I started playing rdr2 when it was first released, i was busy with life and work and really couldn't dive into it. Then last year i decided to start all over again, completely invested in the story and characters....then stopped playing because i didnt want it to end...picked it back last week and on chapter 6....this isnt a game, its an experience....nothing and i mean nothing like it, cant be duplicated, class of its own, a true masterpiece.
Some kid in TikTok comments that hasn’t played it said “you’re weird for crying over a game, it’s not real” I then replied “real art is supposed to make you feel. No different from a film or music piece. RDR2 is not just a video game. It truly is an experience.”

When you play for the first time and you get to Chapter 6, it really breaks your heart and you’re just there wondering when did you started to care so much for this characters. The fact that this game is able to inspire others to live more a honorable life, wanting to do the right things and wanting to be nice to others and take care of the people you love speaks volumes of what an amazing experience this is. There’s more depth in side quests than the entire AC Mirage storyline which I already forgot about even though is a more recent release.
I just finished chapter 6 on my 1st play through, that's the best experience of a movie, book or game ever. So glad I switched to my temporary horse for the ending. 🐎 I bet everyone remembers how they felt at the end. 😢

Absolutely amazing. I have seen many spoilers and so far I am trying to play the best chapter 2 that I can. When I think about which horse I might take on the last mission….. I’m playing this again now on my SeriesX. It still amazes me how this game was made in 2018 and yet still looks and plays as good as it does. Better than anything made after it.
I love how the player can definitely tell that Rockstar gave it their all when it came to this game. Nearly everything from the emotional story, the immersive open-world, the banger soundtrack, and the brilliant writing of the characters, you can just feel the love everyone who worked on it had for what they were making. Although the gameplay is still outdated and clunky in my opinion, it's still a phenomenal game that everyone should experience the heartfelt tale of Arthur Morgan and his struggles with his outlaw life and attempt at redemption atleast once. It's one of my favourite games of all time and I can totally understand why some people may think it's the best game of all time. This was a really nice video, you're pretty damn underrated dude!
FANTASTIC video, I just need to commend you on the quality of the work you put into this. One of the things i love about RDR 2 is that the entire game world is so gorgeous, that you could take a screenshot at any time, anywhere in the game world, and it would look like a gorgeous oil painting. I don’t know how many times I rode around in game and just stopped to admire the surroundings, and thought to myself, “I feel like I’m existing in a Bob Ross painting right now.” I’m glad you made the comparison with Ubisoft because I have always done the same, and what really pisses me off about Ubisoft is I genuinely believe they have it in them to create games and game worlds at least SOMEWHAT close to what Rockstar does, they just don’t do it. If they focused on releasing less games and put more time and effort into each one, even if they don’t reach the level of RDR 2 or GTA IV and V, I do believe they could create unbelievable experiences. But they would rather focus on short term financial goals instead. But also just like you pointed out, in the long run, Rockstar still wins even in that regard. Because there’s no doubt that when GTA VI releases, it will earn more than all 68 of those Ubisoft titles. People love to talk a lot of shit about Take Two, and much of it is definitely deserved, but I commend them for their hands off approach with Rockstar. They have always just left them alone to do what they do best, and I think that kind of trust is amazing, and especially rare in the world of corporations as big as Take Two is.

Well I would say one big thing is that I can actually run RDR2 online or offline without constant stuttering and crashing. To me one of the best things about the game is how good it looks and how Rockstar actually optimized the game. I jump into every other triple A game these days and it either runs at 20 FPS with stuttering or will run at 40-70 FPS then just stutter and crash randomly. You pretty much HAVE to run FSR or Nvidia image scaling because devs just refuse to optimize now. In the past they didn't always optimize the best but now it's gotten to a point where 90% of people's hardware struggles and it seems like the Devs aren't even trying to fix these problems they're just putting an AI image scaling bandaid over a festering stab wound.

Speaking of immersion… You can’t help from getting sucked into this game or “immersed” if you just play the story mode for 20-40 hours. I play this game daily and will continue indefinitely. I always thought xbox360 Skyrim was my favorite game, but the original RDR set the stage. RDR2 was the coup de grâce. It has set a standard that all other RPGs will be judged.
yea, RDR2 is the best, modded skyrim on PC is pretty great too but no one can quite do it like rockstar games. Honestly, I foresee that after gta6 releases, rockstar will take the number 6 spot on largest gaming companies, they will sit right under Nintendo. It could become the biggest selling game of all time.
