I really love the Art Nouveau aesthetic, especially in architecture! It has a fantasy/fairy tale quality to it that feels like a real-world equivalent to Elven architecture.
That was an extremely well done video, thanks for including so many great examples of those different artistic houses and connecting Art Nouveau with arts and crafts - and that that was a reaction to things like neo-gothicism.
Thank you supremereader. Never gotten a donation like that before :D I recently made a sort of follow up. Be sure to check out our Association of Ishtar series. We intened to include more Art Nouveau inspired art in the future.
In Galicia Spain i saw a lot of art nouveau as well specially in la Coruña. Ooooh, beautiful style is my favourite. I love to see more of that beautiful buildings .
As a matter of fact the Emerald City was inspired by Chicago White City in the books The Wizard of Oz was mostly looked to look towards the furture its honestly quite Iconic how difficult they are displayed Return to Oz Returns to form being more inspired by the Art Nouveau
The peak of European industrial age. The beauty and wealth flitting around of the decadent rentiers, art produced by wonderful craftsmen and architects....we are now in a similar deeper state of decadence.

Bonsart, thank you for a fine presentation. Perhaps you should come to England and teach English. The content of this video on Art Nouveau was comprehensive and very exciting
Thank you. Considering doning some more on Art Nouveau as its now the most populair video on my channel. If you like my english, maybe you enjoy my books and comics. The comics and books also have Art Nouveau influences.
In lord of the rings the elves had an art nouveau style and in avatar korra it has steam punk which i think comes from art nouveau as well Arcane from Netflix has alot of art nouveau flavour too
I found no refrences to Celtic Art in my research. Personaly I never made the association. I never seen knotwork, for example what celtic patterns are known for. Unlike, let say, japanese influences and themes. Celtic is more prevalent in the Art and Crafts movement which I also made a video on.
A few of your examples (not the ones towards the end that you label as modern) are not historical art or objects 1:18 those fighters are from some modern manga or video game. 9:27 the lamp is some modern thing they were advertising for sale on Facebook-- not real stained glass, as it is too fragile and unbalanced to be glass-- I believe the shades are fabric. At 12:13, the second set of Four Seasons are also manga or a modern drawing. This is my favorite era of design, the rest of the video is well done, thank you.
I'm aware. But I wanted to include something for my fellow geeks :) And I also a a big Elfquest fan, so I had to include that.FOr our own art we experimenting with an derivative style.

Art Nouveau is my favorite style. I love all the fluidity . I find art deco cold and industrial..

I feel like this style would work really well for the Emerald City in Wizard of Oz
As a matter of fact the Emerald City was inspired by Chicago White City in the books

Return to Oz Returns to form being more inspired by the Art Nouveau
This was a refreshing and surprising video about art nouveau. Including games at the end must be a first. Well done
Thank you! Our current Art Kickstarter also has a few nods to Arte Noveau and Art Deco if that interests you.
Great video and content. Riga has amazing Art Nouveau.
Very insightful. The influence of this French Art Noveau is still nuancing in French pop culture.
Thank you. I surprised this video has become one of the most popular on my channel as of late.

Bring Art Nouveau BACK!
Video game Syberia; The World Before is probably the most art noveau game ever. Treat for eyes and soul.
Is in my backlog somewhere.

Game series Dishonored is nearly art nouveau.
Arcane - animated series made completely in art nouveau style.
To what part are you refering? I only recal Art Deco and Gothic influences.
I recommend you to see the works of François Shuiten a Belgian comics author who created a world of art nouveau skyscrapers
I definitly will. What I found looks amazing.
The game called outer worlds has some art nouveau elements
Haven't played it in a long time. Don't recall.
When I first saw it, I thought it tied into Celtic artwork. Is that just a coincidence of the “nature” inspired aspect?
