The reason why it happened is kinda funny actually: So basically Joe Hawley (the red tie) made a solo album in 2016 called "Joe Hawley Joe Hawley", and one of its main features was the quantity of samples used, and while he didn't seem to be getting in trouble with this if he kept track of every sample used, he soon realized that he wasn't actually allowed to use all of those samples, but it was too late to change it so he uploaded it to Bandcamp as it was, with the exception of We Are In Space and White Rabbit, since those apparently were the ones with the most legal issues. However, some short time later this release of the album would be taken down from the platform because of the samples. Joe would upload some music videos of the songs featured in JHJH, but there wasn't any updates regarding the album itself. Until 2019, where Joe had the brilliant idea of "They can't sue my album if the samples are playing in reverse" (and reversing stuff in his songs is Joe's shtick anyways), so he decided to upload the album as "γɘlwɒH ɘoႱ γɘlwɒH ɘoႱ", with every song playing backwards with the exception of Aristotle's Denial, since that seems to be the only song that doesn't use any samples. That was the only way to listen to the album oficially until 2020, when Joe finally uploaded the unreversed album to streaming services, with the exception of Aristotle's Denial, which was backwards, since the γɘlwɒH ɘoႱ γɘlwɒH ɘoႱ version was already unreversed.
I love how everyone is talking about Turn the Lights Off getting more and more aggressive, but Why Bother, At the Club, Old Bike , The Rendezvous, Flamingo, Let Your Mother Know, Perfect, Shia LaBeouf, Just a Friend, and Nobody Just Like You do the same thing.
The Disney Junior one specifically took more time because at first i though Rob only did 5 albums for that, but then i checked his RUclips channel and i found like eight more.
I was today years old when I realized that Tally Hall were the people behind the songs in the Happy Monster Band. This band has metaphorically been with me since childhood
@@N95j Quite embarrassing to admit but when the chorus of banana man hot I had to do a double take because I was transported back in time to when I was little and was watching a fursuit dancer in some yellow balloon bouncing on stage and chucking bananas at the audience to that song. I used to quote it when I was little and the song would occasionally remind me of that video when I'd hear it occasionally. To realise it was this bloody band that's been following me through trends and stuff was also behind that sent me for a loop.
Jesus Christ this is incredible- this must have taken forever to edit. I consider myself a pretty big fan of theirs but there's still so much here that I didn't even know existed
The thing about being a Tally Hall fan is that everytime you think you know everything about them, you find something you've never seen before, and it will probably keep happening since the fanbase keeps finding old stuff that was originally though to be lost fairly frequently now.

The reason why it happened is kinda funny actually:
So basically Joe Hawley (the red tie) made a solo album in 2016 called "Joe Hawley Joe Hawley", and one of its main features was the quantity of samples used, and while he didn't seem to be getting in trouble with this if he kept track of every sample used, he soon realized that he wasn't actually allowed to use all of those samples, but it was too late to change it so he uploaded it to Bandcamp as it was, with the exception of We Are In Space and White Rabbit, since those apparently were the ones with the most legal issues.
That was the only way to listen to the album oficially until 2020, when Joe finally uploaded the unreversed album to streaming services, with the exception of Aristotle's Denial, which was backwards, since the γɘlwɒH ɘoႱ γɘlwɒH ɘoႱ version was already unreversed.
not surprised that "&" makes somewhat of a beat
I'm sure this was hell on earth to edit and got it ended beautiful.
Great job there
It somehow was hellish but fun to make at the same time, so at least it made me realize that i enjoy editing videos.

