Ola, I bought my amp after watching your Dark Terror demo videos, I checked the maxon odx in your TS comparison video before buying it, I've been binge-watching your FAQ playlist the whole past week and I just bought a Solar. Dude, you're ruining my life. Or making it better maybe, I honestly can't tell. Anyway, great idea: why don't you censor your f-words with clips of your burps? Recycling's always good, man! P.S. If you were born in England, do you think your name would have been Ola Swedun?
I just wanted to thank you for all for content you provide for free on your channel. I just started to get semi-serious about my own channel and it is an INCREDIBLE amount of work needed just to keep uploading videos. thank you!
My pro strategy to fight morning laziness is as soon as I wake up, I browse my phone for a cool video to watch, it kinda wakes me up and then I get up and do morning things while watching. It really helps. Sometimes it's even Ola videos. Incredible.
I was close to tears, thanks for having me on this FAQ, keep it going Master 😭🤧🙌🏼, I always talk to people about you and how inspiring you're as a business man, musician and parent, and they really are blown away with what you achieved, I’m really up to work hard to make something with music and make it a second career, or maybe make it a main, and, again, thank you, i really appreciate it so much 🙈 (btw i subscribed since the early FAQ vids and almost watched every amp/gear video xdxdxd)
All the effort on the channel is definitely noticeable, love the videos and you've been a huge help to me and a ton of others in terms of guitar playing and gear!
Ola, thanks for taking my request in the last Q&A. I stick around for the music, but admittedly the belching is pretty nice too. I read through the comments a bit and I'd agree with the idea of using burps to censor any cursing you do.
Hi Ola, a while ago on a live feed you congratulated me and my wife announcing I was going to be a dad again, it made our day, a week ago today my daughter was born, I'm over the moon, but my wife has been ill since giving birth but now on the mend. Would you wish her a speedy recovery? It'll cheer her up immensely. Thanks for all the videos you do, I've been out of playing for years, but you've inspired me to dig the axes out once more. All the best to you and your family. Cheers. 🤘
Hey Ola! Always a pleasure watching ALL your vids! Now that I've stroked your ego, lol. I feel as though I have hit a stone wall with my guitar playing, in that I can't seem to get any better. Have you ever felt this way? What did you do to keep on going?
Hey Ola! Greetings from Bergen, Norway. I am a 42 years old left handed guitar player and I have to say that we really have enough left handed super strats in the world. What we need is more left handed pointy guitars. Would you consider to make left handed versions of Type E and Type V?
Thomas Dyrc I'm 36 and this year I just got my sweeps on par. I set my goal for 2018 to work on legato sticato picking and sweep arpagios. I really accomplished the sweeps. I been slacking on legatos and staccatos 👍🤘💩🤘
Hi Ola, Watching the FAQ and just heard the question from Thomas Duyck about being to late/old to start guitar. I was in the same boat. Started at 16 then stopped playing for a little over 10 years. I just recently started up again a year ago at 36. I'm still not great but love playing. Have a hard time trying to learn a lot of the technical stuff like scales and what not. And getting a good practice routine. Thanks for the great content Ola.
Hi Ola! I’ve been following you’re channel for a while and love the content. Keep it up. I’ve listened to some Feared and The Haunted in passing, but want to get into both of them more. What is a good starting point for a newcomer to your bands? Cheers!
the first amp I had was a Peavy. I forget what model but it was a solid state. I loved how it sounded. after that I traded it for a Hughes & kettner. first electric guitar i had was a white Yamaha rgx 112 that I later painted black.
I love to start All my sunday morning with the Ola's FAQ!! A question for your next video: do you prefer the cable plug or the wireless plug for your Guitar recording or live situation? Do you think that there are quality differences between this two devices? Thank you so much for everything, you're Great!!
Ola, greetings from Seattle, WA. Any plans on doing any clinics or tours in the Pacific Northwest in 2019? Keep on having fun man, your channel is one of my favorites on RUclips 🤘
Hey Ola, I had a lot of fun watching your gaming live streams. It would be really cool if you could find the time to do that again. I love your videos. Keep it up, Ola!
Hey, Ola! I love the Haunted's track 'Abysmal'. Why don't you guys play this song live? The reason is that it was written by another singer of the band, or something else? I hope that you'll play it someday! Cheers!
