong with our web shop as we always offer a 14 days refund option, in case you are not happy. Best, Andreas/VSL
Woowww, killer! It looks the playability is amazing! The tone is also very good! Very well done on the video very clear! Some of your amazing short composition for this one soon? My wallet hurts! :-) 👏👏👏
Dear Alex! You can hear some of my demo for Synchron Solo Strings, "Scherzo Miniature", in the background at the beginning and at the end of this video. Now, a video about it ? Boy... Never thought of that ... 😉😉😉
Goodness me, when you play without vibrato (at 2:26) it sounded much more realistic. So I suppose, vibrato is still the most difficult thing to sample. Probably because vibrato it's not just about changing the speed, but also about changing the sound of every note. Vibrato, as it is samples now, still sounds too mechanical, adding an annoying artificial reverb/chorus effect to the sound.
And having a progressive, out of phase vibrato, right ? Eh, I know the feeling, trust me ... But still I've been blown away by these solo strings. And VSL knew very well we all were waiting for them. ;-)
The samples are great but you have to play them properly. You have to understand how a string instrument works! You are playing it like a keyboarder not like a cello- or violin player. But you have to! Without all the real time dynamic and expression controls it sounds artificial and odd to me!
The most realistic solo strings I've ever heard, and I have lots of them.

finally vsl released a solo violin (and it's better then a lot of what I've heard/had)❤

This has been a gift from Vienna, they knew I've been waiting for this a loooooong time - so I got to present the Solo Strings 😉😉😉