14:50 Close enough, welcome back Skeleton Appreciation Day In Vestal, NY (Bones)
i learned so much from this
Thanks! Despite this being primarily a shitpost i wanted to make it into some sort of "learning" experience about Tally Hall's more obscure stuff.
@@allballs9944 you did an amazing job! as a fairly new fan of tally hall I loved seeing the music that came before and after tally hall
The amount of & in & is both surprising and unsurprising
I love how everyone is talking about Turn the Lights Off getting more and more aggressive, but Why Bother, At the Club, Old Bike , The Rendezvous, Flamingo, Let Your Mother Know, Perfect, Shia LaBeouf, Just a Friend, and Nobody Just Like You do the same thing.
Dear God, some of those must have needed so much patience
The Disney Junior one specifically took more time because at first i though Rob only did 5 albums for that, but then i checked his RUclips channel and i found like eight more.
I knew about the Monster Band, but I didn't even know that Rob did more Disney Songs! Great work collecting all of this
This is amazing. I can’t imagine how much work was put into this.
I was today years old when I realized that Tally Hall were the people behind the songs in the Happy Monster Band. This band has metaphorically been with me since childhood
im in the same boat as you. i think i remember listening to “do the monster stomp” when i was little
@@N95j Quite embarrassing to admit but when the chorus of banana man hot I had to do a double take because I was transported back in time to when I was little and was watching a fursuit dancer in some yellow balloon bouncing on stage and chucking bananas at the audience to that song. I used to quote it when I was little and the song would occasionally remind me of that video when I'd hear it occasionally. To realise it was this bloody band that's been following me through trends and stuff was also behind that sent me for a loop.
6:38 me listing why I love tally hall
Jesus Christ this is incredible- this must have taken forever to edit. I consider myself a pretty big fan of theirs but there's still so much here that I didn't even know existed
The thing about being a Tally Hall fan is that everytime you think you know everything about them, you find something you've never seen before, and it will probably keep happening since the fanbase keeps finding old stuff that was originally though to be lost fairly frequently now.
@@allballs9944 Yeah sounds about right. Three separate times I found an an artist that I really liked, only to search up the artist on Google and for it to be revealed to me that they're related to/part of Tally Hall (those 3 times being Miracle Musical, Rob Cantor, and then Cojum Dip) before I just decided to actually read into them and fall down the Tally Hall rabbit hole

I saw a similar video but instead of Tally Hall it was with Ween. I don't understand why people make these kinds of videos but they fuel my existence. Thank you for your hard work.
Kinda cool that keep it coming back project is here. That’s neat. I thought that it is not going to be in here, but very glad that’s here.
Yeah, main reason why i added the fan stuff section was because i find both We Think We're Playing in a Band and Keep It Coming Back to be severely underrated.
WOW! What dedication!! I'm glad to have closed out the video! Thanks for including me
Thank you! I love your Time Machine cover, so it's an honor to see you here.
I am so sorry you had to edit this video...
I COULD NEVER.
Honestly, I'm putting this in my favorite uploads playlist.

if anyone is curious how the hell tally hall ended up making a kids show the person who made the music video for hidden in the sand had a contact at disney who needed a band who could make different types of music and thats how we got happy monster band
I was in awe throughout the whole video I can’t believe you really did this
Yeah me neither
Every time they said turn the lights off, it sounded like each time tally hall was upgrading
did i just watch half an hour of tally hall song names?
yes.
did i enjoy it?
every second.
I love this! I can't even begin to fathom how much time this took, thank you for including my cover :)
Thank you, i'm glad you liked the video :)
Imagine you have a kid or younger cousin, you let them listen to some Disney junior nursery rhymes, and then you hear it.
absolute perfection… you deserve everything for this.
as someone who didn't know they had music besides good & evil and marvin's I'm surprised they made so much

Hi, this is the video's uploader but on their main account, and i just wanted to thank you all for 1K views, i though this video would get way less than that. It also makes me so happy to see people in the comment section that i've seen in other Tally Hall videos, i think that's pretty nice :).
I'm planning on doing a second part, but i haven't been so motivated these past days, and i have ideas for other videos too, so i hope i can finish any of those soon.

Joe Hawley sure does love playing his music backwards

this is such a fun listen through and im so appreciative of all the aesthetic matching you did with each album. CHEF KISS

TIL that THIS BAND DID THE MUSIC FOR HAPPY MONSTER BAND...no wonder I loved that show so much 😅
I used to watch Happy Monster Band too, so it feels like i was destined to like Tally Hall eventually.
@@allballs9944 Also knowing that the little "WhITe BaLL" counted made me so happy X,D
(And makes me wish we got more ad libs like it but it's fine)
Tally Hall might as well be called Smart Pistol
THEY DON’T MISS
There's nothing wrong with the Disney stuff, tbh. I'm almost 20, but I'd happily listen to that stuff. It's like the kid's albums They Might Be Giants did. Yes, they're for kids, but they're still pretty good.
I agree with this, i just wrote stuff like "Rob why" because that's when i just started editing it, after that it definitely grew on me.
(also i'm a TMBG fan and i find funny that the way i first heard their music was very similar as how i first listened to Tally Hall (TMBG composed music for Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Tally Hall made music for happy Monster Band, and they both aired on Playhouse Disney at a similar time)
I love TMBG’s kids stuff to it has the same vibe as tally hall’s
I mean, just because something is for kids, doesn't mean it has to be bad. Kids deserve nice things, too
Salute to this soldier who looked through like 2 billion Disney songs

Wow that crispy Happy Monster Band art
For some reason that was the only version of the image i could find online. I think at that time I could have it upscaled, but that was at the time where i was pretty much speedrunning making the video.