I just can’t get over how amazing the framing is with this game. It looks so picturesque and real at all times even after 6 years. The fact that Gta6 is coming out 7 after this game has me buggin’ out. It’s going to be RDR2 but somehow better?? The framing of walking down Vice City / driving boats in crystal clear water / walking into stores / that fully realized image of a breathing living city and state is going to look incredible!
My only pet peeve was when he got TB I knew he was doomed which kinda sucked for me anyway but when he finally did go it didn’t really hit me as hard as John Marsden in RDR1 man that broke me
Alot of people I talk to think the game is overated especially at launch. It is very flawed but I swear to god it is one of THE best video games I have ever played. Probably my 4th favorite
I would recommend red dead as something where we could learn a lot about our history (re-live history) and how we came to be, than a game to be played, its like a mini-feature film which you could live through. Earlier we could watch movies over television or theatre, now finally we can actually participate as a protagonist of a western film.
Fully agree brother i got platinum for Ghost of Tsushima in 2020 and i still play Legends tday its a beautiful game Red Dead is the best game ever released imo tho.
I used to smoke a bowl and wander round the open world in this game when it released, utterly and completely immersed. Eventually, real life got in the way, and since then I’ve got married, become a father, and work two jobs with very little time to meander in video games. So I put RDR2 down, for almost 5 years. But, when I found out that if I downloaded it on PS5 I could pick up where I left off, I did. And in a feat of great timing, I’ve picked up an illness that means I have to stay home for three days and take it easy whilst my wife and child head off to Ireland. That means I’m spending my weekend in the Wild West. I can’t wait to see my old friend Arthur again.
@@ProScrood thanks bud. Totally agree with you on immersion as a factor in the ‘goodness’ of games, by the way. People can make light of that as you alluded to, but it’s true, depending on the game. In a game like RDR2, the immersion is as important as any game mechanic. It’s also why people describe it as being ‘more than a game and more like an experience’. Although that’s kinda vague, because everything is an experience, I know what they’re getting it. It’s like a Time Machine where simply existing in the world can be as fun as doing any side-quest, or any story mission. There’s not many games that can lay claim to that, as your video describes. You’ve earned a sub my brother. It’s because of people like you that I’ve come back to Red Dead Redemption 2.
the only company that could hold their own against rockstar is naughty dog. no other company besides rockstar had hit after hit after hit and all their games are great in quality (uncharted, the last of us and even jak and daxter)
I just can't play anything else now... and it's sad, in a way... because I've paid for these other games that just don't match up. I understand that RDR3 will probably be out in 5 or 6 years and I wonder if I"ll even be gaming them (I'm a much older older game, so don't tell anybody). But I love this game. I just keep going to chapter 4 and start all over again. I have played it through totally twice but I'm not crazy about chapter 5 or 6 and don't like the epilogues. So I ask myself the question: Is this it for me? I can't even imagine playing assassins creed mirage or hogwarts.... not now... I've been too spoiled. It's sad and amazing at the same time. I so appreciate your videos honoring this game because it makes me not feel so alone in it. No one else my age is playing video games (or a video game now) so I have no one to talk to about how great this game is. That's why I appreciate you so much. Thank you.
Considering that every GTA is pretty much the same dull generic experience, and some even consider the old ones being better than the newer ones, there's zero certainty that GTA 6 will surpass RDR2 in anything except maybe visuals. RDR2 is just another beast, it was so ahead of its time, the immersion is out of this world. I'm having a hard time seeing this type of world and experience being presented in GTA 6, unless Rockstar adds huge amount of pure inspiration from RDR2 into GTA 6 as a way to attract the RDR audience or try to re-capture the magic. RDR2 is just something else, GTA maybe be insanely popular, but is never talked about in the same way as RDR2.
You keep talking up immersion, buddy. It’s what I play for. I just spent a 6 hour session hanging around inside 300 square feet, talking to street vendors, going to the theatre, visiting the magic lantern show, listening to street buskers, playing dominos and poker, totally ignoring the story. You just can’t do that in other games.
lol, funny I just reinstalled RDR2 today after years. Was thinking about it randomly and missed just riding around in the open world. All solid points.
i wish bethesda would be able to create the same quality of games as rockstar does. they spend several years developing their games, but they are still nowhere near rockstar quality. a rockstar fallout game would be my dream.
I played Assassins Odyssey for 100+ hours. Then I discovered RDR2... months later I tried going back to Odyssey for 5 minutes but couldn't play further. The RDR2 quality bar has ruined every other RPG I try 😂
I think the closest a game has come to RDR2 quality is The Last of Us 2 and the remake. Immersion and quality are Naughty Dog's cup of tea, too. But overall, yeah Rockstar is untouchable.
