      Do you think he's Flemish and learned French? He sounded like me speaking French, and my flavor of American English is heavily influenced by the Dutch and Low German immigrants who came here, on top of English's existing linguistic ties to the Low Countries.

    Very good way of interacting with the material. Hearing native French people speak and seeing the attendant subtitles helps with comprehension considerably!

    Hi there. Thanks a lot for making EASY FRENCH possible. This video on interviewing people in Nice was cool because I was able to work on my listening skills which I have lost a lot of over the years and I was able to learn some new words. Furthermore , it made my decision to visit Nice next year in May a whole lot more determined. Je suis trés content avec le video. Merci beaucoup mes amis. Hasta luego. Namaskar. Alvida.

    I learned only written French and what should have been "Je ne suis pas" - sounded to me just like « ʃpa » (IPA)
    Is this common? I would have never guessed it if not for the subtitles...

    • @soygeorel8076
      @soygeorel8076 9 лет назад +2

      In informal french, they dont usually say 'ne' when negating just the 'pas'. Je ne suis pas - Je suis pas they're the same. If french people speak fast Je suis pas becomes 'chuipas'

    Excusez moi mais je pense pour la femme agée (1:43), la traduction écrite n'est pas correct. Ils auraient du écrire "née" au lieu de "né" car elle est une dame.
    Sorry but the correct written translation for the older who was born in Nice (1:43) is "née" because she's a woman.

      Pour la correction : "Merci pour ces vidéos. J'apprends le français et ça m'aide beaucoup.
      Aujourd'hui, j'ai appris plein de choses!"
      Pour t'expliquer tes erreurs, en fait le pluriel de "cette", c'est "ces". :) Et en français on utilise beaucoup le passé composé, d'où le "j'ai appris", "j'appris" renvoie à un passé plus lointain et à une action ponctuelle.

    00:20 someone tell me if I am wrong but the interviewer seems to pronounce "ce serait pour savoir" as "ce serait": "sesri" and "pour savoir" as "pusaor," in other words "serait" loses a syllable and a diphthong, "pour" also loses a diphthong and "savoir" loses its central consonant.

    Hello dear
    Your videos are really awesome and informative. You people are doing a great job by discussing new topics everytime in a very creative and interesting manner
    Really helpful but I would like to point one thing that please be slow in talking as for new learners its bit difficult to catch the pronunciation as well as to read the english text as the text also disappears very fast .
    Thanks

      I've practised academic French for four years. I can tell you right now they are alot slower in my head than 4 years ago. You'll feel the same thing. What i suggest is listen to the WHOLE video clean then stop it in a second run for understanding. It's better to hear the full sentence structures.

    Je lis les commentaires des personnes qui ne peuvent pas comprendre le français, et ils doivent ralentir la vitesse du vidéo, et moi je ne le fais pas parce que je comprends presque tout, mais je dis à moi même tous les jours que mon français c'est de la merde. Ça me fait vraiment réfléchir sur l'idée que j'ai de moi même et de toutes les choses que j'ai réussi sans prendre un cours. Si vous vous trouvez dans la même situation, ne vous découragez pas, mes ami. Parfois, nous ne rendons pas compte de ce que nous avons déjà.