Hi Ola Quick question for you - is it better for us to stream your albums from Amazon/spotify or whatever or buy them outright? I have a bunch of Feared and The Haunted albums in my stream and I listen to them all the time - they are excellent!
IKEA! Hey Ola, my girlfriend and I are sitting in IKEA right now, she turned to me and asked if the Swedes love IKEA as much as we do, if not more in some sort of weird way. As an avid fan of the show and your the only Swede I can think of you are left to answer this! Thanks Alan. (X ;)
Hej Ola! You are one the youbers where I let the commerical roll to give my tiny bit of support. I wonder what you think about Rammstein and are you going to their show in Stockholm next summer?
2B mousepad eh? I see you're a man of culture as well. I don't know if I'm remembering this incorrectly, but you're going to NAMM this year right? I'm pretty sad I can't go this year, Anaheim is my hometown and I've been looking forward to going when you'd be making an appearance and of course it's the year I decide to move to Chicago. My question is, do you ever plan on having a booth at NAMM or other similar music trade shows for Solar Guitars in the future?
Hey Ola! My husband watches your channel and I have enjoyed watching as well. I have never been to Scandinavia, but have been interested in visiting for a long time. What would you say are the main differences between all of the countries in Scandinavia? Thanks!
Hey Ola, I'm a long time subscriber and have been a member from the start. I really enjoy the amount of material you put out and the quality of it. Perhaps you've already addressed this in a previous FAQ, but why is the Satan amp produced by Randall and not by Fortin? Did Mike maybe not want to produce two similar amps, since the Satan is basically a modified Natas? And did he license or sell the Satan design to Randall?
Hi Ola! What kind of building do you live in if your neighbors can stand it? I guess the walls are quite thick and solid, great job on the music and channel btw
Hello Ola! I can't seem to find any other musician in my area who wants to play death metal like I do. I made some online collaborations with people from all around the world, but it's not the same thing as playing live. Any advice? I've already composed a lot of songs, but I'm not able to make a good mix / mastering myself and I'm afraid that everything will be lost over time. If I get to play live, I'll buy a Solar for sure as my main axe ☺. Thanks for what you do, it's a neverending source of inspiration.
Hello, Ola! You have an incredible talent, business-mind, and live every day doing what you love. We are all proud of you! Wish I could shake your hand. Such an inspiration. Keep it up! +1
Tjena Ola, I'm looking to get a small compact gig setup and I was wondering if the Mooer Pre Amp live would be a good option? Would you need to pair it with a Radar or anything else in that case? Hare gött mvh, Alex
Hey Ola, I noticed between FAQ's this week, you managed to squeeze in 5 videos, that's awesome, Thank you for creating content for us, my question is, how far in advance are your ideas for videos?
Hey Ola, I'm training my ear to learn my favourite songs, but in order to advance in the future, do you think that at some point it is necessary to get into musical theory? If so, what is in your opinion, the basics that a musician "must know"? Thanks!
Hi, Ola! What do you think of Celtic Frost/Triptykon? Would you ever consider doing a tone video of them? Love your videos man! Im here every Sunday morning watching
A few years back I went to a friend and family thing of some people I went to high school with, and one of my best friend's dads had started playing guitar because he loved all the "grunge" bands that all of us kids had listened to. So this fifty+ year old man is rocking out odd-time Soundgarden stuff after a year or so of playing. Growing up I remember going out to their farm and there were always records of classical music or tapes of the Tragically Hip. That one little interaction got me interested in playing guitar again because I realized I missed it. Like, I had always kept up with newer music and all of that, but I had a guitar in a case in a closet that I hadn't played in 10 years. I sucked at it, and I still suck at it. I am a very slow learner. But damn, is it ever more fun than having that guitar sit in its case.
Hey Ola, you have demoed some of the solid state classics like the rg100ht, x2, 8100, etc. Have you tried or heard the Ampeg Vh-140c? After trying many amps, It is still one of my favorite amps (including tube amps) of all time.
Hi Ola! What are your thoughts on other Swedish bands like Grave, The Project Hate etc.? Also I’ve seen your 6505+ demo video but what are your actual thoughts on the amp itself?
Hey Ola..You mentioned that you have a Mac Mini.. I am in the process of upgrading my 10 year old Mac Pro. Curious how the mini can handle Logic and stuff like Addictive Drums2....Could you please give us a quick screen shot of your Mac mini specs? I know you said women only questions, but f*#k that... haha this is important!