I’m in the same boat dude. Rdr2 ruined me. The movement and the horse riding is a joke in elden ring. I have a bone to pick with so many games because they just do not have a stance at all compared to rdr2
Ummm idk. Some npc behaviour is advanced and the game looks nice but imo the world of ac origins and witcher 3 are far superior. Esp origins for some reason. Ubisoft is pretty good at making open world designs for all the shiz the get. RDR 2 however to me is a story and theme heavy game.and man that ending was 💔 Edit:imo ghost of tsushima on pc as my first playthrough was a 7/10. Great looking world but a dead world. Idk how come people criticize ubi for the game design when tsushima is same as that. I just hope ac returns to former glory some day.a guy can dream.
GTA & Red Dead has completely ruined games for me in a way that nowadays I can’t even enjoy any other game because I can’t stop comparing the quality to RDR2/GTA. Despite Rockstar having a great track record in terms of quality, I’m STILL worried about GTA VI.
Rdr2 falls short in its incredibly restrictive main line missions, clunky controls and too much realism (taking 2 minute to loot cupboards) I love it but games like Ragnarok are neck and neck because of these faults.
Rdr is so much better than GTA and I love GTA I grew up with it but GTA v is ass. And if you like rdr and you think God of war is good, play Days Gone. Days Gone and Ghost of Tsushima are the best exclusives on Playstation and the most deserving of sequels
Rdr2 is great but i m mad with Rockstar. Because Rdr2 online. I love it but i get nothing to do anymore. And i go angry if wie become the same Halloween pass again. So i will always lovd Rdr2. But i m done with Rockstar.
As good as the game is, no DLC especially for John Marston. The epilogue doesn't count as it's part of the base game. No cosmetic add-ons because the game is forcing you to play online. It would add tones of replay value for story mode players hence it's a cash grab GTA v online style. No events or new missions (DLC) like more bounty missions would be nice. sadly because of GTA VI rumored to be released in 2025 its almost guaranteed 🪨⭐ won't prioritize any new content as they'll want to milk 🍼🥛 shark 🦈 💳 cards for GTA VI online players Then they'll probably get around to making RDR3 before RDR 2 has anything new literally happens in RDR 2 No offense but just because other games aren't as pretty doesn't mean they're not as good. The fan service & DLCs make up for this in other games. Just look at the Witcher 3 DLC blood and wine, arguably the best DLC for any game ever produced. They added the Netflix armor & added a whole storyline mission for it. Secondly fallout 4 just got a next generation update because of fallout 4 live action series. Bringing players back to fallout 4. Again as good as RDR 2 is, it actually fails incredibly when it comes to fan service. The replay value isn't as good as some other games. I honestly don't know how many times I can sit through watching Arthur die good or bad. It's honestly depressing. You can bet RDR 2 will probably never have any new story mode content because of GTA VI & a possible RDR 3. Hence people will eventually stop playing RDR 2 altogether. And even then RDR 3 probably won't have any story mode content because all the pretty cosmetics will be online only. Just like GTA v cosmetics are all online exclusive
Playing again. Just got passed chapter 2. Going stay there for ever. This and Ghost of Tsushima will probably be the last of the great games out there that are not poisoned with WOKE AIDS.

yea, RDR2 is the best, modded skyrim on PC is pretty great too but no one can quite do it like rockstar games. Honestly, I foresee that after gta6 releases, rockstar will take the number 6 spot on largest gaming companies, they will sit right under Nintendo. It could become the biggest selling game of all time.
Breath of the Wild and Red Dead 2 are GOATED
For real 🙌
Breath of the wild should be called lord of the dance
I wish Rockstar would of updated the games for next gen consoles
Would be amazing 🙌
I just can’t get over how amazing the framing is with this game. It looks so picturesque and real at all times even after 6 years.
The fact that Gta6 is coming out 7 after this game has me buggin’ out. It’s going to be RDR2 but somehow better?? The framing of walking down Vice City / driving boats in crystal clear water / walking into stores / that fully realized image of a breathing living city and state is going to look incredible!
It’s going to be amazing for sure
I just restarted RDR2 yesterday and I’m doing a 1st person only play through 😊
Definitely a good way to re-experience it again for sure 🙌
My only pet peeve was when he got TB I knew he was doomed which kinda sucked for me anyway but when he finally did go it didn’t really hit me as hard as John Marsden in RDR1 man that broke me
I grew up playin as John, always a pain to see him go 😔
B.m.w is gonna Blow them out off the water with 200 devs on the first try
🙌

There hasnt been a better game since RDR2, its everything you want a game to be and more
Exactly 😁
Red Dead 2 feels like the top of the mountain. And everything else feels like the climb back down.
