This is what happens when game companies STOP worrying about making good games and only worry about money. If you make good games the money will follow...not the other way around.
I believe the industry is experiencing saturation. I'm about 40 now and I remember when I was young it was pretty rare to have a 10 out of 10 come out. And now I'm backlogged on at least 20 masterpieces probably more like a hundred. I have enough games downloaded to last years. Late cycle, broski.
You know what’s worse than DEI in gaming? Watching the Dreamcast guy 😂, the first Spider-Man game was way better IMO, I mean helping to ask a guy to prom for another guy? I played SM2 till I got to the part where I'm going around the house looking at my ugly girlfriend and picking up/throwing away garbage, then your friend who shows up with a cane and then all the sudden doesn't need it and you go to the high school and that whole boring ass part. When Microsoft said they were going to make it that you could not trade games and that you need a license to play your game I was done with the company. This happen before the release of Xbox ONE. So none of this is surprising, they are not a gaming company. They Just want the money

A couple reasons that Star Field sucked, They want you to have super good hardware to play it, nowhere near everyone could play it, for PC. Every time you travel you're a in a loading screen and on top of all that the characters and animation sucked. I don't think the game pass has changed much in the last year. A few new titles. Its like they aren't even trying anymore.
They're not. Series X here is the last system. They don't want to spend money on putting out physical anything anymore because it doesn't fit the all digital, you own nothing agenda. They will all do this eventually. They're trying to do it slowly so no one notices as much, but they're drooling over the money that can be made from another level of media/entertainment control, they can barely contain themselves.
Hence these nonsensical, ridiculous non-explanations the company is giving for every scum move they make.

Playstation has its own archetype and file system. It's a first party title so that is ultimately the countries fault for not having access to psn network. And alot of them counties block the access to Sony themselves. It needs psn to use multi-player servers

Sony has games on Steam right now that have multiplayer but don't require a PSN account. Heck, Helldivers 2 is one of them. lol
So no, a PSN account isn't needed for Sony first-party games to be multiplayer. Sony just wants to sign people up to PSN so they can show the investors that people are signing up to PSN. So, it's Sony's fault if Ghost of Tsushima doesn't sell nearly as well on PC as it could without the PSN requirement.

Why hasn't spending spurred, mainly because people aren't stuck inside so, logically speaking spending on gaming on subscription are going to go down, that's why subscription services aren't make 5%+ in terms of subscription money.
You have to know you are deceiving someone to deceive them.
So everyone's saying we gotta ditch PS and Xbox from now on (if they even continue with consoles beyond another gen or two and don't go PC clients as well) and head to PC instead...I say that's NOT enough. Not only should people boycott those consoles but they should also make sure Microsoft doesn't get any wins by refusing to buy Microsoft PCs as well and the devs who care about fans/their work/have integrity should also ditch developing for Microsoft too (even if it may be easier which is the only real reason I can see why so many games may not have anything besides Mircrosoft support...granted could also be rather than easier on Mircrosoft it may be just more expensive to go to PC OS besides Microsofts...I'm not a PC gamer (yet...haven't bought current consoles but if the games I want come out on PS4/Switch I'll grab on there as I already have the consoles since i bought them before Sony started their BS around 2016/17. Thankfully PS5 games don't have a must have game for me right now so don't have any real desire to buy one anytime soon, if at all (if I bought one at this point it may be a physical disc version for my PS4 games (mainly stuck to console cause I prefer physical media...they can't take it away as easily after all) and that's about it as my PS4 has been showing some issues lately...may as well just buy another PS4 though if I can find one in good condition)).
Microsoft may not care about Xbox but if a successful boycott happened to all Microsoft OS the company would likely be completely screwed and actually rethink this BS like Bud Lite is now after their stupid BS with Mulvaney's promo a year ago. Granted hoping enough people will actually join in and stick with such a boycott is probably a pipe dream (especially the idea game enough game devs and the casual audience that doesn't pay attention to what these companies are doing would join in).

I only had gamepass when I got 6 months for $9. For that price it was worth it to play and beat Shredder's Revenge and a few other easy gamea for achievements. At $15+ a month though hell no the service ain't worth it. Call of Duty isn't the same powerhouse that the franchise was during the PS3/360 era of gaming. Modern AAA gaming has been awful this gen and I sadly got low hopes for Stalker 2 because I fear the game is gonna just be infused with ukraine war propaganda instead of being faithful to the source material and focusing on exporation.

One point everyone is overlooking is yes Microsoft lose 70 dollar sales of cod if it goes into gamepass. But the potential trade off could be gamepass could potentially see a huge increase in subs if it draws ps players to the service to play cod rather than spending 70 - 100 dollars to play, so it really depends on how many it could draw over 🤷♂️ and for how long of course.
It wouldn't be worth it. At best, COD would raise Game Pass to 50 million subs (it's at 30 million now). Microsoft needs 90 million subs by 2027 to make Game Pass even begin to be sustainable. What game would get that extra 40 million subs that they'd need? Nothing. The only other heavy-hitters are GTA6 and Mario Kart, and those games aren't going to Game Pass. So, they'd be pushing Game Pass to a slower death while losing all the money they could make from COD. The investors would definitely not want that.
PlayStation owners would need to buy an Xbox or PC to benefit from gamepass. That is why no one is bringing that point up.
@RazielTheUnborn you don't need an xbox or PC to play gamepass, you just need an xbox controller and the gamepass app on your Samsung smart tv to play gamepass games. Though tbf you would be playing them via the cloud so it wouldn't be the optimal way to play, and i don't see many ppl doing that. But nonetheless you can play without either an xbox or PC.

If publishers didn't have such scummy greedy practices (over priced broken games at release predatory mtx etc etc) gamers would have no problem supporting games after release, if you want an example just look at Warframe gamers throw money at DE because they care about their customers plain and simple and if Helldivers follows the same path if will be successful too, but Sony is in the way there. Sony and MicroScum should have just stayed in the manufacturing business instead of trying to make shit games with shity code.

Personally I'm a PS gamer simply because Sony has way way more J games and single player games than Xbox.
I'm really hoping Xbox rebounds big. Both companies are having issues but Xbox is having more issues overall. Having good healthy competition can only help the gaming world. This forces both Sony and MS to push for better and better things. If one gets far ahead, they tend to get lazy or greedy or both and that hurts gamers.

I’ll never buy an Xbox game ever again. The reason is because I bought the new Ark Ascended and because I bought it on Xbox, I am not allowed to max out the graphics even when playing on my PC. I have a maxed out PC and the game looks as stupid on PC as it does on Xbox. Big waste of money.
Still enjoy playing games on my Xbox been a fan since the original and I am not worried it, give it time everything will work itself out

PS5 and Nintendo are the kings for console and exclusives I own both. I sold my series X ,and now I own a 4090 pc rig if your able to afford it PCs the best way to play. It’s just much easier to use console if console is your go to get PlayStation, unless you like Nintendo more. Or just get them all, that’s what I did pc for everything and pc gamepass for Xbox gaming and the other 2 for the best exclusives