Hey Ola quick question, I've seen both of your videos playing the Laney Ironheart, but what do you think of it? Is it as great as most people say it is?
Hi Ola, what do you think about playing Axe FX II thru a real Power Amp and a real cabinet? I love to play it like that, but i've heard many opinions it is a waste od Fractal features. What do you think?
Have asked for the SVART album for Christmas, fingers crossed. Also have you ever tried out the TC Electronic Sentry noise gate? Borrowing one at the moment to use on my Marshall 6100 with a Metalzone (old version). Highly impressed, would be good to see what you think of it in a "testing shit" vid?
The 32 year old guy who is left handed but tried to play right handed at 16, you're not too old. Also you tried a RH guitar and sucked, this time go for a lefty. They're more common these days and brands like LTD and Schecter have loads available at different prices.
lefthanded guitars are overrated. My guitar teacher is lefthanded but plays righthanded guitars. You will suck at both in the beginning because your hands need to learn movements they've never done before.
@@robinflick5516 How are left handed guitars over rated? Are you left handed yourself? Some left handed people can play right handed. Some can't. This guy tried. Now LH guitars are more common and more affordable. Bit of a stupid comment.
@@FunkyMonkey-ip4xy I'm not lefthanded but I know some that are both playing right and lefthanded guitars and I think that it doesn't really matter on whitch you learn. I don't have scientific prove for that but it's still difficult to just go to a store and find the lefty guitar of your dreams. And you can't just use a guitar from another person at like a campfire.
I'm left handed and play right handed guitars. I honestly think it's the rest of the world that got things backwards. I have my 'good hand' on the fret board! But ultimately one will need to learn some level of proficiency with both hands. There's just no way around it. As a bonus of me playing the same guitar orientation as everyone else, I can play my mates guitars and they can play mine. That translates into random jamming that wouldn't be possible otherwise. Also in the history of things that turned people away from learning to play an instrument, starting out with shitty gear takes the cake. That guy probably started out with some atrocious shit no one should ever have be exposed to. But quality especially in the lower price range have gone up significantly since his last try. And he likely has a bit more cash to play around with than he did then. I'd say go for it.
Tjena Ola! Feels great to see how well you're doing! I feel oddly proud of you, having seen your videos since you were doing those amp demos back in the day. Keep up the good work dude! No question here, just ass kissing.
Hola ola, do you recommend buying the boss katana 50? or any other amplifier in that price range to practice / play at home?... Greetings from Argentina🤘
FAQ QUESTION: whats your opinion on the kemper powerhead? and kemper in general? theirs seems to be a strong pull even by high end artists to kemper but some people are set with tube amps which is fine, its an expensive bit of kit be interested to hear your thoughts.
Hello from Aurora, Colorado. Love the channel, informative and frickin' hilarious. When you're making the brine for your mac n cheese do you use white or wheat flour? Thanks, -Zach
Was wondering, did traditional Swedish music somehow influenced you while growing up? You know like In Flames had Hårgalåten in their first record. Any suggestion on some good old Swedish stuff worth checking out? Love the content bro.
Hey Ola, how do you know how much gain to use when recording? A tone can sound great with a lot of gain by itself, but then sounds muddy and terrible in a mix. I’ve heard that it’s due to too much gain, but if I lower the gain I don’t like the tone by itself. What are your thoughts on this?
Ola, you should do an in-depth analysis on the gear used by the bands in the "BanG Dream! Girls Band Party" franchise. They're sponsored mostly by ESP but it'd be fun to see what you'd have to say.
Ola, how do you balance your home responsibilities with music stuff having your studio in your home? I am considering moving all my stuff to a storage unit to eliminate all distractions
Hi Ola long time subscriber, first time posting. I was just wondering if you would be doing any tremolo equiped 7 strings in the future? Thanks for the awesome videos keep them up.
First: Thank you for giving me more motivation to play and practice guitar, and reminding me to have fun while doing it! Love your videos... This channel is the only one I subscribe to where i watch every video! Q: Do you snus? Keep up the irony and burps.
Hi Ola! Are you planning on releasing a 7 string Solar with stainless steel frets in the "near future"? I just KNOW that I want a Solar (or two) in my collection. But I've had enough of those weak nickel frets dying too quickly from heavy riffage! ;-)
Hey Ola! Got my self a Katana 100 after watching your videos, love it but can you show how to dial in a killer metal tone using the factory settings only?