Very true 🙌
I would never leave red dead,if they made it 60 FPS on console
🤞
Same here 🙌
Fully agree brother i got platinum for Ghost of Tsushima in 2020 and i still play Legends tday its a beautiful game Red Dead is the best game ever released imo tho.
Exactly same here 🙌
How rockstar managed to make this for nearly a decade old hardware is just insanity. they set the bar so high with this game
That’s why it’s the best 🙌
Rockstar is the pinnacle of gaming, that's why.
Wukong & space marines 2 are good games. Red dead 2
is still the game to beat 🔥
Love this, I hope your playthough goes well 😁
@@ProScrood thanks bud.
Hope you may even find more time to play RDR2, have a great weekend man!
@@steelzepplin2012 thanks brother, appreciate that!
Now imagine if rockstar gave rdr2 a current gen version and actually worked on its online and cared for it like gta
That’s the dream 🙌
This!
the only company that could hold their own against rockstar is naughty dog. no other company besides rockstar had hit after hit after hit and all their games are great in quality (uncharted, the last of us and even jak and daxter)
Last of us 1 dlc and last of us 2 sucks though… hopefully gta 6 will not follow the way they did
Very true, great company 🙌
@@riftsalty7562 you are probably just homophobic aren't ya
I replayed this game so many times, each time is different
Exactly 🙌
RDR2 IS GOAT and last Ac i enjoyed playing was AC unity.
I loved AC Unity so much 🙌
I just can't play anything else now... and it's sad, in a way... because I've paid for these other games that just don't match up. Thank you.
Love this, I’m glad you enjoy the content. I’m happy my videos are offering something to people and there’s many more on the way 🙌
Im on my 3rd playthrough but this time Im playing with mods ( graphics ,sounds ,etc)
Mods definitely enhance it even more 🙌
Considering that every GTA is pretty much the same dull generic experience, and some even consider the old ones being better than the newer ones, there's zero certainty that GTA 6 will surpass RDR2 in anything except maybe visuals.
Exactly, rdr2 just feels entirely different 🙌
I'll drink to that. Cheers 🥃🥃
🥃
Days Gone. Go buy it people. It's rdr2 with dirt bikes.
Might have to 🙌
Hey mate your doing great yk that
Thanks so much I really appreciate 🙌
@@ProScrood welcome
You keep talking up immersion, buddy. It’s what I play for. I just spent a 6 hour session hanging around inside 300 square feet, talking to street vendors, going to the theatre, visiting the magic lantern show, listening to street buskers, playing dominos and poker, totally ignoring the story. You just can’t do that in other games.
What can I say, RDR2 is the pinnacle of immersive game development
W video, can’t wait to see if GTA 6 surpasses rdr2
We’ll have to see 🙌
I'm kinda surprised nobody talking about Kingdom Come Deliverance.... just wait for the sequel coming out this year... game of the year
KCD 1 for me is on same level as RDR 2, and KCD 2 will probably surpass it.
Yeah true, very great game. Very intrigued about the sequel 🙌
lol, funny I just reinstalled RDR2 today after years. Was thinking about it randomly and missed just riding around in the open world. All solid points.
Just an amazing game, have fun reinstalling it 🙌😁
i wish bethesda would be able to create the same quality of games as rockstar does. they spend several years developing their games, but they are still nowhere near rockstar quality. a rockstar fallout game would be my dream.
Anyone know why it’s soo dark with HDR on a ps5?
Unfortunately no
Rockstar is the only golden standard in gaming. It is the future. I’ll see all you future millionaires in GTA VI.
100%
I played Assassins Odyssey for 100+ hours. Then I discovered RDR2... months later I tried going back to Odyssey for 5 minutes but couldn't play further. The RDR2 quality bar has ruined every other RPG I try 😂
Not mentioning The Witcher as one of the best is criminal
Completely slipped my mind 😅 It’s a very great game too 🙌
I think the closest a game has come to RDR2 quality is The Last of Us 2 and the remake. Immersion and quality are Naughty Dog's cup of tea, too. But overall, yeah Rockstar is untouchable.
Very true 🙌
Yes, this game is brilliant, partner!
