My favorite part about when Shawn upstaged Hogan at SS'05, is that Hogan says he doesn't believe Shawn oversold & was just doing his part to help elevate the match.
My number one is Hideo Itami being upstaged by Finn Balor. They hyped the hell out of KENTA, and even made a televised contract signing that featured Hulk Hogan. Then Finn Balor pulled up as Hideo's tag team partner, and his demon entrance had the whole world talking. Soon afterward, Hideo got injured, and his WWE career never recovered.
My favourite parts of the Danielson moment is how humble he was about it and how certain wrestlers on stage were just like mate you TOTALLY deserve it.
During those Daniel Bryan chants, my favorite part was someone in the production truck managing to cut to the shot that had a very sick (both mentally and physically) CM Punk, just laughing at the segment being highjacked by the crowd
The one wrestler upstaging everyone on every show has got to be Simon Miller. He doesn't even have to appear, and the stadiums always have one or more of his signs.
10:43: And that's not all. After Foley got one over on The Rock, he ran out of the ring and began lapping it while chanting his name, and the fans ate it up.
@@Dadpool5864 Billy Gunn being on tv in 2023 is no doubt impressive, but it doesn't mean he recovered to be a main-eventer in the Attitude Era and beyond.
@@Dadpool5864 how did he do in wrestling between 2000 and 2019? In terms of the main event player that the WWF hoped he would be when they made him the KOTR and put him in a program with The Rock. He is over now as part of a feel good nostalgia act (which I do enjoy) and it helps that he's twice the size of 85% of the roster he is on. The Rock evicerated him back down to the midcard...
The fact Bryan, Khali, Punk and Rey just stood there laughing their asses off while Mark raised Bryan's hand was a great show of defiance; they found it so hilarious because they knew just HOW MAD Hunter, Steph, Randy (and *of course* Vince backstage) would legit be about it...🤣🤣
I don't know if it's in context or not, but if LA Knight doesn't get something good, I'd want a crowd takeover for him and get him a world title like Daniel Bryan back in the day
Paul London was with Ashley (the girl who went through that shit McMahon being pressed about now) I would smile too if my boss was getting blown up on screen too
Small correction, it is VERY confirmed that at the infamous royal rumble, Vince blew BOTH quads, or he'd have done that on one leg. He also refused help walking out to his limo to go get them taken care of.
Mr. Kennedy was originally going to be Vince's illegitimate son, but wellness policy violations and Randy Orton telling Vince that Mr. Kennedy was unsafe got Kennedy fired. That's why they went with Hornswoggle.
If I’m not mistaken, that was originally the plan, but he got it taken away because of his suspension for using steroids. I’ve heard something to that effect at least.
Anyone “so I wanna get a bit of offence in, go back and forth, a few close false finishes, then you win” Hogan “that’s not gonna work for me brother, I dominate, get hit once, hulk out, punches, big boot, leg drop, pin. Then I pose for 30 mins.”
We have to start understanding that Chris Benoit had dementia. He had the brain of a 70+ year old an was in his 30s or 40s. Dementia makes ALOT of people react that way.
@@JediNerd818yeah yeah yeah, we've all heard Paul Heyman say that. And I love Paul, I do. But Chris' brain in his autopsy had the most severe case of CTE the world has ever seen. And we don't even know the true extent of CTE and how it can actually affect your mind. He didn't have a choice, the monster the CTE made of him had a choice. That's the part that people can't understand. He was 2 different people for the last 2 years of his life
According to his autopsy, Benoit had severe CTE and the brain of an 85 year old Alzheimer's patient. While it doesn't absolve him from what he did, it does show he wasn't in control of what he did.
Angle lost so much of his talent when he returned in 2017; his acting talent and command of the English language just evaporated. Then they started making him wrestle more in 2019, toward Mania 35 and the end via *Baron Corbin* ...
Titus O'Neal falling upstaged the whole rumble

Mark a real one for raising Bryan’s hand💆🏻

The hole in AJ Styles’ match with Dean Ambrose definitely upstaged the awesome match they had
"The Rock thanks you" when Mick picked up Rocks shades
Jay Lethal upstaged Ric Flair. Woooooo!
10:43: And that's not all. After Foley got one over on The Rock, he ran out of the ring and began lapping it while chanting his name, and the fans ate it up.
".......infinite glory and universe and all of magic.."..😂😂😂😂😂 I'm weak!!!!
The chat between Rock and Foley happened well after Mania.
The Paul London thing is pretty awesome. That was my favorite.
Billy Gunn being career-murdered by The Rock has to be on here surely? The lad never truly recovered
You’re joking right?

Jerry lawler upstaging the rock and mankind during the poon tang pie segment on RAW. Him laughing was the funniest part of it

What about Bayley when Charlotte was trying to cut a promo and the entire crowd was singing her hey Bayley song?
Thanks WhatCulture Wrestling

Shawn Michaels vs hulk hogan has to be one of the greatest matches of all time! I was laughing so hard the entire time!
Shawn's was over selling, that's probably why you were laughing.
Especially with Daniel Bryan now in the rivalry promotion.
LA Knight as Eli Drake upstaged Drew Galloway in TNA Impact when they were in a group together. YEAH!!!!
Forgot about punk making faces when they had all the past champions in the ring and Steph is going on about how H was the best
Damian sandow was incredible.
Really he was just mimicking The Miz.
All of Whatculture upstaged by Garreth!!
Who was running WCW when they thought shockmaster was a cool name and a glittery stormtrooper helmet would be awesome?
Hey he had the funniest debut in wrestling history. Worth it.
I think it was Dusty Rhodes.
Who knows throw it at the wall and see if it sticks
Aron Stevens/Damien Sandow/Mizdow was so underappreciated inWWE. He should have gotten a better push
vince blow both his legs. first when he hit the ring thr second when he tried to stand
What is with Kane upstaging Rock and Hogen at the Same time
Paul London was with Ashley (the girl who went through that shit McMahon being pressed about now) I would smile too if my boss was getting blown up on screen too
CM Punk upstaged HHH during the same Daniel Bryan segment by mocking HHH while he spoke.
That was such a fun night to be in the crowd, just drowning out the mic with Daniel Bryan chants. It was so much louder in person than on tv.
I want to see a salmon bungee jumping now 😂🤣😂
Vince blew out both quads not just one
He blew out quads on each leg not just both of them.
You forgot Y2K upstaging the Rock
Sable & Marc Mero
Yob can't prove Benoit did it.
Happy 4 of July

Shawn's overselling of Hogan's offense is the only reason that match is watchable.
I miss Damien Sandow
I’m surprised there’s no “Scott Hall and Kevin Nash get upstaged by Sid” in this list.