Hi Ola, I've been playing guitar since I was 15, and I think we're about the same age. I've started getting pretty bad arthritis in my left-hand over the last couple of years, I think because of the manual labour jobs I did when I was younger. Do you have, or have you heard of any techniques for practicing or playing that would help or at least not aggravate it? I don't want to stop playing but it's really causing my jamming or practicing to take a back seat to other hobbies that don't hurt my hand.
Hey Ola. I have been playing guitar since I was about 11 and it has been my goal to get as good as possible ever since then. My idols are Marty Friedman, Vinnie Moore, Randy Rhoads, etc. A few years back I had to switch to drums for my band Blood Curse because our drummer wouldn't stay out of trouble and it really sucks. I try to practice both, but it is so hard to balance. Drums is okay, but I love guitar, and I want to excell at it. It's just not the same and kinda bums me out to practice drums so much. Any suggestions on what I should do? Sorry for the novel. P.S. Burps=good. Don't let the turkies getchya down.
Ola I love my solar A6.1. I was wondering if you will make a Floyd Rose standard scale 7 string and also will you venture out further then Fishmans. I love the Moderns I have it in a LP. Just wondering bro. Keep those Axes sharp. Jeramiah and myself had a talk about the quality and both agree, there are no guitars on the market at that price that can even compete.
I have a great feeling about this one! SUBSCRIBE!
Ola did you play Nier: Automata? Because that anime ass is from that game
How do you organize your videos and tracks? Do you backup offsite?
finally devin townsend, i've been asking your opinion about him
whats that decibel meter that you use? I'd like to buy one
I'd like to see just how loud the police think I am
Hey ola, for your next FAQ how about Pantera-A New Level as riff of the day?
Ola, I bought my amp after watching your Dark Terror demo videos, I checked the maxon odx in your TS comparison video before buying it, I've been binge-watching your FAQ playlist the whole past week and I just bought a Solar. Dude, you're ruining my life. Or making it better maybe, I honestly can't tell.

Buy a flying V and swap the strings. Boom
I loved Rick Dangerous when I was younger :)
Tjena Ola!
Feels great to see how well you're doing! I feel oddly proud of you, having seen your videos since you were doing those amp demos back in the day. Keep up the good work dude! No question here, just ass kissing.
Hola, Ola. I just want to say you are an personal inspiration, love your videos, keep do what you do, bro. Keep up the burping
greetings from México.
Dudesy!!!! Love the channel and the charisma you bring to the community. Soilwork or In Flames?
Hey Ola did you ever play a old Kramer guitar just asking. Keep up the great work.
Oh hey, you actually said my last name right! Most people either say Fireman or Furman, so kudos to you! Love you and everything you do Ola!
FREEDOM! Great videos Ola! Love the reviews.
Hi Ola!
What are your thoughts on collecting vinyl records? If you have any, can you show us?
Female only FAQ?.. ^my wife asked this question then..
Hi!! I might be nitpicking..but when sitting down playing, which leg should the guitar rest? Left or right?
Hi Ola, Hope everything is fine man!
What's your opinion on Celtic Frost?
Great job! Cheers
I love this channel! keep up the great work! Greetings from germany
Hey Ola! My husband introduced me to your videos. I dont know a single thing about guitars but I love your FAQs anyway. Also, big fan of the burps! 👍
Hi Ola ! All I want for chrismas is a purple Solar A2.6, because purple guitars are life. Do you think purple Solars will ever been available?
First: Thank you for giving me more motivation to play and practice guitar, and reminding me to have fun while doing it! Love your videos... This channel is the only one I subscribe to where i watch every video!
Q: Do you snus?
Keep up the irony and burps.
Ola! Thank you for making great content! Finally subscribed. FAQ: what are some favorite bands/artists of yours outside of metal?
Hi ola ! Is there any possibility of seeing some new solar guitars with those fancy roasted maple necks ?
Hola Ola, I fully intended on buying an artist solar v, but I bought a PRS custom 24 instead..... Not a question I know, I'm just showing off 😁
Ola I love my solar A6.1.
Merry Christmas!
Hi Ola, we all know DT is one of your favorite bands. What is your opinion on current James Labrie's voice condition / live perfomance?
Greetings Ola, what are your thoughts on instrumental bands like Blotted Science? Do you think there is a future for the instrumental metal movement?