I’m in the same boat dude. Rdr2 ruined me. The movement and the horse riding is a joke in elden ring. I have a bone to pick with so many games because they just do not have a stance at all compared to rdr2
Exactly! It’s just too good 🙌
rdr2 is the mona lisa of gamming fans
Ummm idk. Some npc behaviour is advanced and the game looks nice but imo the world of ac origins and witcher 3 are far superior. Esp origins for some reason. Ubisoft is pretty good at making open world designs for all the shiz the get. RDR 2 however to me is a story and theme heavy game.and man that ending was 💔
Edit:imo ghost of tsushima on pc as my first playthrough was a 7/10. Great looking world but a dead world. Idk how come people criticize ubi for the game design when tsushima is same as that. I just hope ac returns to former glory some day.a guy can dream.
We’ll have to wait and see 🙌
It is so hilarious when the word "mid" is used appropriately 🤣
Red Dead Redemption 2 is one of the top 3 greatest games ever made.
100% agreed 🙌
It’s simple because cowboy yee haw.
Exactly 🙌
They wrote Arthur so well it’s easy to forget he wasn’t a real person
I know right 🙌
Read your comment
Its my favorite game of all time, i play it once per year.. dont disappoint gta
Ubisoft used to care, kinda went down hill after farcry 2
Yes unfortunately 😔
Ubisoft is trash. What they did to assassins creed keeps me up at night.
bro just wanted some help ): 1:27
We won’t talk about that 😆
GTA & Red Dead has completely ruined games for me in a way that nowadays I can’t even enjoy any other game because I can’t stop comparing the quality to RDR2/GTA. Despite Rockstar having a great track record in terms of quality, I’m STILL worried about GTA VI.
I guess we’ll have to wait and see 🙌
Does anyone play any of the Doom games?
Used to play a few of them 🤷♂️
tbh if feel that rdr2 will still beat GTA 6 in story
Probably, we’ll have to wait and see
only one game can beat RDR 2 ...........its RDR3
Very true 🙌
simply the best
🙌
What about Warframe or Destiny 2?
Very good games 🙌
Rdr2 falls short in its incredibly restrictive main line missions, clunky controls and too much realism (taking 2 minute to loot cupboards) I love it but games like Ragnarok are neck and neck because of these faults.
Good points, realism can sometimes be a negative 🙌
Rdr is so much better than GTA and I love GTA I grew up with it but GTA v is ass. And if you like rdr and you think God of war is good, play Days Gone. Days Gone and Ghost of Tsushima are the best exclusives on Playstation and the most deserving of sequels
Exactly 🙌
Yea Days Gone was probably my fav exclusive tbh; that game was so good.
Rdr2 is great but i m mad with Rockstar. Because Rdr2 online. I love it but i get nothing to do anymore. And i go angry if wie become the same Halloween pass again. So i will always lovd Rdr2. But i m done with Rockstar.
For now anyway 😞
Rdr 1
I hate rdr2 it make new triple A games look likes 💩. 😂
Hahaha it surely does 🙌
I think the only game that could be better than RDR2 will be RDR3 and for me GTA6 will not be better even
As good as the game is, no DLC especially for John Marston. The epilogue doesn't count as it's part of the base game. No cosmetic add-ons because the game is forcing you to play online. It would add tones of replay value for story mode players hence it's a cash grab GTA v online style. No events or new missions (DLC) like more bounty missions would be nice. sadly because of GTA VI rumored to be released in 2025 its almost guaranteed 🪨⭐ won't prioritize any new content as they'll want to milk 🍼🥛 shark 🦈 💳 cards for GTA VI online players
Then they'll probably get around to making RDR3 before RDR 2 has anything new literally happens in RDR 2
No offense but just because other games aren't as pretty doesn't mean they're not as good.
Very true, couldn’t have said it better myself, rdr2 definitely lacks fan support 🙌
Playing again. Just got passed chapter 2. Going stay there for ever. This and Ghost of Tsushima will probably be the last of the great games out there that are not poisoned with WOKE AIDS.
For real 🙌
FANTASTIC video, I just need to commend you on the quality of the work you put into this. One of the things i love about RDR 2 is that the entire game world is so gorgeous, that you could take a screenshot at any time, anywhere in the game world, and it would look like a gorgeous oil painting. I don’t know how many times I rode around in game and just stopped to admire the surroundings, and thought to myself, “I feel like I’m existing in a Bob Ross painting right now.”
I’m glad you made the comparison with Ubisoft because I have always done the same, and what really pisses me off about Ubisoft is I genuinely believe they have it in them to create games and game worlds at least SOMEWHAT close to what Rockstar does, they just don’t do it.
