As a retired engineer I used this video today. I had a temperature controlled heat gun set to about 70c and gave it about 10 minutes but still struggled with the back. Once off it was plain sailing except when I removed the internal speaker which I managed to split. No problem a new one is only £2.49 and on the way. The adhesive tape for the back is a bit stretched and deformed but I can sort that. Overall a great video which saved me loads. Thankyou.

I got a few cracks in my screen and really love this phone and rather not replace the phone as I've only had it for less then 4 months so I'm gonna replace the screen.
Hi Ben, I replaced the screen and the phone worked great for a few hours. All of a sudden, the screen is faded (like a white film over the display) with flickering horizontal lines.
Recently i have changed screen of Samsung A50. All thing are working well but Ear Speaker not working. I cant hear anything from Ear Speaker. I have recheked all the connections and all are ok. Hard reset will be the solution?
Thanks, this was very helpful. However the fingerprint scener is not recognizing my print. I tried to delete my print to get another scan but the system won't let me. Instead a message pops up saying that the fingerprint scanner needs to be calibrated. I tried to find help on Google & apparently this is a common issue.
i fell and now my a50s screen is black. and wont show, it still works but the screen dont wanna turn on. how do i fix this and is it gonna be expensive to fix?
Where do you buy the screen.? There a guy wants to charge me 250 dollar to put a new screening and my sound cuts in and out he wants 60for that. I could not do this too many steps to remeber
I found just found out because i decided to do my own repair that the last shop i took my phone to didnt put the screws back for the mother and sister board. ugh
So, I replaced a screen on an a50. It worked fine for a few days and now it doesn't respond to touch at all. I opened it back up and triple checked all of the connections. Am I missing something or should I buy another screen again?
bro i just threw it and the screen is not working but the phone is on getting charged and recieving calls but the screen is not showing anything its blank but sometimes show some rainbow colors what to do now
what if What if I install a Galaxy A30 screen instead of a Galaxy A50 screen regardless of the fingerprint feature that I don't want? Knowing that both screens are the same size and type.
@Don Quixote there is two ways of fixing it. One is from front one is from the back that's what I tried to mean. Watch multiple fixing guides u will see what I mean
My 3 mnth old A50 fell into the loo. Despite pulling it out immediately water damage had occurred. Samdung's solution? Not economic to repair, buy a new phone. Arseholes!!! I did some research and bought a new subboard for £14.00 and fixed the problem myself. Result Samdung is over for me....their customer service sucks!!!

all of the adhesive peeled off the back cover as I took it off. What should I now use to stick it back down?

Yes just go from a bit higher up or use a lower setting.
